Wok n Fire - Burr Ridge Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed our Saturday night dinner at Wok n Fire. The special Chicken Wing appetizer was a much larger portion than we expected. Salad and Mahi Mahi was decent as well. When I pointed out that the Mahi Mahi was supposed to come with Chinese broccoli the waitress promptly returned with both Chinese broccoli and regular broccoli. The Chinese broccoli was delicious so I had to bring home the regular broccoli for later. We don't often eat at Wok n Fire but I must say it needs to be on our regular list.
My family had a great meal together. The Las Vegas Roll, Tequila Roll, Mexican Roll and the other rolls we had were wonderful. My parents enjoyed the Thai Shrimp curry with brown rice and the ginger chicken entrees. Service was outstanding and all of our fun martinis were tasty and reasonably priced.
We ordered Thai sticky wings as an app. Delicious, meaty wings served with a fresh slaw salad. Five spice ribs were outstanding for our entree. A huge, delicious portion of ribs served with fried rice , fresh slaw salad and fried onions. Yum!!! Enough for 2 meals!!!
Group of six met to renew old friendships and enjoy each other's company. All enjoyed their entrees: Sea Bass Salmon Governors Plate Chicken . Tried both offerings of egg roll appetizers and unfortunately were edible; however, would not order again.
The food (Asian) is always good here with many options. We like sushi but also they have nice Asian appetizers and main courses. Have never had a bad meal, its very consistent. The bar is nice with lots of glass color changes and 3 big TVs. Sapporo Beer on tap! Have visited many times and will be coming back again.
We come at least 1 a month and use the Groupon deal, which is great! Normally service and food is outstanding, but not on this visit.
Waited at least 10 minutes before a server came to our table. I had to get the host to tell the server she had a table. As the meal went on, service was great.
Food items we chose we have had numerous times and are aware that they are spicy, however this time the Chef had a VERY heavy hand with the chili paste. You would think items that are spicy and customers are aware of this, expect the items to be consistent each time they are ordered. Unless, a specification is expressed.
We ordered seven different things from sushi to noodle dishes and most were generally poor quality if not completely unappetizing. Not to mention how overpriced it was for sub-quality food. It crosses the line when most of the food ends up in a napkin. I would not recommend and will not be back.
