Great food and service!
Server was very attentive!
i went there with my friend. we were very satisfied. we absolutly go again.
We love barachirashi which they only serve for lunch. Fish is very fresh and looks amazing, tastes just as good as it looks.
Went for happy hour and it was a great value. Had 3 glasses of wine @7 dollars each and a dizen delicious oysters. The tuna tartare was out of this world and we reordered it. The other dishes were excellent too. Wish there was more ventilation against covid but building controls thermostat. Will definitely be back but not too comfortable eating indoors there until vaccine.
Very quite place with really good food and great service.
Beef over rice and seafood nabe are truly recommended.
Amazing food and great service.
They did t have a lot of things that they have in menu. That’s sad because we particularly came for that specific food.
Always Good I’ve been there 20 times love it
Good food and atmosphere, with attentive and friendly service.
We went for lunch and loved it. High ceiling made us feel safe in addition to spaced out seating. Food is always good and price is generous.
I had a very good time. I will come again.Thank you.
Food is authentic and outstanding. Service is attentive, polite and just plain nice. Setting is clean and modern. That and great value have me coming here all the time!
Wokuni has returned! My friends and I have been longing for our favorite Japanese restaurant with the amazing luncheon sets and great dinners in a sleek, modern setting. The food is as outstanding as ever. Impeccably clean with proper distancing makes for a safe setting
Today is Kaiden don wad great.
fresh sashimi is good rice is tasty and very nice service
They have great lunch menu and indoor dining was very specious with high ceiling. Bara sushi was delicious.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I forgot that I have been there before and I have to tell you it’s bad all around.
Great food drink and atmosphere. Love Japanese. Great Lunch and Happy Hour Oyster.
I dined at Wokuni for the first time last night. It was a wonderful experience. They have an extensive dinner menu. I wanted to try everything. I ordered a sushi omakase. Every piece of sushi was unique and delicious. Good service and ambience.
Wrong orders twice a day!! Too enough as it must be not a cheap restaurant.
The oysters were terrific but other dishes were not as good as pre-pandemic meals I enjoyed there.
Probably one of the best Japanese restaurant in Manhattan.
We took the $95 menu and it was awesome!
Definitely worth it, plus, the price is completely fair for the quality and the quantity!
The portion of lunch could be bigger or could offer a large portion option.
Excellent Food. Friendly staff.
Food was excellent except for the rice I ordered on the side, which was a very poor quality as compared to the rest
Wokuni was awesome. Every dish we had was super fresh. Oysters, sashimi, and eventually sushi were all fantastic. We got dumplings as well which weren’t too heavy and were fried nicely. It was also fun to watch the chef prepare our food at the open sushi counter from afar. Great service as well. We will come back to try the Omakase at some point for sure.
The food is delicious and perfect proportion. I cleared the plates. Ichiban!
I loved the ambiance, the service, and especially the food. 10/10 would go again and be recommending to all of my friends
Absolutely amazing and authentic Japanese food. It is very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The sashimi is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. Went here with some family that was visiting and we all loved it.
First dine-out in many months. Food is as excellent as before. Sufficient measures to cope with COVID-19. Give me confidence to go again.
With covid, sat outside, so ambiance isn't what it normally is.
Food is always delicious, the place is delightful. A bit pricy, but you get what you pay for in some sense, especially with the fish / sushi, Yum.
I tend to go for business meals, when expensing. Definitely will visit again.
The Signature Omakase was presented beautifully and was delicious. The service was impeccable. And it was a very good value considering what was included. Thank you!!
I tried their Omakase menu. Totally worth the value and the service is great. The waiter was nice and explained the way to enjoy every dish when he brought it to the table. Love the experience. Also have a one-dollar oyster deal during happy hour.
That was a great experience to enjoy Uokuni. Food is great and service is exellent. Love to come back soon.
いつも丁寧な接客で子連れには大変ありがたいです!
We had an early lunch reservation. When the tables are filled and customers talk loud it may not be noticeable, but the music they were blasting in empty restaurant was irritating. Not everyone likes Japanese pop vocal songs. They didn’t go with decor, and too destructing.
Food was just OK. Although ingredients were fresh, proportionally too much of oily fish sashimi made my mouth very fishy in the end...
ハッピーアワーのオイスターは最高ですね!
Ambiance was better then the food.
The quality of fish that Wokuni provides is not fresh. My boyfriend and I are from out of town, and we wanted to try a new sushi restaurant. We saw the great reviews, and we decided why not as it was our birthday dinner. We ordered the tuna tartare, and it included raw tuna chunks, chopped avocado with very light ponzu sauce. Unlike many sushi restaurants, it did not have a quail egg on top or any sesame oil. The quality and freshness of the fish was terrible. The fish had a odd smell and the cuts were not clean and precise. When you take a bite, the chunks were connected by tissue which made it extremely hard to chew. We also ordered 2 spicy tuna rolls, and the tuna was not fresh in those rolls either. The fishy smell was still strong. However, we ordered 2 shrimp tempura rolls and the tempura was hot, but there was only cucumber and avocado on the inside with a dollup of mayo on the top of each roll. There are also only 6 rolls in each order. Our most expensive dish was the miso cod; it was $30. It included a cherry tomato garnish...Not worth the money.
If you want high quality sushi, there are many other places in Manhattan to go, and you'll get your money's worth. I do not recommend choose Wokuni for sushi.
