Wissota Chophouse - Hartford

One of the best restaurants in the area. We try to dine there at least twice a month. Great food, great service. Servers are all friendly.

The food by Chef Roger is spot on delicious! Steaks, mixed grill and Sea Bass were cooked perfectly! The Mac n cheese and Brussel sides for two were also cooked to perfection! Tasty drinks and moist carrot cake wrapped up a splendid evening with family!!

First night out post-Apocalypse and we must say job well done Wissota! Our servers were outstanding and the food matched! With so much going on I the world my wife and I were treated like we were old friends and we enjoyed that so much and will definitely return!!

This place was so beautiful and nice! Food was amazing, staff was tentative and friendly! We were celebrating what should have been our wedding day and Ashley our server made us feel so special! Will 100% be back!

Exceptional food and ambiance. Staff is treats one like a member of the Wissota family. Always a pleasure to dine at the Wissota Chophouse in Hartford.

The rib eye was scrumptious as was the filet. Our friends enjoyed their meals, too. We are so happy you have reopened. I'll be REALLY happy when you bring back the yummy salad I usually get (although the caprese salad was great), the asparagus and sea bass.

We ate their Saturday AND Sunday. Tina is a delight and her daughter was great, too. Tina went above and beyond with Sunday night's meal. We so appreciate all she does to make us feel appreciated and welcomed!

First dining after quarantine! Loved the food and the service was impeccable! Wished full menu had been available! But understand why and we look forward to going back again soon when full menu is available. Happy to patronize a local business! Highly recommend!

The Chophouse has the best food in the area. Unfortunately, we were there on a holiday night and the waitstaff was overwhelmed. My wife asked the hostess if there was a coat check and the hostess looked at us like a deer in headlights. Would like to see someone a bit more socially adept here. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation and then sat for at least 10 minutes before the waitress greeted us. I don't put too much fault on the waitress as they were slammed, but the experience would be better if the restaurant wasn't overbooked. Steak was awesome and we will try it again to see if service levels improve.

When ordering a Bullet on the rocks and receiving a water downed version of it was very disappointing. The food was fair but we will be taking a break again and may not return at all. It was terrible when it first opened we gave it a year and came back and the management changed and the food was great and so was the service. Now they are regressing back to not so good.

We’ve eaten here twice so far and plan to return. Very good food. It is a little pricey but the food quality justifies the cost. It’s a great place in Hartford for a special dinner out!

Went here for New Year’s Eve dinner. Special menu for New Year. Friendly and professional wait staff. We had the lobster bisque, above average, seared scallops, nice size and quantity (5); husband wanted them seared a bit more than they were. I had 6 oz. steak, requested medium well and it arrived well; steak had good beef flavor. Our sides of grilled asparagus and mushroom risotto were both good; the asparagus had some tough stalks. The prices were expensive, though, for food quality, service. Pricing will deter us from going there more frequently.

We dined at the Chophouse for New Year's Eve and it was delicious. Our server Lynn was very friendly, helpful and attentive throughout our dining experience. The steaks were flavorful, tender and paired nicely with the wild mushroom risotto. We were happy to see the Chophouse so busy and the secret getting out on the quality if food and service!!

We had all shareables and sides. All were very good except the risotto. It may have sat too long before serving but it was too sticky. We didn’t eat it and told the waitress that it was not good. No reduction in our bill which would have been nice. We’ll go again though- crab cakes were excellent!

The food was absolutely fantastic. I had a steak that wasn`t only cooked perfectly but I could slice it with a butter knife! My wife had the sea scallops and she thought they were incredible as well! The prices are a little high but you won`t complain about the meal! We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time at Wissota Chophouse! The food was impeccable! We had the nicest server named Lynn who made wonderful suggestions and make sure our first time was amazing. We enjoyed the food much that we recently did take out which was just as amazing. This is our new go-to place!

We love the Chophouse! We brought a couple of folks with us who were wanting to check it out. All was wonderful with the exception of the calamari. We've had the calamari there before and it was excellent. This particular time it was a little too rubbery. EVERYTHING ELSE was magnificent, including our service.

Fairly expensive as this is an ala carte restaurant.

We had a wonderful meal, however, we placed our food order at 6:15pm and did not receive our food, due to a verbal complaint, until 6:55pm. No one should ever wait that long to have their food delivered to the table. We had a 7:30pm show so with that we had to rush thru our meal. But with that once the food arrived it was absolutely excellent.

Never disappointed . Service and food is superb. Took some friends to dinner and they loved it.

Was extremely impressed with the food all 4 of our dinners were excellent. The food is higher priced but it well worth it in taste and quality. Deffinatly will be back. Highly recommend.

For reference, I travel a fair amount across the country including east and west coast eating out often. While the ambience of the restaurant was nice the prices, for Hartford Wisconsin, were ridiculous especially taking into account that meals are ala cart. I ordered the ribeye and the cut was mediocre at best. More disturbing, the steak was prepared with massive amounts of salt that made it relatively inedible. Even after returning the steak the next ribeye was also mediocre and, while not as salty, still had too much salt. The waitress, when I pointed out the first steak to her, tried to convince me that I really didn't understand how they cooked with Himalayan sea salt which I found a bit offensive. Excessive amounts of salt on food are just that, regardless of the salt origin. I will say the nueske's bacon slab appetizer was delicious but, again, in my opinion overpriced.

Hidden gem that should not be missed! Quality of food is top notch. Summer risotto was fantastic and the caprese salad was so good. Seasoning on steaks was excellent and prepared exactly as requested. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with menu selections. We will definitely be back!

Very good food. Nice to have this option in Hartford! Lovely atmosphere. Sharables are reasonably priced if you want something less expensive than steak. Definitely will be back!

Always wonderful. Lynn is a most gracious and professional server. I would make one comment though. There was a short, dark-haired woman -- perhaps an assistant manager, who almost had on her top. She was so buxomy that her breasts were almost hanging out. My husband was embarrassed to even look at her. It was a bit much.

My 2nd time here. First time everything great. We had a group of 5. My meal came 10 minutes after every one else. my sea bass was over cooked
And Brussel sprouts were so overdone hardly recognizable. The calamari was awful. Not one of us liked it. The steaks the other ms had were superb

The service was superb. The General Manager came by the table to ask how we were doing. My husband and I both have food allergies. The Chophouse was more than accommodating to our needs. We have had restaurants in the recent past who would not allow any modifications, so to find the
Chophouse willing to do so and to have the food be delicious was a delight! The noise level was not bad because we were in the dining room and not in the bar area. The bar area seemed a bit noisy which is to be expected!

Bad food at big city prices. Don’t waste your time.
