High Shores Supper Club has served the Chippewa Falls area and Lake Wissota since 1936, bringing the classic Wisconsin Supper Club feel to the Chippewa Valley.

Beautiful setting with lots of outdoor seating in addition to indoor. Very nice salad bar which comes with all entrees and by itself if you prefer. We went at 4:30 and it didn’t get crowded until we were almost ready to leave. It gets too noisy for us to hear conversation during regular dinner time. That’s not a problem when we sit outside, which is my preference, but my husband has temporary mobility issues so we wanted to be near the salad bar. When we left there were about 10 people in line at the salad bar. Prices aren’t out of line. No gluten free options but the salad bar is better than most.

We had a reservation for six people at 6:45 pm. Called to change the number of people at 5 pm and to also see if we could come earlier. There was no problem to change the number of people but couldn’t change the time. We got there at 6:10 or so. Sat at the bar and took a while to get served. At 6:55 we questioned the hostess about our table and we were told they were just cleaning it up and resetting. The view was incredible. They happened to be out of burgers and baked potatoes so someone didn’t plan for a Memorial Day weekend. Food delicious and priced perfectly.

We had a party of 7 and received our food in stages. Two of our party received the food 15 min after the first four and the seventh got theirs another 5 min after that. No aplogy.

I made reservations over a week in advance. I requested a window view, which was granted, and happily remembered. Our reservations were for 6 pm. We were promptly seated at exactly 6 pm. However, it was very noisy with other conversations (yeah yeah, I sound old but I'm actually not). We could barely maintain a dinner conversation as yelling across the table was absurd. Our server did not ask what we wanted for drinks (or appetizers) until 6:15 pm. We were not served our ordered drinks until 6:45 pm. Our dinner orders were not taken until 6:55 pm. A request for a second round of drinks was not requested (or heard) until 7:25 pm. Our food was not delivered until 7:40 pm (steak and shrimp for a table of four). My requested French fries were so horribly over-cooked, they were reminiscent of doritos potato chips. Our third round of drinks (beer) was completely undelevered, even though three requests were made. At 8:25, our party was asked "did you get those last drinks", to which we confirm, "no". The server offered to get another round, but at a delivery rate of 16 ounces of beer every 45 minutes, we decided it was not worth waiting until 9 pm for our last round of drinks. If you wish to have mediocre food, a beer an hour, horrible parking, an atmosphere not conducive to have conversation, then this would be place for you!!
