I was hoping because this was RIGHT ACROSS the street from The Pantages (where I had tickets for a show) it would be a great dinner place for my friends and I...TURNED OUT TO BE AN EXPENSIVE MESS of a night. immediately it was a bad situation because 2 of us ordered coke & Diet Coke, they came FLAT & we were told they wouldn’t fix the co2 (which is needed to make soda bubbley) until after we left because they was an INVOLVED process (HAVING BEEN A WAITRESS FOR YEARS, that should take less than 5 minutes to fix...) also, We were a party of FIVE and we were hungry, but IMMEDIATELY told it was a “sharing” portions restaurant so we tried to order enough but we would’ve been better off just having ordered an ENTREE each...THEY SHOULDNT PUSH SHARING, When all the items are SOOOOOO TINY!! AGAIN, we were a PARTY OF 5 ...we ordered a “side of $8 fries” (the equivalent to a small/med box of McDonald fries) an order of Asparagus (we each got the equivalent of 2 stalks each) an Order of Chicken and waffles (a chicken breast on a waffle that could only be split into 4....So one person ate a 1/4 of a piece of chicken breast, another person ate just a 1/4 of waffle so there would be enough to go around. We also passed around an $18 grilled cheese on white bread (AGAIN CUT INTO ONLY 4 pcs) AND DOES NOT COME WITH A SIDE , and a salmon dish which yielded about one to two ounces TOPS per person....We were SO HUNGRY Still, we tried to order some HOUSEMADE CHIPS after 45 mins and NO CHIPS, we ask and get “uhhhhhh, they should be up soon”. A BASKET OF CHIPS?!? POTATO CHIPS?!? Takes more than 45 mins to make? BE HONEST, YOU FORGOT TO PUT IT IN. JUST A HORRIBLE OVERPRICED DINNER NIGHT...I was EMBARRASSED I EVER RECOMMENDED that place. Sadly, we head to the theatre and saw a SHAKE SHACK 100ft away...WISH WE HAD GONE THERE!!!!!

We had dinner right before an evening show at the Pantages Theater and it was a great choice. The food was great and there was plenty to choose from We had a table upstairs by the window overlooking Hollywood Boulevard so there was good entertainment value while we ate as well. I would definitely recommend it for a pre-show dinner.

Large tapa-style dishes. Varied and tasty. I appreciate the tip being included. It's the way it should be in this country. Service was excellent. Favorite dishes: lamb burger, spicy nav and cheese, ribs.

Great fresh food and excellent service. They got us in and out in time to see our show. We like the way they add a standard tip into the your bill...easy and fair. We are already planning to return.

Went to wood and vine for a regular night out and the place was essentially empty. Was sat immediatly and the waitress brought us water and asked for drink order. She never came back. There were only two other parties outside besides us. The manager came to talk to the table next to us and proceeded to sit down and talk to them all about how he doesnt believe in tiping and he puts automatic 20% "service fee" on all tables to maintain quality of life for his employees. All this is fine but we sat there for 20mins listening to him talk trying to validate his pretentious life while his waitress stood around enjoying her quality of life and not even returning to our table. Why would she? She already gets 20% automatically so why bother doing her job. She did however re-seat another party near the fire for a $20 tip. We got up and walked out, nobody said a thing. If you want the vapid hollywood experince come here for an over priced evening.

Katrina, our host shes very nice and accomodating. We just had problem getting parking either valet or in a structure. Maybe its just the occasion (Valentines Day). But we were still accomodated eventhough we’re late. But overall its really nice dining experience. Food was great. Crew were really nice and polite. Will come back.

booked For Valentine’s Day. We were looking for a place to eat before a show across the street at Pantages. We arrived an hour and 20 minutes before the show. The server promptly came to our table, we went ahead and ordered drinks and food all at one time, we wanted to make sure that we were on time to our show and we informed the server that we were going to a show. The first thing I was disappointed about was a set menu, I didn’t see that anywhere on OpenTable and I called in to confirm and was told the regular menu would be used. The set menu was $80 a person. We ordered a bottle of champagne which did not arrive for almost 25 minutes and it was warm, when the gentleman opened it half of it fell on the floor. We sat and we waited and we waited for our food. Of course he was starving. We asked the server that walk by do you know when our food should be here. We are more than 30 minutes in and he says it should be there any moment. Randomly one of our item shows up. Five minutes later the server walks over and says he’s really sorry something happened with the ticket and our order was not actually placed. He said they would be comping a big portion of our check. Finally odds and ends randomly show up and no specific order whatsoever. The meatballs were completely raw inside. We told the server and he said that they are supposed to be raw. I’ve never in my life eaten a meatball with ground beef and pork that was raw. Absolutely disgusting. We received our main course and or dessert at the same time. Rushing to eat to make the show on time. We never got to finish our food before leaving. We received the check they comped one of our $80 meals. Our check was a total $180.The manager never even took the time to walk over and apologized to us for the inconvenience. I will never go to this restaurant again and it’s too bad the decor is beautiful and the regular menu looks really good.

Come with my parents for dinner. The waitress is pretty nice and kind. The food itself, should mention that the salmon was really delicious with sauce, so as the sea bass. But it’s sad to say the chicken with green rice is not fit for us.
Above all it was a fantastic meal for us.

We had a terrible dining experience at Wood & Vine last night and will never return. Having been there in the past and liked it we were shocked. They add a 20% gratuity now to all checks now and the service reflects it. Rude waiters & hostess. We changed tables mid dinner and had to move our own plates. Food not worth the bad service.

Heartbreaking, I’ve been in the restaurant business more than half my life...which means about 16 years... and for the first time, I had to send back white wine for being warm. Then, the $25 cheese and charcuterie board the meat was presliced (from the manufacturer) the cheese was processed (other than the Bermuda Triangle from cypress grove) the roasted asparagus and roasted tomatoes had no color and looked damn near boiled the asparagus’s was woody in texture from not being trimmed properly. The cod I ordered smelled very “cod-y” which I’m ok with until I realized that the fish had more salt in its life than seasoned and in the pan. The quinoa had a beautiful texture and again...no flavor. It was devoid of seasoning which is a basic principle that you learn in your first two classes of culinary school. There was no acid in the dish either which might have been the saving grace. I savored my replaced wine to get me through the dish. I couldn’t pay and get our fast enough we rushed to pie hole after our $147 tab.

I wanted to like this being that it’s our first in the series of our Pantages season tickets. I think I’ll stick to shake shack and pie hole. I will always throw money and Danny Meyer.

Please have the chef get off her cell phone and do a line check wood and vine. You’re beautiful inside but not in my belly.

PS our server was great so please don’t think this is a service review. She remedied my concerns with ease.

This restaurant is totally overpriced, and the food is mediocre at best. As well the service is spotty. They charge $24 for a burger that you are supposedly supposed to share, but it's just a regular burger size. Although I was seated immediately, I had to flag someone down after ten minutes to order a glass of wine. Will not go back even though it's so convenient for Pantages Theater.

The location (i.e., right across the street from the Pantages) is about all this restaurant has going for it. The menu is a little weird... it purports to be a tapas place, but the main dishes are all single servings. The food itself is just OK. We got the harvest salad, the chicken and waffles, and some other forgettable plate. The salad was a fat stack of arugula with a few pomegranate seeds and some goat cheese on top. There was another salad available as a "special" that was exactly the same but made with kale instead of arugula. We didn't try it, just thought it was weird enough to mention.

The chicken and waffles were disappointing. It wasn't a great cut of chicken, and most of the breading/seasoning flakes off between your plate and your mouth. The waffle and syrup were alright, but nothing special.

For drinks, I got a Brother Thelonius and my wife got some flowery cocktail. The beer is one of my favorites, but it wasn't served particularly cold. My wife's cocktail was alright, but elaborate drinks aren't really my thing and she didn't seem to be crazy about it either.

The restaurant has a spot on their menu for their daily special and it lists $29 as the price. My husband ordered the special and it ended up being $62. Also, the “share” plates are barely enough for 1 person. Spent a ton of money and left hungry.

Reservation was for 5:45 we should up at 5:05 and were seated quickly, the atmosphere was great and the place was empty so full attention from wait staff at our disposal. we ordered drinks and I was intrigued by and ordered the chef special which was puff pastry salmon ravioli priced at $29. You get three large toaster strudel like in shape and size. For $10 each you get nothing but a mouthful of dough and honestly at best 1-2 tablespoons of salmon inside. I was really disappointed since I could have and would have ordered the Salmon plate at the same price and received a full salmon fillet and a side. We also ordered the asparagus which was good, and the calamari also tasty. Unfortunately we didnt have a very attentive server, she only came by to drop off our food and bill. The best service all night came from our servers assistant who made sure our waters were always full, give that guy a raise! I would have loved to asked my server about our dish and expectations but to no avail. We spent $123 on one main, two sides, and two drinks and we actually left because we were still hungry and wanted more drinks but not at the price point and service they provided. The owner walked by and asked how everything was, maybe I should have said something, but my server was helping the table right next to me and I didnt want their night to be tainted by my review or put the server on the spot so I kept it to myself. Fantastic atmosphere, but execution from the FOH and the chef special will probably deter me from returning unfortunately.

The place is cute and conveniently located across the street from the Pantegeous. When we were still eating the waiter asked if we wanted anything else and when we said yes proceeded to inform us that the kitchen had closed and we only had 1 option for dessert. We would have appreciated he let us know of the kitchen closing earlier so we could have planned better. The place is cute both inside and outside where it gives a terrace feel.

We have liked Wood and Vine in the past, but we were less than impressed.(Certainly for the price) There is a certain level of arrogance when a menu says that dishes will come out as prepared in no specific order, but at 50 to 100 dollars a person I expect a chef to control the narrative of a meal as it hits the table. In this case the dishes that are clearly sides were served 20-30 minutes prior to the entree's. The carrots and sprouts were good enough, but when you have eaten them all before the proteins come, one wonders how the chef thinks the heavier courses will present. Either the chef is not in control of the dining experience or she hasn't thought through the experience. Side note they were out of several popular menu options as well, forcing several second choices to be made. It was a marginal experience with a not so marginal cost.
