We were at WOTF last weekend. It was amazingly crowded for a Sunday night. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this restaurant for foodies. The menu includes a number of platters for two people and they appeared quite substantial. I found the restaurant to be quite noisy, although I am certain that could be attributed to the large crowd. I did find the tables to be placed too close together. I do not enjoy hearing conversations on either side of me while I am trying to have a special dinner. I do believe that this is a great place for groups, however, I would not recommend it for a romantic dinner.

We had read so much about this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we stepped in we felt welcomed, to our server, who was overall excellent - explaining the menu, the restaurant and answering our questions - and providing us with perfect wine selections. Next came the excellent food presentation which of course led to an extraordinary culinary delight - the food prepared wonderfully which exceeded any expectations we may of had - fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Throughout our meal we were well cared for by our server, unobtrusively, which shows a professionalism not often seen in many restaurants these days. Amusing was when the "six pack for the kitchen" that we sent, was well received as we heard the clang coming out of the kitchen. Already, we are recommending the Wolf In The Fog to our friends, really anyone who we bump into. We enjoyed it so much that an encore visit is happening over New Year's and we are looking forward to another exquisite experience!

Our choice of dining in Tofino was, for the most part, driven by the article presented by the Globe and Mail, highlighting the chef's culinary skills and award . The chef's skills with the preparation of the meal reached far beyond expectations. Careful preparation and attention to detail brought to the table by a well schooled and informed server added the extra value. A broad selection of meal choices and wines were available to patrons, suggesting satisfaction for every palate. A complete meal and a reasonable price. A great dining experience, taking advantage of seasonal seafood and many other creations that can be shared by all. Outstanding..........................we'll be back and you can count on it.

My partner and I had an early dinner at Wolf in the Fog as part of our romantic getaway in Tofino. We loved the casual, dimly lit romantic atmosphere and decor. Suited the pacific northwest Tofino vibe perfectly. We arrived and were seated immediately. We decided to order a couple applies which were the croquette and the morroccan octopus. I was surprised that I enjoyed the octopus as much as I did. It was the highlight of the meal for me in fact. The croquette was good as well, but I probably wouldn't order it again. We decided on a shared Scallop and Mussel dish for our main. This dish was mostly mussels, broth and bread. We got 4 scallops. I would have preferred more scallops for the price, but the taste was unbelievable and we were not unhappy eating it. Along with our meal we had drinks. I ordered the Cedar infused Rye and it was absolutely delicious. WE also tried the Drama in the High Seas which if It had been my drink, I probably couldn't have finished it. It was too strong, and had little mix. It burned my mouth. We also had the Angler, which was decent and interesting. For $12 a drink though, it added up.By the end of the meal we were stuffed, however for some reason dessert was ordered and we had no problem demolishing the beautiful white chocolate brûlée that was placed in front of us. All in all, the service was amazing, I enjoyed our servers personality. The meal was delicious, maybe over priced for what we received, but we definitely would go again.

"Wolf in the Fog" continues to be one of my favourite restaurants on the planet. I have "5" more reservations coming up over the next 6 weeks! Baguettes are a staple at our house, picked up at the "den." No meal is complete without "Bread and Spread." The "Bamfield Seaweed Salad" is my partner's all time favourite small plate, and the "Moroccan Spiced Octopus" and "Charred Humboldt Squid," are not to be missed. We love the "Spanish Bombshell" share plate, which is extra special when served on my grandmother's dishes. I love all the mismatched crockery! Nick and his team are amazing, and are always happy to fine-tune plates, based on special needs. It's always nice to ending the dining experience with a "Six Pack for the Kitchen!" Do "not" miss "Wolf in the Fog" when you are visiting Tofino!
