   Excellent food, great service, overall fantastic place. I've been taking clients out to restaurants thorughout NYC for over 20 years. Steakhouses are the typical default. I've been to most over the years, but this was the first visit to a Wolfgang steakhouse. This was FANTASTIC! Steak was perfectly aged and perfectly cooked. Appetizers were great. Sides were great. I skipped dessert, but others at the table pretty much cleaned their plates. Highly recommend.

   I don’t usually leave reviews but just a warning on two things. DO NOT order the wedge salad or the tomato and onion salad. They charged over $20 for each, neither was dressed at all and the latter literally was 2 tomato slices with a slice of onion in the middle….that’s it. No dressing, not even salt and pepper. That salad was the ultimate f$&? you to customers and a pathetic excuse for a dish. The other comment is on the wine list. Obviously it’s a steak house, so the expectations are low to begin with and you expect a 3x mark up at this point for corporate steakhouses but there was a lot of 4x pricing as well. Tough to swallow. Service was excellent and the steak was very well prepared.

   Not sure why I'm only giving 4 stars as the food and service were great. Steak was delicious and cooked perfectly as were the sautéed onions we had on the side. I just thought it was a little too pricey. Ideally i would give the restaurant 4 1/2 to 4 3/4 stars but thats not an option. And probably as far as Manhattan steakhouses go the price would be around average. Dinner for 2 with drinks but no dessert $200 plus. So if price is not an issue you will get a great meal.

    This is a great restaurant for a nice meal or date night. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This is a regular stop for me when I'm in NYC.

    Our meal was exceptional! It is very expensive. Plan on spending like you would for a special celebration. Not only was everything perfectly prepared, the portions are exceptionally large (which is why I couldn’t give less than 5 stars for value). I’ve tried sea bass in every state I’ve been to and this one was in the top two. Our table also has a filet and the yellowfin. All were wonderful! I made a same day reservation and we were seated immediately on arrival.

    We stumbled upon Wolfgangs Steakhouse while walking around new york city. The steaks are phenomenal.We had the porter house for 3 german potatoes creme spinach and the lobster mac n cheese. For dessert we had pecan pie key lime pie and raspberry sorbet! Service was outstanding Thank You Salko

    Our waiter wasn't the best. He was very dry-didn't talk about the specials, didn't suggest anything. He also didn't ask if it was a special occasion which was disheartening because my husband and I were celebrating my birthday. With the assistance of other waiters, he did bring us our food. Comparted to the location in Hawaii, this location definitely missed the mark with the customer service.

    My wife and I ordered the Filet Mignon. I like it medium rare and she is a medium well. Both were cooked perfectly. The accompanying peppercorn sauce was delicious. Both steaks were very generous in size.

    The food was wonderful. We ordered the filet mignon and were surprised that each filet was 12-14oz. Lobster Mac and cheese was amazing and sides are meant to serve 2 people. We finished with apple strudel with homemade whipped cream

    We chose to celebrate my mom's birthday here for a mid-week celebration. Pros: - the steak was phenomenally cooked - desserts were insanely good! - I noted on my opentable reservation it was my mom's birthday, and they sang to/recognized her without anyone in my party saying anything. I was truly impressed! Cons: - bread wasn't fresh and butter was ice cold - for a high-end restaurant, I was hoping for some delicious warm bread and spreadable butter - no kids menu. This was mostly on me for not realizing there was no offering before we selected. There's no "mid" size option for steak, so my 11 year old's plate ended up costing nearly $70 - the prices are very expensive, and while you get large cuts of meat, that's not evident from the menu. Had we known the portion sizes, we would have done more splitting. We had *so much* meat to take home In the future, I might recommend this place for a really lovely and special date night, not a family meal. The experience was not worth the price and failed to deliver on an upscale dining experience, had it been a little more reasonable I would definitely recommend.

    Wolfgang’s is an old school steak place. The food is very good and the service is professional. Overall it does not stand out among the over-saturated high end steak houses. Part of it is that I’m bored of these places in general and clearly steak places are very popular. I personally liked Wolfgangs but there are just too many of these places today and this is just another solid choice if you like steaks. It is loud and a bit cramped if you are looking for a more intimate setting. The german potatoes was a good side choice if you want something a little different.

    The staff was very professional. Their wine list was extensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our gathering their. The only thing I though that was missing was after the main course, I was expecting the servers to come and use a special tool to collect the bread crumbs before offering us the dessert menu. I was under the impression that step is only offered in high-end restaurants like this one. May be it was because the place was packed and very busy that night.
