Fun fact—there’s no Winnie or Ethel here! This charming diner is the brainchild of life and business partners Aaron Lee and Mal Gott. After winning The Great Las Vegas Coffee Shop Giveaway in 2023 (like a local Shark Tank for foodies!), the duo brought their shared vision to life in the heart of Las Vegas.

At Winnie & Ethel’s, every dish tells a story. Our food is crafted from scratch by award-winning chef Aaron Lee, honored in the Las Vegas Weekly 40 Under 40. Whether you’re digging into our fan-favorite Diner Breakfast, savoring the tender flavors of our Pot Roast French Dip, or indulging in Malted Pancakes or Waffles, every bite is made with love and a nod to classic diner nostalgia.

The drinks were 10/10 Food: For me my Mary chicken chicken was too salty , so for me it was 2/10 . I couldn’t finish, I tried . The deviled eggs was a bit too spicy , even as a person of “culture” ( Hispanic ) 5/10 Boyfriend’s meal was too bland , he gave his a 2/10 . He preferred mine . Service : 9/10 Only because I felt a slight sarcasm that I didn’t appreciate. Sure my review may sound corny or ridiculous but it’s my honest take on the place . A little overpriced for the food not even being that great . this counts as one of those overhyped places. Oh and I had reserved this table as a birthday occasion, did we get a recognition, nope but did another table did right next to us for a birthday , YES ?? I’m not sure if it’s a maitre’d or server fault , but I sure did bring my license . Overall , this place was a 6/10 .

Made reservation and was immediately seated, ordered Mimosas great. Food poorly cooked. Eggs undercooked, sausage tasted horrible, chicken fried steak tough, gravy too thick and had no taste, home fries were chunks of potatoes. You need to send you cook to the south to learn southern cooking! I'm from the south!

Charles is great! This was our first trip and we had brunch. We are locals and will be back. My only criticism is that everything needed a touch of salt. I did notice a lot of older clientele, so perhaps they go light on salt for that reason. Salt can absolutely be added, not taken away. We can't wait to try dinner.

So, my friend that lives nearby was so excited when Open Table presented this place as an option for us for lunch on a weekend. We didn’t bother to proceed to make a reservation because it showed several tables available. But when we arrived, we learned it would be 40 minutes until we could be seated. We departed, but as a last ditch effort, we tried open table once more after getting in the car and successfully booked a table for 10 minutes later. Their menu is fun and full of lots of options for both lunch and breakfast during the day. We both chose lunch options and my friend enjoyed one of the best French dips she has ever had. I dealt with a way too cheesy turkey melt without the bacon that I had ordered after the waiter suggested it. There was too little other protein to offset that much cheese. And the kale salad looked beautiful, but the leaves were way too big to manage in the salad. So, I would be willing to try again, but not the turkey melt or kale salad!

My food experience was not good. My husband food was greasy and not edible. My mother in laws pancakes were cold. They recooked the pancakes so they would be hot and they came back undone. I didn’t eat much of my food but had a stomach ache immediately after eating the little bit I did. For our troubles the manager took $50 off of the bill and it still totaled to a $50 tab for three people.

Excellent food and portions! I have been twice! Hostess IS terrific very friendly and accommodating. Their menu is limited for those traveling on a more health conscious path . But what they prepare is terrific. 4 stars is because I had asked for very light cheese on my frittata and it didn't come out that way. Btw, my wife's dishes and sides were fabulous!!
