   Comparing the price of food and quality does not match, disappointing as we relied on comments to make this our first visit. Very long lag time between each course. Server was very nice and martinis were good. Husbands steak was over cooked, but was nice enough not to have the cook remake because of how long things were taking. Will not return.

   This restaurant has NEVER let us down, until now. We had 6 in our party celebrating our 6 year olds birthday. The service was extremely slow, it took an hour after ordering to get food. When it did arrive, the $45 steak ordered medium-rare was over well. Unfortunately, our 6 year old was practically in tears after waiting an hour for his hamburger so we didn’t send it back and delay the torture further. Also, we ordered plain French fries for all three kids instead of truffle fries (standard option) and they all arrived truffle flavored, which none of them touched. The asparagus and Brussel sprouts were smushy without flavor. I asked the wait staff 4 times to expedite the kids food, but nothing worked. Waste of a birthday celebration and money.

   This is by far the best restaurant in Washington County and the surrounding area. We absolutely love coming here. The food is always incredible. The atmosphere is very inviting and relaxing and the service is always spot on. Ashlee usually serves us, and she along with all the other staff are definitely part of the reason we continue to come back. They truly make us feel like family.

   Had a steak ,ordered medium. There was spots that were kinda chewy but overall was good. Found to be a little overpriced. But , they did have happy hour which was a very price good. With the prices probably would eat there only on special occasions.

   We took our family out for a weekend dinner, and wanted to try a new place. From the time we entered the establishment through the end of our experience the service was great! The menu was abundant with options for every taste, however, at the time we were there, the restaurant was out of a few menu items which was not an issue for us. The appetizers were good, and the drinks were made well. The side dishes we ordered were also made well. But this is where what we thought was going to be one of our better dining experiences ended. We each ordered medium prepared steaks, and thinking that the main course would have been cooked to the same quality we had experienced with the appetizers and side, the steaks were cooked beyond well done and would rate this preparation with negative stars if we had the opportunity. 2 people absolutely wanted to return their dinners to be re-prepared, however in consideration of time, we opted to deal with the overcooked and ruined dinner plates. The icing to the entire experience was closing the doors to the rear of the restaurant which were right next to our table as we ate, and then seating a belligerent and clearly pre-intoxicated group right next to our table to the point where we just wanted to leave and cut our family dinner short due to their obnoxious demeanor and extremely loud conversation. Needless to say, this establishment is not worth the $344 bill for a party of 4!

    Wissotas Chophouse Staff are some of the most friendly and engaging folks we ever came across. We have considered them family. Service was superior and given that it was sooo busy on New Years Eve they all kept a smile on their faces. Food was top notch delicious and cannot wait to go back there again.     Service was totally absent. Reservation for 3 at6:15pm, seated promptly, and then everything went downhill. Appetizer did not come to table until 7:15, Entrees did not get served until 8:25. The explanation was there was a large group they were serving first, but that group was about 12 guests. While left wondering when our food was coming, the waitress never came to refill water, tell us what was the delay, etc.

    Open table had a dinner for two which was the reason why we went there. Our waitress could have given a hoot about that and said there was one special. 3 of the 4 of us ordered it and it was good and good value. I ordered the steak which was good, but way overpriced. 45 for a 5 oz filet. A hotel restaurant wannabe steak place.

    Our peppercorn-crusted NY Strip and Filet w/Hollandaise were terrific. Carissa, our server, was exceedingly helpful, energetic, and conversational. The entire staff was welcoming at every turn. First visit, and certainly not the last!

    It’s very rare that I get to eat food of this caliber; my husband and I were both blown away by the surf and turf, mushroom risotto and HUGE piece of delicious chocolate cake for dessert. We received great wine suggestions by our server and our water never went below half full. Dang near close to silver service. The *only* thing that’s less than perfect is half of their dining area has bad, too-bright lighting which messes with the ambience of a high quality meal.

    Food was outstanding! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the lacking ambience. Overhead lighting in dinning room was like spot lights, too bright and there was no music playing so you could hear every tables conversations.

    The prices are a little high for the Hartford area but it's definitely a place I would recommend for a special dinner. The food is consistently great and the service has been excellent each time we have been there. Great job!

    We love it here! Best date night! For the first time in over 10 visits we had one steak a little well done—the staff was amazing to quickly fixed the issue and deliver one of the best steaks our friend has ever had! Things happen but places who fit it and carry on without an issue will always be top choices for us!

    From the service to the food to the ambience, this place is amazing. Our waitress last night was amazing! She really helped make our one year anniversary special. I loved how she was always checking on us and even apologized for our soup and salad being a little late which we didn't really notice because we were caught up in chatting. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed it 100% and will no doubt be back again.

    We took a chance on dining at Wissota foe the very first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Many people had said how outstanding it was….expensive but outstanding. My old fashioned and the hubbys Jack on the rocks were adequate for the price. Hubbys drink had one of those huge square ice cubes. We are not fans of those as they do not chill the drink very well. Nothing exceptional about them. Wish we had been forewarned on how huge the portions were as we would have made some adjustments to our choices. We both had the Caesar salad. It was huge and delicious. On our next visit we will share one salad. The hubby had the filet, I chose the Parmesan crusted chicken with tortellini. We also had a side of bacon Mac n cheese. At no point were we offered fresh ground pepper as other diners were. When our meals arrived we had to ask for salt and pepper. The steak was exceptional as was my chicken. The Mac n cheese was a tad salty for us so we took it home. There was no baked potato or even au gratins on the menu which we found odd. We will return again however we will share a salad and choose a different side.

    The restaurant was almost empty on a Sunday night and we were glad when the loud drunks left. The food was not fussy or complicated but it was executed very well.

    The ambiance is ok. Food was great, though it was not worth spending over $200 for two meals. We are Cooper Hawk wine club members and by far CH ambiance, food, wine is better. We were celebrating my birthday and wasn't asked if we were there for a special occasion & to just seat yourself. We will not be returning.

    Excellent from service, ambiance and food! We had a great time with our friends and never felt rushed. Fine dining experience. We were rather happy with the delightful lady serving us. She was kind patient and knowledgeable on menu items. Had good suggestions. Our meals were simply delicious complements to the chef!! Then dessert-well let’s just say great portions 🥰and again delicious. We will be returning and highly suggest. Plan on coming to relax & enjoy your meal

    Best steak I have had in YEARS! My only complaint is that they don’t have a slightly larger petite filet because 5 oz was no enough 😃 My husband has the burger and he loved it. We shared sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was a meal fit for a king…..queen 😊.

    Great food. Service was timely and friendly. The lower wood ceiling really seems to keep the noise in. But there was a large retirement gathering in the bar area so that was the main reason for the noise level.

    Overall underwhelming for the price. Food was just okay. The fig and honey goat cheese appetizer had zero fig flavor. Bacon slab was undercooked. Meals were good but not worth the $70 price tag. Overall not sure we’d come back.

    A $70, 10ou filet with Oscar topping was ordered medium-rare and came out well-done . I didn't want to wait for another steak to be prepared as my friends were eating their meals at this point. I humbly asked for a partial discount and the manager said ...that is not their policy. So they prepared another 10ou filet---- Surely this cost them more money than the small discount I requested.
