   The Food was overall excellent with one exception. I had the Pepper encrusted Ribeye and it presented very nice. It had a great texture and shape. However, it had a distinct "watery" flavor that indicated it was either frozen just before cooking or perhaps was close to frozen and not given enough time to rest to room temperature before cooking. Other then that the rest of the food was very well prepared. Although being a steak house, the steak should be the hero.

   I was uncertain since it was in a small hotel but the drinks, service and food impressed up. Such a lovely meal. Nice and quiet so good conversation. Staff knew what they were delivering, and the kitchen was superb.

   I really wanted to give Wissota Chophouse 5 stars. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy, the fried goat cheese and raspberry tiramisu were some of the the best apps and dessert we’ve ever had. But, the mushrooms on our steak were very salty, all we could taste of the mushroom risotto was pepper, and our medium rare steaks were cooked more like medium well. I would definitely go back to try something else on the menu- hoping it was just an off night.

   Dining options were really good and quite varied, presentation was very nice, and the quality was fantastic. Service was great, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely return. My only word of caution is that it seems like it could get very loud with the lack of acoustic dampening. Lots of glass walls and solid surface floors.

   The food, service and atmosphere were all great. We both had the lobster bisque, which is a more than generous portion. I had the 8oz filet with onions and blue cheese add-ons. It was cooked medium rare, as requested and was fantastic. My wife had the scallops, which were also cooked perfectly and she enjoyed them. To drink I had the old fashioned flight, which was fun. All 4 of the flavors were good, even the cinnamon/vanilla which I was unsure about when ordering. My wife also enjoyed her huckleberry old fashioned. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We had reservations for 5pm on a Saturday, and it was very quiet when we were seated. A few more parties were seated by the time we left.

   Great food. Poor seating placement for a group of 6 doing business. Service was good other than serving refrigerated red wine.

   My husband had the (special) espresso rubbed filet - perfectly done and excellent flavor. He also enjoyed the wedge salad. We did think it was pricey at $70 for the steak alone. I had the Brussels sprout cheese & bacon soup, and the mushroom risotto with a chicken breast. The soup was delicious except for being so salty I could only eat about a third of it. The chicken breast was unseasoned and so overcooked it was inedible. The mushroom risotto was ok. Very nice Malbec and absolutely great service. They also send us home with a raspberry tiramisu for hubby’s birthday that was excellent. I am updating this review because the day after I Posted it, Manager Bailey reached out and said ‘not good enough’ and is making it right. This says a lot more about a restaurant than a dry chicken breast and salty soup. I will definitely follow up when we return.
