food was least to be desired: cherry tomatoes in salad were wrinkly,old and split open; mixed drink was mixed incorrectly, fish and chips tasted as if fish was cooked in old oil; pasta in mac and cheese was hard and tasted reheated; when I said I had reservations I was told I didn't; was put at a table with the head of a large moose hanging over us; cutlery did not appear to be clean/dried properly... was covered with what appeared to be water stains?? unfortunately our party of 4 have decided not to return.

We weren't crazy about the current menu because of limited variety. The chicken wings were very good. The grilled cheese sandwich was ok but nothing special; same for the BLT Our server, Kim was very pleasant

Definitely still working the kinks out. However the staff was super friendly and the food was very good. Waited quite awhile for the check. Had to ask for silverware. Will certainly try again. Team is working very hard and it was busy.

While the service was friendly and attentive, the menu was quite limited. I ordered a simple hamburger and Caeser salad. While the hamburger was OK, the salad lettuce was brown and completely inedible.

Service was terrible forgot our salad and didn’t substitute onion rings. Calamari was under cooked had to send it back. The Mac and cheese was not very good. The one upside was the French onion soup.

I've been to the Wolfe Tavern many times and this year the experience was not as good this year. The food was average and the service was just OK. Even the inn was a big run down............... I felt bad, but won't be returning anytime soon

Although my burger was yummy everything else was mediocre. My martini tasted funny and one of our water (out of 4 glasses had pink water on it). The menus were dirty and I never really understand why some restaurants like this one make season menus and doesn’t change them. Spring menus in the summer? We won’t be going back.

With all the other wonderful places to eat in Wolfeboro, Wolfes Tavern doesn’t hold up anymore. Very sad, We have been eating here since the early 90’s but I’ll leave it off our itinerary for future visits.

Music inside was loud. Outside on deck was great with beautiful weather. Service was C slow and with no communication between waitstaff. Asjed for silverware. Couple next to us waited an hour for meal. Another couple received wrong bill. Food was bland. Fries were soggy. Place was empty in Friday night of Memorial Day weekend. Not going back. Hsed to be much better.

Waitress Jamie excellent & server too. Cheese & cracker appetizer great! Valentine Entree of filet minion vs. chicken imbalanced choices; ex. of balanced choice would be steak or Salmon. Chicken with too much thick sauce around poultry with no side vegetables with entrees. Caesar salad creative but just a stalk of lettuce with grated cheese over it. Desserts just okay, very small portions with too much cream. Way over priced for food selection served. Won’t participate in Valentines special again. However, great atmosphere & very nice staff.

Service was slow but polite. The meal was tasty but the portions were very small. We had steak tips and both wondered if they split a portion in two to serve us. Full price, half a portion. There are other spots in Wolfeboro, try them!!

So sad the restaurant has gone downhill so much over the years. The food was not good at all - steak tips were tiny fatty nubs and burgers were either mushy or completely over cooked. I used to love the asparagus fries but the sauce changed and isn’t good and the asparagus was super stingy and tough to chew. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be going back. Used to be our go to place every time we went to Wolfeboro

Our experience was just fine. I have been to the Tavern many times and I just love it there. However, this time I was very disappointed because the dinner menu was very very limited. There really wasn’t much to choose from as an entree. Now I must say that the food we did order was very good.

The food and service were excellent. Unfortunately, the main dining area was closed so we were seated at a very tiny table near the bar. The noise level from the bar made the dinner less than the quiet, reserved meal we originally anticipated. Still, we would return the next time we are in the area.

We loved dining at Wolfe's Tavern last summer (2021) and ate there several times. We had a very different experience last night (was told they are under new management). Service was so slow (we were there for over 2 hours), menu is a lot more limited, the food quality was not as good as previous visits (and not worth the cost- $8 for small rolls and butter). My daughter couldn't eat her pasta with marinara (the adults also tried it and it was inedible, the sauce was sour- almost like it had gone bad). You could tell they were very short staffed, so we did feel for the staff but the food didn't make up for the wait. Would wait a bit before returning, hopefully new management can get things back to how there were last year).

While this is a historic tavern and the charm is great, the food always fails to impress. Stick with a simple burger- the onion rings are fantastic. The service makes up for so much here. Our server was attentive and very charming.

The Wolfe's Tavern was a really great place to eat. Our server Tom was exceptional!! The menu is great, and about 90% of it is gluten-free, which for us was a very good thing. We'll definitely be going back there.

Food was nothing special, service was good at beginning and then went downhill. We watched three tables walk out after never even being acknowledged. Wine menu was extremely upsetting, cheap grocery store wine options.
