Noisy, small, expensive for the experience

Love the variety of beer choices. Girlfriend enjoyed the cocktails. Octopus appetizer is a must-try!

Dry-aged ribeye was delish, and my girlfriend will be back for scallops for sure. Raspberry tiramisu dessert hit the spot. Will be back.

Great food, wine selection

Food was bland, prices are on the high side, service was horrible. Overall experience was very disappointing. We will not be back.

Wonderful food and service. We especially liked the blue cheese wedge salad with bacon. Best blue cheese salad I’ve ever had. Scallops were huge and cooked perfectly. Ribeye was flavorful. We will be back!

Food is excellent and a little bit out of the ordinary too. Had the Octopus appetizer and was very impressed with the presentation and taste. Our table had both seafood entrees, scallops and shrimp as well as the burger. All were extremely delicious. We had a shareable side of asparagus which easily fed 3 people. Looking forward to the next special occasion

The food was great, but for the price, I would expect really good service and that didn’t happen. It looked to me like the server staff was hosting, bar tending, and waiting.

This location is in a hotel which is strange for a higher end steakhouse. We had bacon as an appetizer and we didn’t care for it at all. The waiter took it away without asking if it should be taken off the bill. Our steaks came and neither were done appropriately. I had asked for no char and there was and it was rare to medium instead of medium. When I sent it back they threw away my Brussel sprouts. There were no included salads and the steaks were high end priced. Service was fair. No real concern about giving us a truly remarkable dining experience. Definitely not worth the high price. We will stick to republic chophouse in Green Bay as they have a much better product. Wedge salad was amazing.

Group of three went to dinner. Watched the badger game in the bar. Brussels sprouts were great! I had the prawns and they were good.

Music choice was like elevator music. Other than that it was a great experience.

The food and environment was good. But there was only 1 server there. The price of the food is pretty pricey. Environment was good.

Our first time at Wissota Chop House in Neenah. It was our early Valentines Day dinner. Were really looking forward to it. Atmosphere was nice. A bit loud. Service was fair. Waitress seemed annoyed at our questions and was short with us. My steak was not done as ordered. Sent it back with another server because she didn’t come back to check how our meals were.
Food was good but overpriced.

First I will say I felt bad for the only server working. Even though this review is about everything else. He was the only one working the bar area plus the tables. One of the highlights was that he did bring my wife and I a glass of wine for our anniversary. After that it was pretty much downhill. As I said he was the only one working but seemed more interested with finding something to watch on the tv behind the bar than checking on the tables. My wife and I had 3 glasses each that were empty for about 20 minutes before a refill was brought. Now onto the food. We got some blue cheese bacon truffle fries for an appetizer which were good. I also got the alligator which was also very good, but that’s where it stopped. Our side for 2 was bacon three cheese Mac which was bland, no seasoning whatsoever which was odd since there was supposed to be 3 different cheeses on it. We both got a NY strip medium. When they were brought out my wife got a different sauce than mine to put on hers and I got mine Oscar style. Both sauces tasted the same and the only thing I really ate from my steak was the crab meat on top. The steaks were more on the medium rare side than medium. Again, no flavor on the steak, not even salt or pepper. The server did bring over some salt and pepper after we told him it had no flavor. Noise level was alittle high most of the night until the party of 8 people left from the table next to us. My wife did order some drink that tasted really bad that the server took off the bill because she didn’t drink it. So to sum up, server was only one working, not his fault the food was bad but he did play with the tv more than check on tables. Food bad other than our appetizers and my crab on my steak. Not worth the money we spent. Funny part is I’m no chef but my wife made the comment that I cooked steak better 😂

Great menu, value for money, excellent food prepared beautifully

First time here and was blown away with the presentation of the food and the taste of the food. So delicious. First time I had grilled octopus!!! Loved it!!!The waitress and staff were friendly. They follow all safety measures to keep you comfortable dining during Covid.

Very over priced food for the quality. Sea bass was barely edible. No seasoning on the risotto. Chicken was such a small portion and took a long time to come out. Server was nice. Overall very disappointed- will not dine again.

It was our first time dining at Wissota Chophouse. I ordered an expensive 6oz steak that I had to pay extra to add any kind of sauce or topping to. I added the wild mushroom medley to top my steak. The flavor of the steak was not good, it tasted plain with an ending of metal. It was cooked to my liking, but for the price I was extremely disappointed with the flavor. I had to also pay extra for any side, which was super disappointing that the steak didn’t even come with a salad with that extreme price. My husband had the burger and said it was good. Do not think we would come back, the price for the dissatisfaction.

Neither of us were expecting the amount of food that was brought out! The appetizer was amazing, the soup was amazing, both steaks cooked perfectly, zero complaints from either of us that night. Knowledgeable and friendly waitress as well! We’ll definitely return.

The food servings including the dessert were all excellent. The only negative was the small portion of A la carte sea bass. I recently had it in Stevens Point and I thought it was on the smaller side then and this was 1/3 smaller.

Excellent service however the steak had little flavor and the shrimp was slightly over cooked. For the prices expected much more than what we experienced

Steaks were fabulous, Heather was a great and the dessert was excellent. A bit expensive, but well worth it.

Appetizers and drinks were delicious. My steak was over cooked but the flavor was there. I had the aged ribeye. Risotto was very greasy and not creamy. I moved the rice to one side of the bowl and had about three tablespoons of oil ooze on to the other side. Also tried the sea bass. Had no flavor and the risotto had the same grease problem. Service was great and she felt bad about the steaks. It was 65 dollar steak that the kitchen aged for 85 days and then over cooked for me. Get some apps, beer, and steak and skip their sides. Just order the steak one temp lower than you normally do and it will be fine.

Food was great. Nice selection of local beer. Service and ambiance was good. Pricey.

Amazing!!!

Thank you... we had a wonderful time. Service was exceptional. Food was amazing... steak was done perfectly and could be cut with a butter knife. Scallops were tender and flavorful. Definitely will be back and highly recommend dining here.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted right away. He was very polite and seated us immediately. Our server was excellent, friendly. Food was delicious but I put 4 stars for value as I did feel it was a bit expensive. Yes we did look at the menu and prices before we went. It was our 19th Anniversary and we heard good things so we went.

The food was great! Only complaint was I thought drinks were a bit expensive. Would definitely come back to eat. Just not have drinks

Very under staffed. Sat for 50 minutes and no one would take our food order. Drinks sat empty for 30 minutes. We left and went somewhere else. Will not be back.

Service was great but I spent the next day in the bathroom from the food

My husband and I both enjoyed our dinners very much. The wedge salad and French onion soup were excellent and the filet mignon was top notch, the bernaise sauce was not as good as others I’ve had, texture and taste was not good. The Mac and cheese with bacon was really good and so was the carrot cake, which is a generous serving for two. Biggest complaint is the noise road, they have a lovely patio but we chose to dine inside due to traffic noise, but with all the doors open it was loud inside too. Pricey but very good food, a nice splurge for a special occasion.

Phenomenal find in small town Wisconsin! Steak is top notch! Drinks are perfect!

Wissota is a great place to meet with friends and family. Menu has a little something for everyone.

Took dad there for Father’s Day with brothers. Place was nice. Friendly staff.
Didn’t have all their beers available on menu. Food was good. Very overpriced. The term you get what you pay for doesn’t apply here. Def not worth the price. Almost $500 for 4 people!

We were so impressed with Wissota, they even gave us a complimentary piece of anniversary cake. The staff was so accommodating and friendly, best of yet the food was amazing. We will definitely be back.
