Wood & Vine
Wood and Vine is a New American restaurant and cocktail bar with a vintage Hollywood feel and expansive patio. We offer a menu of seasonal, ingredient-driven shared plates in a social atmosphere, complemented by local small batch beers and wines, and classic craft cocktails. Our kitchen is open until midnight, Tuesday-Saturday.
What a gem of a restaurant! In trying to find a place to eat prior to our Pantages show, my husband and I opted for Wood & Vine after searching Yelp and getting and additional recommendation from a friend. From the delish cocktails to the outrageous chocolate dessert, our meal was a delight. The service was quick, our drinks were constantly full, and the food (especially the burgers and brussel sprouts) were top notch!
Love this place! Wally is the best! I dream of the mac n' cheese shells and pork shanks. Perfect place to grab a bite pre-Pantages - they get you out on time.
Perfect location for a meal before or after a show at the Pantages. Food was great and the sharing plates make the cost bearable.
Always an outstanding meal and time spent at Woo and Vine! Our go to place on Hollywood and Vine
The food was not enjoyable and we had to send back one of the entrees. The other shared plates were average, but I would not return after this experience.
Waiter (Alan) was so friendly. Great food and vibe.
This was my second visit to Wood & Vine and I can honestly say I will be looking forward to the next time. Both the Brussels Sprouts and Red Flannel Salad are must haves in my book no matter how many other plates we're ordering! Shared plates are the way to go to experience so many delicious, freshly made, dishes! Very kind & attentive servers and staff. Would I recommend to a friend? Yes I have, and family, too!
Food was amazing. There was talk of menu change, but I hope they don’t.
Had a reservation and got best table in the house. Everything (ordered 5 entrees and 2 sides) tasted fabulous!!! Well prepared and well presented. Service a little distracted but generally on point. Highly recommend.
Food was amazing! A bit overpriced, but still a very fun afternoon!
Every chance I get! Great food. Great style of plates. Tapas sized portions to share makes it an intimate experience.
Delicious, right across the street from the Pantages.
The only issue was that the price was a little more than we anticipated. Our server (I am so sorry, I cannot remember his name) was so funny, so energetic that we left talking about him as much as the food. And the food? To die for. The chicken-n-waffle was so amazing! The cheese and shells? Best Mac and Cheese I’ve ever had! We loved it!
The perfect place for dinner before the show. The food was excellent and service extremely fast and friendly.
The restaurant is beautiful (we sat in the patio), the service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious!
Our server was fantastic, gave great recommendations. Loved the family-style serving method, where food comes out as it is ready. The items are all shareable, so as long as you are sharing with the table, you will love this. This was explained up front and was wonderful. Perfect place before the show. Highly recommend The Standard (the burgers) and the Pork Shanks. Also the Crispy Brussels are to die for!
Enjoyed this place a lot even though it has a limited menu and beer selection. My only complaint is the automatic 20% gratuity. Yes they have all over the menu and website but 20% seems excessive by default. It wasn't a problem for us because our server was great and we would have tipped 20% anyway. But... what would one do if the service wasn't worthy of 20%? Would I go back, absolutely!
The food and ambiance was great. Kathryn was our server. She was polite, courteous, and patient with all our questions. I would recommend this to all my friends.
Phantom of The Opera
What an amazing experience! Food is exceptional. The burger was great as well as the fries, brussel sprouts and tuna appetizer. The chocolate tasting dessert is not to be missed!! Craft cocktails super tasty.
We sat in the patio which is dynamite and super cool. The highlight was Adriana is an extraordinary and exemplary host who completely made our experience magical and completely memorable. Thank you Adriana!!
It was ok. Nice for a quick bite
Had an amazing time here the other night. The food was outstanding and the service from Wally and his team is second to none! The halibut was spectacular I recommend it if it’s on the menu. Definitely round off your experience with the butterscotch, it’s phenomenal! And they played a movie once the sun went down.
The experience was very enjoyable and food awesome
Great service, good food, not amazing but worth it for the proximity to Pantages and the ambience. Also Great Cocktails!
Overall experience before show at Pantages was a meh! Food was decent, however the drinks were just plain bad!
Our first time to Wood & Vine and the food, ambiance and best of all service, especially from Alec, was excellent!
Prices were a little on the high side. The steak for two, specifically, wasn’t worth the $120. It’s advertised as 32oz but half that was the bone. One of the best tasting steaks I’ve ever had however. Adriana was absolutely terrific. I would return!
Service was excellent. Drinks were overpriced. Don't like that 20% gratuity was charged even for a party of two.
Great place to go when in Hollywood, our regular stop before a Pantages show
Please serve main entre WITH side dishes. We ordered the steak dinner for 2 and received our side dishes at least 10 minutes before our entre. The staff was very friendly which is why I would be willing to give it another try.
Really enjoyed the ambiance and food! And it was so convenient...just across from Pantages Theater! We'd definitely go back!
A nice little bistro type restaurant where the theme is to share plates. There is a back outdoor patio that is especially nice when the weather is good, as was the case when we were there. Their main showcase, however, is the old traditional long bar where a multitude of different drinks are available. My only complaint is that their wine list is a bit limited. Also, they have a policy where there is a 20% surcharge that is added to your bill in lieu of any tipping. No real complaints there since our server was very attentive and helpful. But I do wonder how some people would react if they felt the service was significantly subpar. Maybe they just make sure their staff is top notch. Anyway, a definite thumbs up!
I just really enjoy this restaurant. I never have a bad experience and I always like the food and the atmosphere.
Always an excellent dinner before the theater. Wally and his staff are superb! Hidden gem in Hollywood
Fun place for shared plates but some things are really difficult to share (things with bones, etc). Be mindful of that with larger group - fine if just 2 or 3.
Perfect location for dinner before going to the theater. The menu is simple and the food was excellent, a bit overpriced, but I would definitely go back again. There are plenty of parking lots/garages to choose from within walking distance.
Made the reservation with open table . They had someone buy out the bar area and the top area but they still served us they went out of there way to find us a seat . Food was awesome chicken and waffle and burgers were great .
We love Brandon and everyone else at Wood and Vine! It’s our favorite Hollywood restaurant. Can’t go to the Pantages without going to wood and vine!
We were seated for 20 minutes before anyone came to take a drink order. Because we were going to the theatre we chose to order food right away. The waiter offered to comp drinks for the wait and we were grateful however when the bill finally came the drinks were added and we didn’t have time to find the waiter to change it. Been here before and service was better. Not sure why this was less than perfect. We’ve been here several times and it’s the first time we’ve experienced the lost service. Brussel Sprouts and Twin Burgers were delicious.
Great location for a pre-show dinner as it's across the street from Pantages. I liked that everything was designed to share. Shrimp and grits were great and the chocolate board was a great dessert option. I'll be back next time I go to a show at the Pantages.
