Food was wonderful but it was so hot and steamy in the restaurant and the noise level was really loud. It was hard to have a conversation around the table.
I reserved a table on Google (I think) with instructions: outside, in shade. All was confirmed 2x’s, but upon arrival on time, I was informed that reservations are not accepted for outside seating; this was not indicated. As it turned out, we had no problem dining inside. All in all a good meal and fun night.
Food is phenomenal. Really love their focus on the ingredients and what they can be paired with. Personally, I think steak is overrated but I do love other meats however, for my visit I only had vegetables for dinner and I certainly was not disappointed or unsatisfied. Absolutely worth the money and love their values behind the menu along with their passion for food.
Cute place. Food was good. Smaller portions. Good service.
Delicious, fresh food. The space is a little small so make a reservation! Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a little on the spendy side, so be prepared, but if you like farm to table, you’ll love this place!
delicious, super-quality, thoughtfully prepared food, and great service.
Staff was friendly, ambience was great for the location, food & wine was amazing- and you can definitely taste the farm fresh- SO GOOD!!! We'll definitely check out again! -Thanks for experience!
The food was spectacular, and in a relaxed setting, which is more our style. The "share" plates were larger than expected, so after the two of us finished two of them, we could have gone without the main dishes and straight to dessert--having said that, the main dish was also great, but I can't speak to the desserts.
Really like the setting (except for the airplane noise) and also a nice wine list. The chicken was a bit overdone and our server was not so attentive. The salad was delicious though and there are other things on the menu I would like to try. I will be back as it could have been an off-night for them, as I did like the setting.
Hi Sue, Thank you so much for the feedback. We really appreciate your words, and share each review with our full staff. While we always strive to make each guest's experience a positive one, unfortunately we don't hit the mark every time. And of course, we would love to have you back! Take care ~
Made a reservation for dinner for Father's Day. Early 5pm and the hostess/our waitress was not as bubbly or friendly as I would have liked. The food was just so so. I had the black bean burger and would not recommend. Dry and flavor less. My husband had the chicken entree which was good but lacking in portion size and sides. Pot pie was more like wild rice soup. We did enjoy the custard, I really liked the cantaloupe/lavender sorbet and the rhubarb soda. We won't be coming back though. Service is everything and it took forever to get our meal and it was not busy at all. The waitress was fake and a little snotty.
Loved our dining experience. We ate outside on the patio and it was lovely. Food was unique and excellent. Prices are reasonable. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Only critique is that the serve was very slow. Fortunately we were enjoying visiting because we waited a very long time for our food.
The flavors were amazing, there was a variety of menu items to please a diverse group. Very pleasant patio.
Interesting menu that doesn't quite deliver.
We ordered 2 small plates. The meatballs were dense and needed more sauce. The mushrooms on a potatoe cake was more flavorful but over salted. The kale with egg soup had undercooked carrots
Great service! Lovely setting! We were on the patio & it was quiet & lovely
Four of us split 5 things for a pre-show meal. We enjoyed the egg (poached in broth with roast vegetables) poultry pot pie, mushrooms, and roasted beet hummus. Many liked the thick sliced bacon with brown sugar glaze. The Bloody Hell (comes with a whole Surly) was delicious and a meal in a glass, the Kelly Rose drink was good, too. They had Zuccardi Merlot the evening were were there. Delicious.
A truly great burger in a metro with several great burgers. And the pot pie was delicious and large -- took some home for lunch the next day. Great ambiance, even in the winter when the big garage door has to stay closed. Outside seating is comfy, and traffic, though present, is separate enough that it isn't annoying. Good wine selection -- first place I've ever seen orange wines served.
it was pretty good. server took a long time. steak would have been good if it was cooked properly and not tough to chew. chicken was incredible. and i thought saying the asparagus was “shareable” was a stretch.
I love wiseacre but we got a disappointing surprise on mother’s day - did not know ahead that they would have a special menu with only one choice, and very expensive. Also not friendly to those of us who can’t eat gluten or milk products
They gave my friends who we were celebrating their engagement free bubbly!
We went for Dine Out for Life and everything was on point. Service, food, experience, even the setup the helped put in place for the gentleman asking for donations for the Aliveness Project was well thought out and executed upon.
I am so thankful to have a place, no, establishment like Wise Acre in MPLS leading through not only sustainability but also community advocacy! There is a difference between an ally and an advocate, and Wise Acre has never been a place that I have witnessed to sit back and play the neutral party. That’s real leadership and it is admired!!
Thank you to Wise Acre, from Farmer to Busser, for making me feel welcomed, appreciated, and accepted.
We had a fabulous time at Wise Acre! We took forever to order since we were chatting and hadn’t seen each other for a while, and the server never rushed us and made us feel welcome To take our time. The food was excellent, and their outdoor seating was perfect for the gorgeous day. Will definitely be back!
Fantastic dinner outside on the patio. Service was great, food was delicious.
Food is reliably good. Had chicken pot pie and flank steak. Enjoyed atmosphere and food.
Excellent recommendations on food choices from our wait staff. Amazingly fresh food and incredible flavors. We will be back for outdoor eating when the weather warms!
The service was great and friendly, the lasagna was amazing with lots of delicious cheesy layers
Overall, we really enjoy your menu. The noise level is a little loud for my husband who suffers when trying to filter out extra noise during table conversation.
The chicken I had was pretty tough - chewy. It was probably free range? That might explain it. Flavor was good though, and the salad on top was tasty.
Have to say it was pricey for the amount and quality of food. Probably not repeat.
Small intimate setting in SW Minneapolis with character, prof service and farm menu.
The food and service were excellent. This consistently our favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities.
My sister and I like to explore restaurants. We enjoyed everything. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Our server was very friendly and her interaction was welcoming. She told us about the upcoming event and we made reservations for it. I have recommended Wise Acre to some already. I work in a downtown hotel and I will recommend this restaurant to our guests.
We eat here regularly and love the fresh food and creative flavors.
Food was very good. Service was great for a Friday evening. Appreciate the uniqueness of the restaurant. Would of liked some lighter options. Value was good for a farm to table restaurant.
More selection would be nice. Nothing wrong with the current offerings or menu. However there is a lot more that could be explored and it would have been great to be able to experience more of the farm in the form of sides or appetizers. Overall great experience, will def recommend and share the experience with friends.
Great farm to table options for all
This place is so cute and quaint! Please go here for a meal with your friend or cute little date. All homemade food and grown at their farm. That is such a great concept and so efficient. Cute living wall and the building is too cute and will always have this on my list of faves now!! Please check this place out.
I had the turkey breast entree that came with roasted vegetables. It was delicious. WAE never, ever disappoints. I am consistently please with the menu, service and atmosphere.
Great at vegetables, just so-so at protein... Steaks were cold and the preparations were questionable. Overall not impressed. It is unfortunate since it is in the neighborhood.
Valentine’s Day four course dinner
Wonderful! Overall great food and service! Best bacon we’ve ever had!
Wonderful Valentine’s Day Dinner. Can’t wait to return to try regular menu. Zero complaints.
