Disappointed with the food overall. We are very adventurous diners so it was not that the food was too experimental. When commenting on the extremely large appetizer portions, the server said, oh, well they are meant to share with a few people--not sure how we were supposed to have known that... The biggest disappointment was the beef skewers, which were cooked to medium and medium-well. The server told us it is because they cut the meat into lots of different size pieces and so there's not really a consistent doneness, but to let them know next time and they'll try to cut the meat the same size for our particular wishes. Come on--it's Texas and you're not going to really pay attention to the doneness on STEAK??
We had a great time! The chef is interactive with guests and the food was amazing! We will be back soon. This is the best food I’ve had in Fort Worth, and a nice break from the plethora of downtown steakhouses!!
We shared the charcuterie board, an appetizer and entree. Everything was good, without being spectacular. The menu is rather limited, and they were even out of one of the two salads that were offered. Serving sizes are very generous for the price. Will go again and try the Speakeasy. Looks like a fun place to have after dinner drinks!
This was our second visit. Food was excellent and the hostess and wait staff took good care of us, but unlike our first time last spring, the restaurant was only about half full on a busy Saturday night (TCU-Texas football game weekend). We decided the problem must be that the price point does not match the atmosphere. On top of a fairly pricey regular menu, the specials ranged from $42 to $75–seems awfully high for what is essentially a casual restaurant. We will probably be back but wish they would consider some more reasonable menu options!
The quality of food has significantly decreased. The price was not reflective of the value. Chef was unwilling to make substations based on dietary restrictions.
Sorely disappointed with this place. I ordered the Chilean sea bass with baby octopus. My Chilean sea bass had a very nice crust on it , but the inside was completely raw, and I’m talking sushi raw… i couldn’t even cut through it with my fork and I’ve had Chilean sea bass multiple times. I just ate around the edges where it was cooked. Apparently that was the case with another person’s dish also. I saw the same plate which I had ordered going back to the kitchen. $58 fish down the drain…
Excellent food and service!
One of the best = if not THE best restaurants in Fort Worth. Amazing food. Amazing service. My current favorite place.
Great service at this establishment. We liked the setting but were surprised that the main dining/bar area wasn't larger. A+ on the lobster mac & cheese. Big chunks of lobster and loaded with several varieties of cheese. B on the shaved brussel sprout salad. I would have preferred bigger rustic style pieces of some ingredients like cranberries, pumpkin seeds and feta cheese. C on the mussels. Many mussels did not have much meat inside and the broth (which makes this dish) could have had more flavor.
Everything was dynamite (as always)
Food and service were outstanding!
If you like food with layers of nuanced flavors, without being pretentious, 5 star service, and strong drinks…Wishbone and Flynt is for you. I tried the Catch of the Day special, which was a sea bass dish, and it was stunning and delicious. We also tried the chef’s signature pb&j wings which were incredible- each bite a delightful play between warm spices and the hint of sweet tartness from the blackberry sauce! My husband tried the Flynt burger which he said was easily one of the best burgers of his life. You’ll probably be full after the generous portions…but do NOT skip dessert!! Trust me. 10/10. We will absolutely be back!
The food was not exceptional. The fish of the day was good, but it was over $50, and was never told to us before ordering.
We enjoy this restaurant at least once a month. I am so happy when they have the venison on the menu, as the chef prepares that perfectly. We always start with the pb&j wings, which are addictive. We have had the pork, the chicken, the shrimp with pasta, all are amazing.
The hidden gem in the back of the house is a great way to start or finish the evening.
The menu changes seasonally. But this time the menu was amazing. If you are present during the summer menu, try the bone marrow dish. They cooked it really well. The Aztec cocktail is a classic hit no matter what. And irregardless of flavor the panna cotta is always great.
An amazing experience. Service was top notch, food was out of sight and Amber Room was Devine.
Probably one of the best meals we've had in a while. Waiter was great. Good atmosphere. They have outdoor dining but it was too hot. It's in an industrial area with an urban vibe. Highly recommend it and I'm from out of town.
Best Sea bass I’ve ever had! Loved the room at the back of the restaurant! Very cool!👌
It was great. Food was amazing as was the service.
My husband and I picked this place as it is new and the pictures of the food looked great. I made my reservation through OpenTable and was provided a reservation for two outside. We were shocked to arrive to partially covered seating outside in the 100 degree Texas heat. We had an event immediately after our dinner and we arrived very sweaty. Not our desire at all. the longer we sat the hotter and more uncomfortable we became as we were sat to the side with no direct air flow. We had originally been sat and a cheeky green table next to the window but it rocked back and forth and we were right up next to the glass with patrons immediately on the other side of the glass. We asked to be moved.
Marci , our waitress was great! She told us first thing that the 7 ounce steak was not available. I thought it odd to start with something you don't have. If you don't tell us we won't know. I feel there might be better wording.
We order the Shaved Brussel sprouts salad which had dried cherries, pumpkin seed, Gorgonzola, Prosciutto and a Champagne vinaigrette salad dressing. The top of the salad was good but the bottom was not dressed at all. It became very dry and hard to eat. We only ate half.
My husband got a coconut rum and coke and I got a glass of Prosecco and a glass of Chenin Blanc. We have no complaints on the taste of the alcohol. It was good for about 5 minutes until the Texas heat took over and my husbands drink became watery and my wine turned warm. Well it was our steak with the smallest portion of veg on the side I have ever seen. But that is not the worst part. The steak was marked on the menu as market. When our bill came we had been charged $75.00!! I checked Capital Grille ($55) and Ruth Chris ($59) and I am not sure what market they are purchasing from but wow! The steak did not taste, look, or feel textually like a $75 dollar steak should in our opinion. So my tips are ask for indoor seating if you make a reservation and check prices.
Delicious as always. The Lobster Mac is still my favorite in town!
Love Wishbone & Flynt. Never disappoints.
Great food. Interesting menu and attentive staff.
The food was good but the wait for each order was way too long. The noise level was so high we could not hear our own conversation. The chairs which we sat in for over 2 hours were very uncomfortable. The waitress did not comeback with explanations on why our orders were so slow. Won’t return sadly because the food was good.
Amazing everytime I go.
Love it! Great ambiance and service
We came early for cocktails at the amber room and were very impressed! Taylor served us for dinner and was kind and helpful in narrowing down our choices for dinner. The meat and cheese board was phenomenal as well as the fried green tomatoes. I had the rabbit ragu and my friend had the daily fish - halibut. The pepperonata sauce for the halibut was so good, and the fish was flakey and huge. The rabbit ragu? Out of this world. Will be back just for that. We finished with the brown butter cake which had amazing flavor, but was a bit dry. Cocktails were on point and the wine selection was generous.
Food was good. Eclectic feel to the place overall. Was a bit noisy. The Amber Bar which adjoins the restaurant is a better choice for the type of dining we did: drinks and shared appetizers.
Outstanding food, drinks and service. The octopus was delicious, as were the rabbit ragu and the scallops.
Awesome burger! Service way above average. Will be back for Tuesday nite music.
Ordered the shrimp. Most garlic ever on any plate--ANY plate. Another ordered the pork chop. VERY dry. Wine--way overpriced. Service? Nearly non existent.
Great food and Service. Tomahawk Pork Chop was amazing
Both food and service was excellent. Only my second time there, but both times were great.
We were seated right away. The service was excellent and the food was even better. The chef was visible and so was the manager. They even stopped and checked on us. The waiter suggested the venison and it was incredible. It was perfectly cooked and almost literally melted in my mouth. I will definitely be back and will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
We loved Wishbone and Flynt! Absolutely delicious, interesting and unique entrees and cocktails, wonderful service! We will be back!
Staff were excellent, food was amazing, drinks were great. Friendly and fun atmosphere, everyone enjoying themselves.
The shrimp pasta was way to spicy n salty. Couldn’t even taste the shrimp or anything else. Sat on patio n horrible punk type music and food took forever. For price, I expected more.
It was fine.
Loved everything! Great food and service!
Love seeing a full restaurant and patio on a Tuesday night! The pesto linguine was incredible and the red fish dip is always a fan favorite. Thank you for a great night out!
