Food did not taste good. Service was poor.
My friends and I enjoyed a New Years Eve dinner here the other night. The ambiance is awesome. They have a ton of games and puzzles scattered in the restaurant and on the walls that really helps spark conversation. The food is pretty tastey too! Kind of like elevated bar food. Inventive and creative cocktails as well. I would definitely recommend for a casual, laid-back, fun dinner.
Worst meal I have had in many years. Went for brunch. All the food was cold and came out too quickly, so was not made to order. The hollandaise was much too thick, not a pourable consistency but rather looked like it had come out of a squeeze top bottle. Orange juice which was supposed to be fresh squeezed, was a strange neon color and tasted bitter. The french toast was a loaf of bread, served whole, not slice, and therefore the egg mixture only permeated the bottom 1/8 of the bread. Cost was also expensive for the portion size. Bennies come 2 per order, but do not come with any sides. Coffee was the only thing I enjoyed.
Didn’t feel well after eating ahi tacos.
SUCH a fun spot! The vibe is lively, every table has games, and the menu is hysterical. Highly recommend!
We drove over an hour to try this place as the menu looked awesome and quirky. The restaurant was cold (we had to ask to be moved) and the music was so loud we could barely talk. We wouldn't have minded except some of the music was almost thrash metal. I'm not sure where they get their music from but maybe we're just not the right fit for the clientele they want to attract.
The food was ok, but based on the menu I expected more "flair". Most of the food seemed to precooked and reheated. I mean seriously, how long does it take to cook three small lamb meatballs... just cook them fresh; your customers will appreciate it. I know what precooked/reheated meat tastes like and it was just a tad disappointing (hot on the outside, cold in the middle). Flavors were nice though. The chicken and waffles were a hit though as was the buffalo cauliflower! We weren't horrified, and I think a few tweaks and this place could be amazing.
Love this place! Went here on a Tuesday for dinner with a friend. I ordered a flight and appetizers to share. Food was pretty good and the service was excellent (it helped that we were one of three tables that night). Definitely want to go back on a weekend for beer and board games!
Cool decor, interesting brunch options, but service is soooooo slow that it felt like we wasted too much time.
Food was mediocre bar style food. Bartender came over with one of our drinks to do some 'pyrotechnics' before serving it at our table. He accidentally lit the straw on fire, burned himself while trying to grab it out of the drink. He then snapped at us when we asked if he was okay saying "does it look like I'm okay". Roasted cauliflower dish came with a few pieces of roasted bread in place of the cauliflower. Asked the server and he said "Oh that's weird. What do you want me to do about it?" He did take it off our bill but didn't address why it happened.
I really enjoyed the ambiance in Wit's End. I love the clever menu. the food and drinks are great and I will definitely be back with more people!
I like Wits End and have brought a date there a couple of times. Food is pretty tasty, well presented and not too expensive. The atmosphere is intelligent and fun. GREAT drinks.
Nice service that is earnest and friendly.
The seats by the window are excellent.
I don’t usually order m&c at restaurants because it’s usually nothing special, but this Gouda Will Hunting may just be ::gasp:: one of the best mac and cheeses I’ve had. I’m also in love with their menu that comprises all movie puns and drinks named after celebrities. AND you get to play games at the table 🎲
Food was just okay, steak frites was very greasy and the marinade was very salty. The service was excellent and the place has a nice vibe. I’d give a second shot at some point.
Met up with an old friend. Everything was top notch, from food to staff!
My only regret is that I didn't discover this place sooner. The menu alone is so entertaining, we struggled to talk about anything else for the first twenty minutes. The beer list is great, the cocktails are expertly made, the decor is clever and fun, the food delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff is so chill (in a genuinely friendly way and not too-cool). I can't wait to go back again.
It was great loved the environment very fun place, brunch was good. I want to go back from they’re dinner menu
The food was SO. GOOD. Great place with a quirky style. Absolutely loved it!
Awful. Didn't have a table ready for 30 minutes after my reservation time. Had to stand in middle of dining room, luggage in tow, and wait. Couldn't make that up. Service took another 15 minutes to even come to table for our order. My chicken and waffle dish was small but would have been edible if the waffles were not seriously burned. My guest got sliders...two sliders that were microscopic. My cocktail was undrinkable as there was so much sour mix in it. All in all just terrible. Would never go back.
Amazing ambiance. Loved the games. Service was outstanding and the food was amazing and very reasonably priced! Would come back
Staff was amazing and food was delicious. They didn’t have milk or apple juice for our daughter so the manager went across the street and bought some of both.
Food was great! Waiter was so nice and the games were a great add on to an overall great experience. Also those giant Moscow mules <3
absolutely LOVED the games, very poor service and food was only alright. Kitchen staff touched our food without gloves and half our order was forgotten. Only a few people there and food took over 30 minutes.
Food was not great and expensive, service and trivia night made up for it. Also, you should get fireball at your bar.
My favorite place since it opened. Great atmosphere, great food, great cocktails! I love the Trivia night on Mondays.
We were here on July 4 and they seemed to be understaffed. Servers were very pleasant, but service very slow. Menu sounded interesting, but the food was nothing special. With so many places to choose from in the area, we won't rush back.
We celebrated my son’s birthday and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Delicious, creative food. Thoughtful staff and all around fun atmosphere.
Amazing, a lot of fun. Wonderful food , extremely nice staff. Board games and trivia too. Extensive scotch and whisky list, well thought out beer selection. I.e. go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent food, and we loved the brain teasers on the wall and the games at each of the tables. We had two servers, both of whom got a little confused about our order. Overall a great restaurant, and we will be going back again!
Everything was beyond awesome!
Been here for brunch and it was wonderful! Today we came in to drink early on a Sunday and the cocktails are OUTSTANDING! We don't have the tolerance to try all of them, so we will be back to mark them off until we have them all. Oh, and the brisket taco was better than we could have ever expected. One criticism...the music could have been turned up.
Lobster and duck confirm benes were very good. The corned beef has was excellent. Bloody Mary's very good too with fresh tomato juice but could have been spicier.
The food was good but the portions too small, especially regarding burgers. Service was slow and inefficient although the waiters were friendly. I liked the fact you can play board games in this bar and that it's quiet enough to have a conversation.
Fun place. We loved the atmosphere, the cocktails and the bartenders. We will be back with friends.
I came here for the first time since it switched over from hops and scotch. The whole place had the windows removed for a beautiful and and it felt like we were outside. The Moscow Mule menu was out of this world and the food was surprisingly (for a bar) amazing and creative. I hope to be back soon.
Amazing food! The chef was out and talking to many tables. Great atmosphere.
Food was wonderful again but our server was grumpy and acted like we were an inconvenience to him. The chef that would bring our food from the kitchen was incredible and so invested in the food he was bringing to us and that was wonderful to see but the waiter that was taking our orders was quite the opposite.
This place is definitely not good for groups. Only one server for the entire dining area. Food didn’t come out all at once and the plates were pretty small. Drinks were creative though.
I was very excited when booking this restaurant for brunch. The menu looked amazing and the prices were unbeatable. The experience wasn’t even close to what I was expecting. Upon arriving I could see they were understaffed and overwhelmed. Me and my friend were seated and then left to fend for ourselves. After 15 minutes of waiting, I got up and got menus. After another 15 minutes someone poured us water. I was watching as tables with larger parties who were seated after were already being served drinks. My friend pulled a waiter aside to ask when we could order. He said he would be right with us, then he must of forgot. Finally after an hour we ordered drinks and food. The drinks came about 10 minutes later but the food came forty minutes after. The waiter apologized and gave us a free glass of champagne but, if anyone knows us we would of had ordered more drinks in that time. When the food finally arrived, it was dissatisfying. I wanted an hour and forty minutes for a very small portion of what tasted like not so fresh lobster Benedict’s and cold, bland cheesy grits. My friend ordered French toast that was denser than bread pudding and literally in the shape of half a pan loaf... but you can play games. Unfortunately, I loved the restaurant when it was hops and scotch. The layout is great. Too bad I’ll never go again.
returned for Sunday brunch here after our Friday dinner. loved “The Madonna” mimosa spread! bottle of prosecco with several juices.
variety of Benedict options, moderate portions.
