Great fish top Quality!
Our server Takase was awesome, attentive service, know the menu throughout and very knowledgeable in beverage as well.
Great Happy Hour Deal with Quality Fresh Sashimi, Attentive Service Staff.
Great experience of Omakase
Food is excellent: this would be ranked as a quality fish izakaya even if it were in Japan. Well attended by trained staff: they know what they serve, and can explain where the fish was caught and how they are to be cooked. Management perfect.
This is a beautiful restaurant with AMAZING sushi. Really fresh, lovely atmosphere. We were happy we made reservations - it's busy. I will be returning!
I have been a few times but the food seems to be on a decline. What started off as an amazing restaurant with fresh fish, the quality has gone down recently. Very disappointed with the omakase sashimi on my last visit.
Incredible value for the quality and location. There should be a line around the block for this place.
Very good food....especially the daily specials and the seaweed salad. The service this visit was just okay as the restaurant was very busy. A good value given the freshness and quality of the fish that is served.
Service is superb! The waitstaff was very attentive and helpful in describing and recommending menu items. I especially loved the grilled black cod, so delicate and sweet with the special miso sauce. The sashimi bowl was beautifully presented and the fish was very fresh and tasty. The cold sake was overfilled in a box so I got to enjoy a rimmed fill glass and more. This is definitely my new favorite restaurant in the city and I can’t wait to return real soon!
Service was terrific the tables are very close together and there was a very loud talking couple next to us that made it difficult to have a conversation. We requested a booth but were told we couldn’t have one. It was being held for two women drinking at the bar. The other booths that were open were for parties of four and not for us. So while we do want to go back the seating is a problem.
Good Japanese food in midtown. Small but very good ambience. Great for a date or special occasion if you are in the neighborhood.
I had lunch here before, which was very good.
Come back again with friends for dinner. Food is good, but not coming at the same time...
Arigato set was well with it. Hot fried chicken was delicious. The edamame was room temperature, I wish it was hot. And the dry sake was perfect for beginners:
Took my dad for Father’s Day.
Love the service, the food, the sake... the music was a little too “club” for my taste (maybe in my 20s I would have liked it more... but alas I’m more mature and my taste has elevated). I feel that the quality of the food, service, and sake selection is top notch.
I will most certainly come back.
Overall I was very happy with the experience. Nice open space and roomy as well. The sushi/sashimi were very fresh.. only comment I have is that the black cod entree was $30 but the portion was tiny..
Basically I’d gladly go again but def staying away from the cod!
The food was decent and ambiance was nice.
Great service. The food was beyond my expectation. The Omakase menu was well balanced and a great mix of different kind of Japanese dishes. Best cheesecake I have ever had.
We had an excellent time at Wokuni for a birthday dinner. The service was prompt and our server checked on us consistently but not too often that we felt crowded. We went later in the evening so the noise level was very low which was nice because we were able to carry out a conversation at a comfortable level. The ambiance in the restaurant was lovely with low lighting and the booth seating felt semi private because of the dividers in between each section.
The food was very good, we had a combination of several types of rolls, sashimi, and oysters. They even brought out ice cream free of charge for my boyfriends birthday. Good spot for evening dining or a quiet night with a nice meal.
Excellent -has become my go-to in Mid-town. Only complaint I would have is the Front-Desk lady somes off as a little rude. I totally understand the place is busy - but to tell us (each guest) that there is a 2-hour limit on the table was a bit much!. It makes me think twice about bringing friends in for dinner.
Very good value for the authentic Japanese dishes.
Children’s menu was not an ordinary “put things kids like” dish. Every food was an adult level or more and with a hidden surprise. All within 10 dollars. This is a real Japanese authentic restaurant.
Fantastic Japanese restaurant with a real mix of dishes available. We had the tasting menu which was superb and a real spectacle with dry ice with the sashimi. Good quality, relaxed atmosphere.
Every bite of the premium omakase ended with a “oh my god” as the flavors blew our minds. 2.5 hours blew by with incredible service. Thank you for making my brother’s birthday dinner so special!
I ordered black tea. It was “ Trader Joe’s” tea. I wasn’t expected that in the fancy restaurant.
Takashi was a delightful server
Thank you for making it a fun evening for us
The waiter really took the time for us and told us interesting things about the different plates we were having. The food was really good.
Get the buri carpaccio!! Yellowtail in a slightly spicy jalapeño sauce - the best dish of the night.
Beautifully decorated Japanese tapas restaurant. Food was delicious and enjoyed everything we ordered. Skip the oysters we have had better at a lower price point.
Best sushi experience ever! If you are a sushi lover this is the place to go. Definitely recommend it! P
This is my favorite restaurant, I'm never disappointed.
Materia prima de primera y un cuidado exquisito en su preparación
Incredible service and equally incredible food. We had the premium omakase (our first time) and it was awesome. We scanned the restaurant to just get an idea of what other people were ordering (for our next visits) and noted that most customers were also ordering omakase! It was great and would definitely recommend highly to people!
Perfect Japanese Donburi !
Our server doesn't know how to speak 'Polite' English....
Great Izakaya, service was great, go, we’ll go again and again!
Good food and service.
Very good food ? And also the ambiance. The salmon is unique
