   We had never been here before. Party three and made a reservation through this app. When we got there a hostess stated that we did not have a reservation. I showed her my confirmation and she still went on it and said we would not get points. I immediately message the restaurant through the app and still waiting on a response. We were seated, and the ambience was very nice. We were graded by our waitress shortly and provided with water. We had seen the advertisement for the twilight special for $29 which included salad, wine or beer and entree. The waitress seem to not even know what we were talking about and had to go on the back and ask. After about 15 minutes, she arrived and provided us with the information about the special and it was nothing like the advertisement stated. It was half a salad, wine or beer and half entrée. There was a list of the entrées they would allow such as spaghetti and meatballs two of us ordered the twilight special, the other spicy lettuce wraps. Spicy lettuce wraps were not what I expected. It was fried chicken pieces with some sort of crispy chip in butter lettuce leaves which were too small and there was no spice at all. They totally fell apart. Or lettuce wraps you need something stronger like Romaine lettuce.  I was actually surprised it was not better. One of my friends had the meatloaf and said it was good and the other one had the spaghetti and meatballs and said the meatballs were awful.

   It was just OK. The food was nothing special. We commented to each other that service seemed a bit slow. Table rocked so we asked to have that corrected. No bread - I guess that’s extra - dunno. Could not hear very well but I am old - noisy place - not intimate. The meatloaf was interesting - came with giant onion rings and mashed potatoes. I could taste all the other things the kitchen cooked in the fryer so not very tasty. Expected more for the price paid for the meals. Will not be going back as there are too many other places to eat around here.

   The ambiance was good, onion rings great; salt & pepper impossible to come by; schnitzel better than anticipated; burger not exactly warm; lava cake delicious; price on the beer not as advertised on the menu; server pleasant but somewhat absent.

   Today for Mother’s Day I took my mom and her friend to Wolfgang Puck restaurant in the Brownwood Hotel and Spa. We went for brunch and loved it. Our waiter William was accommodating, attentive and answered the many question’s I had. I didn’t take pics of the food but we had French onion soup, Corn chowder, Mezze, spinach crab quiche, shrimp and grits, and prime scramble. Everything was delicious. Only rave reviews about the food. We will definitely return.

   Kitchen was very slow with food. Three meals were not hot because we were waiting for two meatloafs. Food was just ok.

    The lady on the door didn’t greet us in what could be described as friendly in any way which was quite a surprise. She looked miserable and barely mouthed the word ‘enjoy’ after plonking down the menus. Our waitress was very nice and the food good but very disappointing that the Mother’s Day weekend menu wasn’t online and the choices weren’t what we expected. When you have a ‘special menu’ you should make this known, not have it be a surprise. Expensive lunch I must say. Too expensive.
