Wood & Vine
Wood and Vine is a New American restaurant and cocktail bar with a vintage Hollywood feel and expansive patio. We offer a menu of seasonal, ingredient-driven shared plates in a social atmosphere, complemented by local small batch beers and wines, and classic craft cocktails. Our kitchen is open until midnight, Tuesday-Saturday.
The menu is very limited for two people to share. If it was a larger group, I think it would be better. There were not a lot of things that I really liked, but my husband found lots that he liked.
service and food are always wonderful!!! Inside is a bit noisy which is why we usually go outside but it was raining that night!
This is one of our favorite places to eat before going to the Pantages. Their Brussel Sprouts are a must have each time we dine here. Great seasonal dishes all the time,
Food plates are reasonably priced and prepared for sharing. Music and vibe is awesome. If you like yard house you will like this place.
If u r going to the Pantages it is the place to go. They always get u out on time. Food and service are great. Wait staff does an excellent job and the chef knows what he is doing. Don't forget the desserts, they are worth coming back for after the show if you missed them with your meal. Brussel sprouts are amazing, sea bass is also excellent. If not going to theater, come after 8 for a leisurely dinner and avoid the crowd. You can actually talk to each other here.
Fabulous food, great atmosphere, awesome staff, patio was enchanting!
Just super. We will go back. Food drinks service outstanding.
A little noisy but ok.
We loved it
Exceptional service. We ordered way too much food!
Outstanding service and food. Great decor and very convenient to the Pantages. Will definitely go again when we we see Hamilton!
It’s just super convenient to the Pantages.. would I go as often if it wasn’t? Probably not.. food pretty mediocre ( to non eatable as the Pad Thai was due to being so salty) but it’s easy.. drinks so so unless an easy one for bartenders to figure out. Totally got my daughters drink wrong. It’s nice to sit on back patio
Brussels are the best! Chicken and waffles on point. Just needed a sharper knife for the short ribs😃
Food was excellent
Service could use some improvement
Perfect for dinner before show at Pantages. The food is good and service is outstanding . Very accommodating and friendly staff. Menu is limited but what they offer is tasty and they make a great dirty martini.
Food was delicious. Received outstanding service from Jace. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic service - waitstaff and bar staff couldn't have been nicer and went out of their way to maker our evening special.
Wood & Vine was such a fun pre-Pantages dinner location with friends. The food and service were fantastic! And the proximity to Pantages cannot be beat.
Wood & Vine is our go to spot for theater night In Hollywood! Wally and the staff make us feel so special the food is always delicious, innovative and the cocktails never disappoint!
Date night with my husband
Great pre-theater brunch & dinner spot. Delicious food & drinks
Wonderful experience! I had the pork shanks and Caesar salad, delicious 😋
The setting is casual and relaxed. The service has always been great. The food is very tasty. It has spice, but just enough, not overwhelming. I recommend sitting on the patio if weather permits. It is also somewhat quieter than inside.
Very convenient for a show at the Pantages Theater.
Love this restaurant! Very deceiving from the outside. Has a great outdoor space in the back filled with live trees and lights. Love that they play a movie on the wall. The food was great! There were 3 of us and we shared the Standard Burgers and Thai Noodles which was plenty. Also had the donut holes for dessert. It's a great place to eat either before or after a show at The Pantages since it's literally across the street.
Pre- theater- fabulous!
Service was great!! Kudos to the servers!! A lil too dark ! But not a problem ! Done of the food was great but the Thai noodles needs to tone down ! Too salty too spicy and too acidic overpowering !! But the pork shank, the hamburger the chicken with waffles are great!!
I was not aware that food selections were geared for couples. But the waiter assured me that the entrees were not that large and would be OK for a single person. (There was a burger and brew option, but I chose not to opt for it.) The pork shanks were very good, but four were too much for me. The crispy brussel sprouts were another story. They were VERY spicy (way too hot for me) and VERY undercooked: still hard and crunchy inside. Again, the portion was excessive for a single person. The atmosphere was loud and noisy due to all the hard (non-sound absorbing) surfaces. Ambience was ruined by young woman at the next table who spent the entire time I was there complaining about Los Angeles at the top of her voice. Service people all were great!
Asked for an indoor table, seated outside as far back in the back as possible as we could be. Table for five was in no way large enough, nor was it set for five. NO ONE read the reservation, clearly. My cheeseburger, ordered distinctly, clearly, meat, cheese, and bacon. NO bread nothing else...Came covered in Avocado. I have severe anaphalaxis, so if I hadn't realized this, it would have been really bad for me. Fatal. The server, when we found him, offered to replace it. I finally got it at the end of everyone's meal. Complimentary, cold, no bacon. The whole "we will charge you a 20% tip" thing was ludicrious, as there was virtually better service from the bus help than our server. Our second attempt. As members of Pantages, we thought, maybe. However, no. Not again. And yes, I will tell the Pantages and everyone I know. HUGE BILL HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT
Our server took the liberty to add a 20 % tip in our bill without our consent. We only had a party of four in our group and typically restaurants add a 18% tip for parties bigger than six. This was an unacceptable gesture and rude customer service. We enjoyed the food and ambiance but customer service was not good.
LOVED this place! Came before a show at the Pantages and it was perfect!
The food is overpriced and quantity and quality is lacking. I had Thai noodles with chicken and the noodles were the worst I have ever had, under cooked for sure. Also, the spices were horrible. Mac and Cheese noodles were also under cooked. The restaurant is like TGI Friday on a Friday night. Super loud, tables so close you feel you are in a cafeteria. I would never return.
I love this restaurant. The food is excellent both in taste and presentation. Parts of the menu change with the season, but certain standbys are always there . On this most recent occasion we ordered the really spectacular pork shanks and an excellent mushroom risotto. We love the idea of sharing, as suggested on the menu and also like the fact that service is included. Service was uniformly good natured and efficient. Best place to go before or after a show at the Pantages.
We had a great time and the food was delicious
Everything was just ok - the Brussels sprouts were excellent, as was some of the cheese on the charcuterie board.
Wood and Vine is such a great place to eat before going to the Pantages and I’ve been coming for years. We had great service but the a new dish, Thai noodles was hardly edible it was so salty and too much soy sauce. Too bad because it sounded great on the menu. Our waiter was gracious enough to take it off the bill. On the other hand the simple burger, beer and fries was terrific. Will always come back but they need to fix the Thai dish. It could be so good with a little tweaking
I love this place. Perfect for before the theater; perfect anytime. Sharing plates and excellent food!
the risotto was dry and tasteless - im not sure how other ppl felt but their food looked kinda unappetizing - the brussels were ok but HUGE and we ordered 2 and the waiter shouldve mentioned how outsized the portion was bf we ordered.
wont go back - it was dead quiet on a sunday night at 8
Perfect spot for before or after the theater. Great food and cocktails - I love the small plates to share!
Went to see show with friends. Experience was great
They charged 20% services fee on a wine bottle and drinks . We were there less then 40 mins and only saw the waiter to order, bring bottle and glasses and check.
Loved the outside atmosphere
The sea bass tasted great, but that’s where it ended. Ambiance is rustic shabby-chic, sat on metal bottomed outdoor French cafe’ style chairs. Water was served regularly, but at room temperature or warmer. Food is served as it is prepared... waited 30 minutes for first plate, and 10 more minutes for the bass. The waiter was polite but never provided updates on the meal. The fixed 20% tip probably didn’t encourage him. I had noted in our reservation it was my wife’s birthday... they never acknowledged. Unfortunate.
