   I understand the Wiveton Bell is now under new ownership/management. The standard of service is erratic, and the quality of food is very poor and overpriced. The pub is advertised as 'relaxed pub serves high quality, but unpretentious long lunches, sumptuous suppers... ' which is certainly not the case. On the Friday evening we dined at the pub there was a live band in bar/restaurant area. Whereby this may work in other venues/pubs, it does not work in this location. When we were asked by the person waiting table how everything was, our comment regarding the music was 'each to his own'. And it certainly wasn't a sumptuous supper/dinner. I would not recommend the Wiveton Bell to a friend or other potential customers. To be a 'go to' pub, which it had been in the past, both service and quality of food will need to improve dramatically. I have subsequently noted very poor reviews re the Wiveton Bell which date back some 5 months or more, since the new ownership. It appears negative comments from other people who have dined there have not be taken on board. Let's hope things change and improve as is was a lovely pub prior to this change in ownership.

   We were first given a table right next to the bar which we thought may have been a bit busy so requested a change. We were given a different table which was fine. The only other comment I would like to make was that we were both absolutely astonished that when vinegar was requested for my husband's chips, he was given a plastic sachet! The food was very good but surely a bottle of vinegar would have been more appropriate? It just didn't seem right. Food and service and atmosphere were all good.

   When I booked, I had requested a table in the bar so was a little disappointed it was in the conservatory but it was fine. Food was very good as was the service. Overall we were very pleased. Thankyou.

   We dine out regularly and have dined at Wiverton Bell many times over the years. This time we were very disappointed with a limited menu and the food not up to standard. A very basic burger and what appeared to be a brought in mass produced cheesecake for dessert. For the money charged, I expect much more.

   Until we moved away, we were regulars. We make a pilgrimage to the bell every year & every time is special. The food, the service is outstanding & the chips have been My wife’s no1 for 11 years in a row!

   The previous week we had a delicious lamb meal On Tuesday we had the vegan sharing platter which was good. However the main, seabass with pasta was very disappointing and only just warm. Although the fish was good the pasta was bland and other than two small pieces of tomato that was all there was. It was certainly expensive for what it was. The pub was very busy and noisy though this was a result of its popularity but it did mean the service was slow.

   Beautiful rump of lamb for main course. Obviously a pub with a reputation for food. Very busy!

   Busy, friendly and buzzing on a Saturday evening. Food was good but not mind blowing. Staff were friendly. Thank you for a lovely evening with my family.
