Food was good but not great. Nice place though and I have great meals in the past.
Amazing food! Lovely food experience!
Fantastic food, ambience, service, etc.
One of our favorite restaurants in Minneapolis.
Great food! Friendly wait staff. Very helpful in recommending choices. We enjoyed the fresh fare and warm welcome. We definitely will visit again. So excited to try this place in different seasons as their farm to table items change up.
The food was amazing! But service so so. Food came out segmented and with wide gaps. But when it did it we delicious! When asked about the delay in the rest of the order, the wait staff simply stated “we are doing the best we can” and walked away.
Wise Acre has been one of my go-to eateries, although I have to say the prices keep rising and what I used to call the best burger in town isn't quite as good as it was. Still, an excellent place.
What an exceptional experience! The food was wonderful and the simple knowledge it was single sourced from a local farm added a fascinating twist. What a ball!
Best place for those with allergies I've ever been
Food was fresh & flavorful. Paige, our server, was delightful & we had a lovely evening!
I love this place so much that I celebrated my birthday there! I am not a meat eater- it more than satisfied my meat loving family and me!
Outstanding great food with service to match. Very impressed with menu creativity and freshness of the food.
Great food and exceptional service. They we’re very understanding and accommodating when a couple of our party couldn’t make it.
Always excellent and interesting food. We had a great dinner
The ambiance and camaraderie is infectious and spreading. We went as 2 couples. Our guests discovered, to their surprise that their Chanhassen neighbor was there with their family. My wife bumped into her graduate school roommate whom she hadn't seen in years. The service and descriptions of the food were absolutely delightful.
Superb local food, beautifully prepared, and wonderful people. What more could you ask?
Service is always slow....
Excellent food and preparation
We love Wise Acre. The quality is, to borrow a phrase, "outstanding in the field"! Our only issue would be wishing they would change their menu a bit more. Their offerings are great, but we could use some variety. Love it nonetheless!
We enjoy Wise Acre for a couple of reasons: the quality of the ingredients, the flavorful dishes even from seemingly "boring" vegetables, and the friendliness.
Truly a spiritual experience. We left feeling nourished on so many levels.
can’t go wrong with wise acre eatery! always a fabulous experience
Everything was great! Loved the sundae with brownie bites!
We went there for the first time yesterday, and we will eat there again. There were three of us. We shared bread with fresh butter and caramelized onion butter (yum!), cauliflower done in several different ways (very nice), and their “vegetable of the moment,” which was eggplant and zucchini in curry batter (though I couldn't taste the curry and the eggplant was tough) with a delicious creamy sauce underneath it. One person had a pork dish he said was delicious. We shared a falafel “burger” with tzatziki--all homemade--like almost everything here--which was excellent. The restaurant serves spiced popcorn to people as they are seated. The night we were there it had cumin, saffron, and pepper on it. We absolutely loved it! I had a very intense hibiscus tea with simple syrup to sweeten it. It was really nice. Our friend tried the golden milk, which she liked, and my husband had really fabulous housemade ginger sparkling lemonade. For dessert, we shared a brownie with vanilla frozen custard--also excellent. Our friend enjoyed her coffee and even my husband, who doesn't generally like dairy, ended up loving the hot chocolate (not actually on the menu) that our server, Zane, whipped up for me.
The restaurant has a lovely patio. We ended up choosing to eat inside. The building has wonderful lofty ceilings with fans on them. It was not overly airconditioned but pleasantly cool.
Our service from Zane was fabulous: personal, relaxed, efficient, and attentive. We always felt cared for but never rushed. He is a real asset to the restaurant.
Possible downsides of the restaurant: The menu is small, vegetable-packed, and a little unusual--this food won't be for everyone. This restaurant is quite pricey--$ 17 for a bowl of vegetables. Plusses: interesting food, well prepared, and not like one gets everywhere (or anywhere) else; a relaxing environment; great service; and the house-made, farm-to-table focus.
We love it here!
Everything was great, and the mushrooms were out of this world.
Charming place with great food and staff.
We will definitely frequent!
Always fresh and amazing food.
We're new to the Minneapolis area and asked a few neighbors about their favorite restaurant. Wise Acre Eatery was recommended and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a unique place, this is it. Farm to table fresh. Service was excellent, food and beverage was perfect. We tried many different things on the menu, so it's hard to say what was best -- it was all good. We had the bread plate, salad, fries, meat & cheese plate, and bacon for starters, then the thai chicken and burgers for main. Desert was hot fudge sunday. All excellent, we even took home some fresh cookies for later. Highly recommend. We'll go back.
Food was wonderful but it was so hot and steamy in the restaurant and the noise level was really loud. It was hard to have a conversation around the table.
On a nice summer evening, it was nice to sit out on their side patio. The food was good, a light mix of greens and their burger. My daughter tried the bean burger, and really liked it.
I reserved a table on Google (I think) with instructions: outside, in shade. All was confirmed 2x’s, but upon arrival on time, I was informed that reservations are not accepted for outside seating; this was not indicated. As it turned out, we had no problem dining inside. All in all a good meal and fun night.
Food is phenomenal. Really love their focus on the ingredients and what they can be paired with. Personally, I think steak is overrated but I do love other meats however, for my visit I only had vegetables for dinner and I certainly was not disappointed or unsatisfied. Absolutely worth the money and love their values behind the menu along with their passion for food.
Cute place. Food was good. Smaller portions. Good service.
Delicious, fresh food. The space is a little small so make a reservation! Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a little on the spendy side, so be prepared, but if you like farm to table, you’ll love this place!
delicious, super-quality, thoughtfully prepared food, and great service.
Staff was friendly, ambience was great for the location, food & wine was amazing- and you can definitely taste the farm fresh- SO GOOD!!! We'll definitely check out again! -Thanks for experience!
The food was spectacular, and in a relaxed setting, which is more our style. The "share" plates were larger than expected, so after the two of us finished two of them, we could have gone without the main dishes and straight to dessert--having said that, the main dish was also great, but I can't speak to the desserts.
Really like the setting (except for the airplane noise) and also a nice wine list. The chicken was a bit overdone and our server was not so attentive. The salad was delicious though and there are other things on the menu I would like to try. I will be back as it could have been an off-night for them, as I did like the setting.
Hi Sue, Thank you so much for the feedback. We really appreciate your words, and share each review with our full staff. While we always strive to make each guest's experience a positive one, unfortunately we don't hit the mark every time. And of course, we would love to have you back! Take care ~
Made a reservation for dinner for Father's Day. Early 5pm and the hostess/our waitress was not as bubbly or friendly as I would have liked. The food was just so so. I had the black bean burger and would not recommend. Dry and flavor less. My husband had the chicken entree which was good but lacking in portion size and sides. Pot pie was more like wild rice soup. We did enjoy the custard, I really liked the cantaloupe/lavender sorbet and the rhubarb soda. We won't be coming back though. Service is everything and it took forever to get our meal and it was not busy at all. The waitress was fake and a little snotty.
Loved our dining experience. We ate outside on the patio and it was lovely. Food was unique and excellent. Prices are reasonable. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Only critique is that the serve was very slow. Fortunately we were enjoying visiting because we waited a very long time for our food.
The flavors were amazing, there was a variety of menu items to please a diverse group. Very pleasant patio.
