Spaghetti Sunday is the best deal in town. Can’t beat the price and quality.
My go-to with friends and family. Service is always outstanding, food is delicious and value is unbeatable. Highly recommend Spaghetti Monday’s and Winsome Wednesdays. 😋
Winsome is a delightful neighborhood find with that too elusive but so desirable element, a lovely outdoor space. Though service was inattentive, and the menu concise, everything was delicious! Especially good was the roasted chicken with chanterelles. The bar is also chic and cheery. We were happy to see plenty of people of color enjoying this spot as so many upscale restaurants seem subtly (or not) to discourage a non-white clientele. This speaks well of Winsome management.
We already have our third reservation.
expensive food that was basically bad diner food. greasy.
The place and service is really good. Very friendly. The eggs and potatoes came lukewarm though. There was confusion in the kitchen. And there were hordes of flies sitting on food, which I have never seen before in the restaurant anywhere.
Spaghetti Sunday was a blast. Salad, pasta, and dessert for $20! Can’t beat it.
Spaghetti Sunday is the best deal in town, the selections and food are spectacular. Overall service is excellent.
Sunday spaghetti is the best deal in town. Get the word out.
Was not a fan of this place. Server was friendly but food took long time and was not good. Would not go back here again.
Pretty good spot! Went for the 3-course pre-fixe meal. The appetizer was good, entree could have been better, dessert was freaking great. The wait time between courses was kind of long. But, I'll definitely go back. Rad space and good price.
Mediocre food in a beautiful setting.
Great food very nice staff. It was a nice relaxing evening. Hope to get back soon
Delightfully charming patio with a great soundtrack to boot! Relaxing atmosphere with very knowledgeable wait staff.
Awesome food and service. Sunday spaghetti night is a great bargain.
Came to winsome for a friends birthday celebration and food delayed longer than 30mins... when the birthday girls meal came out it was super late and was not as good as it was the first time we came here.. green tahini sauce was way too tangy and bitter... service started out well then waitress got lost and when looking around for her to ask her for our meal ETA nowhere to be found and some guy went to find out where the food was and brought 2 (chia bowls with not all ingredients described on the menu) of 3 meals. Sorry but I will not come back to eat at winsome anymore!!!
Great value and selection for Sunday spaghetti. The food and service was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit.
We were late to our reservation and called the restaurant, but no one answered (we assumed because it was busy). But when we walked inside, it was not, and the staff were talking amongst themselves. We were not greeted, and had to approach an employee. We received careless service throughout. The food was mediocre.
Fantastic Sunday spaghetti deal for $20. Server and food was wonderful. Great neighborhood gem.
We loved the Sunday spaghetti special. Fantastic deal at $20. Service was fa. Great neighborhood joint.
Third visit for brunch. Food great as always. Service was very good. Winsome is consistently awesome for brunch.
Food and ambiance are good; service was mediocre. A lot of the seating is outside, and it was drizzling; the restaurant was not close to adequately prepared to handle the reservations and get people seated outside under umbrellas, even though it was Mother's Day and they clearly had way more reservations than they could seat inside. Once we were seated (at the counter), it was hard to get someone to take our order or get silverware. The food was good, and the servers were friendly when they eventually came.
Parking is lousy...walk a block for paid parking?? What were they thinking? All in all the experience was not worth the bother. Food is average.
Made a reservation for Mother's Day brunch. It was a cold overcast day, so the restaurant was thrown and overwhelmed by the demand by patrons to eat indoors. Instead of gently encouraging people to eat on the patio under the heat lamps, the hostess seemed put out and irritated by the whole thing and sat my party of three at 2-top, even after we asked to move elsewhere (the place was nearly empty at 8:45). No big deal, really. A young bored 20-something hostess is common in LA, but on a special occasion like Mother's Day, a gift I made reservations for my family, I would hope that the place would make more of an effort.
Winsome's menu is limited, but almost everything we ordered was delish. ... lovely branzino and terrific short ribs bolognese. The mushroom dish was a touch too salty as it got cool, but still lovely. The ambiance was pleasant but the music was unnecessarily noisy in an empty restaurant. The problem was the service. Super slow. And the place was empty. It appeared that the staff was socializing . It took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Another 20 to even place an order, and then after we ate.... another 20 minutes to get the waitress and then after we ordered it took ages for the dessert to arrive. ???? Something is off. But this place has potential if they get their service/cook staff coordinated.
My meal was delicious and I enjoyed the atmosphere at Winsome. I'll definitely be back here in the future.
I heard nice things about it but was very disappointed by the food , preparation and quality
Nearly perfect except for the loud music. Rap doesn't seem fit for a dining experience.
i think the only downside to our visit was out waiter... not very friendly (wouldn't even smile)
my best friend and i had the breakfast and the fried chicken sandwich - both were amazing and the chef is fantastic at mixing unexpected flavors. also, don't forget to order their specialty potato chips!
It wasn't a busy night, but the service was not great. Our server seemed very distracted. Two wines that we ordered off the menu weren't available, but she couldn't recommend another wine in their place. So, we ended up drinking what the bartender poured for us, and when we asked for another two glasses (of two different wines), they didn't have any more of either???
I liked my meal, but my friend wasn't crazy about his. The space is SO cute. The outside patio looks adorable. Wish the food was jusssst a little bit better to make up for the weird service (and unusually unavailable wine list!).
We booked a table through opentable, but weren't seated till 35 min after our reservation. To be fair it was packed for a weeknight so they may have been understaffed. Though even after things settled down the wait service was inattentive. Food was pretty unremarkable, but the ambiance is good. Won't be going again for dinner service, but would consider sitting at the bar for a drink and an appetizer before heading out to dinner somewhere else.
Have been here twice now. Once for brunch. Once for dinner. Both visits were outstanding. The food is phenomenal. SO easy to recommend!
I've been coming to Winsome for several times! Though I don't live in the neighborhood.. The food and the service is outstanding. The interior is done beautifully.. Love the patio as well.
I was one of 4 people at the bar, one of 4 people total in the restaurant at happy hour around 6pm. No staff members were there to greet me... I had to go grab my own menus from the front hostess desk. The bartender ignored me for about 8 minutes, scrolling through her phone behind the bar, before asking if I needed any help. I got attitude when I placed my order, now trying to put it in before happy hour ended. And then I was surprised when it seemed like there was still no wait staff to attend to my friends and I once they arrived. I was never offered a glass of water, napkins, etc. I really want to love this spot - it's a hidden gem and then food was really food! But the service has GOT to be improved!
Great food. Great service (Nate is awesome). Great ambience. I'll be back!
The restaurant is super cute and the food is always great. I've been to Windsome several times and had wonderful meals each time. Didn't like our server though. After our plates were cleared he plopped our check on the table almost immediately and didn't even bother to ask if we wanted to order anything else. It's not like we were squatting, just 4 friends catching up over brunch and we were out in an hour and a half. The restaurant was not crowded. Plenty of available tables and no one waiting to be seated (I checked because I was so bothered by his hastiness). I don't know why we were so rushed during a Sunday Brunch.
Had a great easter brunch. Food was excellent, service was very good. Highly recommended for brunch.
We had our family Easter brunch there this morning, and the whole experience was great. Thanks for a lovely morning!
Service and food are always excellent at Winsome. Love the atmosphere, always greeted with a smile and have only great things to say about every time I’ve been there, which has been quite a few! 😋
A little hard to find because it is actually off Sunset on White Knoll Drive. A favorite, beautifully prepared, imaginative food from a somewhat limited menu. Commodious quiet and tasteful al fresco dining, known for brunch but wonderful for dinner.
