Winter Garden is a beautiful restaurant with pretty good food and an amazing bar. My biggest issue with our meal there was the service. They have the practice of only giving the men menus with prices on them
which I find to be a slightly antiquated practice. In general we found that the servers didn’t show as much respect to the women at the table.

the tasting menu choices were excellent. there was some ambiguity with the choice of paring wines - although the menu implied that we had options with the wines, this wasn't the case. Those chosen by the sommelier were good, but he gave the impression that he had to convince us.
it was a lovely setting with attentive staff who respected our privacy.

We were led to believe that this was a Michelin starred restaurant with innovative food. We had to confirm the reservation in advance. However, on arrival, the menu turned out to be standard trattoria fare - and not very interesting, but very expensive. A highly disappointing experience.

Birthday celebration and we were a party of eight. We all had the sampler. The food was outstanding. The service exceptional. The restaurant setting is spectacular. A wonderful place for a special occasion. It is pricy but worth it.

The dinner was incredible and the staff made the whole experience very memorable. The sommelier was amazing. The wine pairings with the dinner were exceptional. The food was fantastic and we tasted some unique and wonderful Italian wines.

Utah Friends meeting in Florence for dinner, 6 of us. Good experience, had better at La Caravella 4 nights in Venice, but that was the best in Venice, so we set ourselves up. But still quite nice, lovely. Thank you.

Hi. Visited this restaurant last weekend. It was disappointing from several perspectives. OK some people may not find the "Water Menu" with water at almost 400 Euros pretentious but I do. However they are entitled to charge that amount for water if they want to. Then the food did not start well. We really should have sent back the bread which must have been sliced many hours earlier because it was rather stale. The menu, on a warm day in April (about 25C) was full of things like foie gras although my steak was pleasant. My partner's lobster starter had a large vein in it for which the staff apologised and did not charge. The menu seemed a little odd and possibly more suitable for a cold winter's day.
The piano music in the back fround was pleasant and the service attentive.
For a claimed one star Michelin (really?) it wasn't very good overall.
