It's hard to make a decision about a restaurant during Covid restrictions and eating in the north alley was a little strange but they made the best of it. The brunch we had was just average and not up to some other places we've gone.
Upon arrival multiple staff went by with no acknowledgement. No greeting when we approached the table just a “Do you have a reservation?”. Did not know the only menu available was brunch before 3:00 pm. Sat at table for almost 5 minutes with, again, no acknowledgement from staff. Did not feel comfortable so we left without ordering drinks or food. Have been to the taproom before with no issues. This experience was not a good one. Will not be back until business is back to normal.
Great service, awesome beers and definitely would recommend the big pretzel
Wish I could give service more stars! Was just cutting through town on a trip from NC and it was worth the stop. The waitress was phenomenal and made my date and I feel so welcomed and taken care of. We had the brats, and as a Wisconsin girl at heart they were on point. Only regret is that I didn’t buy some of the Daybreak beer to-go.
Wonderful experience! I will definitely be coming back again.
Great place to eat. Love the outdoor seating. Highly recommended and will definitely go back. French dip is super sandwich.
Great Octoberfest options!
The beer and food was exceptional as always. I love that they're always adding new beers to their portfolio, and we really enjoyed their Oktoberfest menu since we haven't been out much since April. We also were very impressed and appreciative of the pains they've taken to comply with the COVID-19 regulations and to provide a safe and comfortable environment for their patrons. Their new outdoor seating was perfect. So great to be back! Thank you Wolf's Ridge for hanging in their for all of us!
WRB is doing everything right during covid. We felt safe and enjoyed sitting outside.
So happy to have you back on the streets - Ha! Was a cold evening but the beer tasted so good and the food was cooked to perfection. Thank you for all you are doing to keeping us safe and being able to enjoy Wolf's Ridge Brewing!
To my surprise- pictures on Open table (porcelain platters plated beautifully “with Tweezers”)- COULD NOT BE MORE DIFFERENT- from what we got- a metal tray with checkered paper on it. Even though the food is “a OK”, there is nothing amazing to “write home about”. (solid staples of brewery- sandwiches, fries, brownies). Definitely not what’s on open table pictures.
The ONLY SITTING OPTION - outside, no indoor entering at all (main doors are locked, and brewery door is “barred” by a long table) aside entrance to the bathroom. EXTREME ENFORCEMENT of masks even when there are 2 tables sitting outside at almost 10pm and they are about 30 feet apart- (If you are medically unable to wear one/or have any other LEGAL/constitutional reason not wearing one- I don’t think this place is for u. The Door attendant is VERY ADAMANT. Speaking of outside sitting - it’s literally outside on the street- behind orange construction barricades, each table placed right next to the parking meter, with the view of the parking lot, and cars driving by)
The only positive thing about this place was our lady-server, she was very professional, friendly and accommodating. Thank you! (She even took our order, which should be placed online by oneself, - orders online do not have descriptions for dishes- it’s truly a guessing game, since there is only a name, no description of preparation or sauce stated- example “drumsticks”, are they fried? Are they baked? Are they sweet? Spicy? Etc)
I get it - everyone is thrown off by this unfortunate situation we are in, but this place isn’t managing their business well.
Sorry, no return business from me.
Ordering process was a bit interesting, If you're looking to order things throughout the night you will need to make and pay for each order separately. Otherwise the food was great and staff very helpful and nice. Can't wait to go back when the tap room opens!
Excellent food, exceptional service. Would definitely recommend.
The app to order food is not easy to use. Waiter had to come back three times to get drinks order right. We were seated outdoors which everyone is but in full sun and in an alley. Need to get awnings and some plants etc for more comfort and ambience - when you go to a restaurant you want to be comfortable - not feeling like 100F. Very limited menu but food was okay that we ordered- would we go back again ? Not until seating gets better as above and a better menu.
Wolf's Ridge has adapted really well during Covid times. Their online ordering was so smart and fast and the outdoor environment and organization felt well thought out and safe. Also just can't recommend the food here enough.
Dined outside on their patio setup, and it was a great experience! Very well spaced out, mobile menu was easy to navigate, beers and pizza were excellent!
They have some bugs to work out with their outdoor service. They had very few drink options and menu was limited.
This place has the best atmosphere, food and beer!
This was a great spot for a date or special occasion celebration! We tried some of their beers by doing a flight. They have a great variety of beers, so there is something for everyone. If you go on the weekend, they only have a brunch menu that is à la carte. My boyfriend and I shared the chilaquiles, and it was PLENTY for the both of us. I highly recommend this dish—the smoked sour cream was unbelievably good. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely be coming back when their tap room is open. I also would definitely consider their event space for a bridal shower or birthday luncheon. It’s in a great location of downtown, and I can’t wait to go there again.
I took my best friend here for his birthday and we absolutely loved it! The food, experience, and wait staff were incredible!
Due to COVID-19 they were only serving their Chef's Tasting Menu. Not at all what I was expecting upon entering. However, everything was exciting and different. As soon as each course came to the table, I was astonished by how unique everything looked and tasted.
Best brunch I have had in years and maybe ever. The server recommended a substitution of mushrooms for carnitas and it was *amazing.* Fabulous wine selection. My husband had the steak and eggs and liked it a lot. We will def be going back. Wonderful experience COVID or no COVID. Very cool place!
Delicious meal, great food and the perfect size portions!
One of the best restaurants and breweries in Columbus. Fantastic service, incredible food, great cocktails and beers, excellent design, great space, very thoughtful, attentive, nice people. What's not to love about this place?
I was very impressed with their efforts to maintain safe social distancing during our dining experience. Friendly staff, and very well thought out restructuring of their seating areas. Food and drinks were fantastic, as usual. Great job, Wolf’s Ridge, wish more restaurants approached reopening during COVID like you did!
We were very disappointed when we arrived and were given only two options for dining, a $40 per person or $50 per person. When I had visited the Facebook page, I apparently misread that the menu they had posted a day prior was only for the taproom on the other side of the wall. Neither my husband or I would have ever imagined a brewery having a $40-$50 per person menu option as their only dining options at the time. Those are certainly prices we’ve paid before but only at fine dining restaurants so we were caught off guard. We did have three drinks because we felt guilty and explained to our server why we would not be dining there. To our surprise, she said that this happens all the time. That is just unacceptable and seems either like poor marketing of the expectations of the restaurant versus the taproom or just poor management. We felt even worst for her. We would have loved to dine there if there had been other feasible options for us. :(
My favorite place in Columbus. Literally never disappoints.
Wolfs Ridge has put a truly thoughtful and comprehensive plan in place to minimize risk during the pandemic. Add in that somehow their returning menu exceeds the already impressive quality this team has always put forward and we were reminded why this is one of our top restaurants in Columbus! Thank you Wolfs Ridge team!
Tasting menu; fine dinning
We were seated on time and the staff didn’t miss a beat! Very good safety measures are in place. The food At brunch couldn’t have been better. We’d eaten in the taproom before but never the main restaurant. We now plan to have my birthday dinner there! Great experience.
We had been here for dinner, but heard such outstanding reviews of Sunday brunch, we decided to give it a try. Wolf’s Ridge definitely lived up to all of the hype. We went as a party of ten, and everyone was impressed. The egg on one order of ‘Toad in the Hole’ was over done, but very quickly replaced with a new plate cooked to perfection. Great cocktails too!
Love this place! I didn't remember that they did small plates, but love that set up. We were able to try 3 different dishes plus dessert and all it was incredibly good! Highly recommend for date night or special occasions.
Fantastic small plate fare. Great service and wonderful location.
Amazing food and service
Great food and service. Difficult to hear conversation at the other end of our table. But appreciate availability of seating for larger groups. And love the living wall.
The food was fresh, unique, and very delicious, the service was fantastic. Overall a wonderful experience.
Food, atmosphere all amazing. Accommodated kids while maintaining a fine dining experience. Not pretentious at all but amazing quality food in a neat environment.
I took my foodie boyfriend here for his birthday and he loved it! Great menu for foodies and amazing food!
Outstanding food! Good beer selection and the overall experience was great.. This is our second time there. Would highly recommend.
The food was excellent. We really enjoy the small plates and getting to taste and share multiple dishes. Our services was also very good, even when they got busy. We'll definitely go back.
