   First time at Wink wink lounge, we went for Mother's Day. Loved the decor and vibe of the place. I order the lobster eggs benedict, which was delicious, however others at our table had food come out cold. I didn't care for the self-service bottomless mimosa's as at times there was no champagne open. Overall, I would definitely recommend. Wait staff were excellent.

   Don’t get the kale salad. The menu says “chopped” but it’s actually big leaves of hard kale that are very hard to chew. The grilled mahi add-on was good. The skinny margarita was $18!!!! Such a rip-off. So my bill for a kale salad, grilled mahi, and one margarita was over $40!! Lol. Not worth it. The place was dead at 6pm on a Friday so I think they need to rethink their concept.

   Wink wink is honestly a cute spot, however we were a little disappointed when we got there ( it was a very slow night and we were celebrating my friend resignation so needed all the vibes lol) and we decided not to have dinner. The drinks were good and would be back for a the full experience in the future.

    Wink Wink at the Sarasota Modern Hotel is an upscale casual restaurant/bar with a varied menu of creative selections. The food was tasty and well presented. The wine list was limited but with a few good wines. The service was attentive and friendly. The space is stylish and inviting. If you are in the Rosemary District of Sarasota, Wink Wink is a good choice for a meal or you can stop by for a drink.

    Food was uneven. Too many different dishes. Brussels and peppers were great. Smash burger was meh. Mocktail Mule was great. Buns were interesting in concept but very doughy. Katsu was great with the soup. Figure out which things you really do well and stick with it. Vending machine was so freaking awesome!

    It is in modern hotel - the valet parking is $14 but the best and safest option. The food was good and great mix of flavors. The service was slow and the open concept was loud. But the food was great and drinks were good (small selection of beer) but good selection on the mixed drinks side. The Brussels sprouts were a big hit and everyone said they would go back for just those and the Mac and Cheese and Ox Tail alone!!

    Can't believe that it is so easy to get a table in this cool little gem of a restaurant. Great bar, super cool decor, really friendly and helpful staff. Some creative dishes on the menu but also more traditional dishes for the less adventurous. Highly recommend.

    We had dinner at Wink Wink before a performance at the Van Wezel. Was great to be able to park once at the theater and walk to Wink Wink. We loved Wink Wink’s hip vibe. The menu was inventive and the food delicious. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts as an app and Wascally Wabbit as entree. Cheesecake dessert was outstanding. Very fun.

    Beware. Even though the food was excellent and the service was outstanding, we were very surprised that when we valet the car they charged us $15 to park our car. What’s strange is there doesn’t appear to be any nearby parking and the valet is right out front so like most restaurants you would go to they have valet. We would just tip the valet. I think this is a terrible policy for a hotel/restaurant if they want to bring more people in to dine in the dining room, which was very good. This is a huge mistake and us for one will not be returning because of this very annoying policy

    Menu is very cool and the drinks were great. The food was decent but lacked proper, basic seasoning. This was our first time there so may have just been the kitchen staff that evening.

    Small plates were awesome. I sat on the patio which was gorgeous on a warm night. Inside had the feel of a cool lounge with good food and drinks. Brought out an eclectic crowd who seemed to enjoy the variety of options at a neighborhood restaurant with foodie cred.

    I look forward to going back and giving it a second go because it really is a gem of a spot. My only disappointment was the Buddha Belly dish. The Tofu was severely over-seasoned with sodium and the bed of Quinoa, papaya salad, and other veggies it was arranged on top of had absolutely no seasoning. It was 100% bland and flavorless. Everything else was a hit. Great cocktails, and our apps and other entre were on point. The service was excellent as well.

    What a wonderful change from the first time we went. This time we were greeted nicely by Juliana who accommodated our request to sit outdoors. Restaurant was well staffed. Excellent service by our waitstaff Cocktails we’re good. Bao chicken was delicious and the bun was warm. Our NY cut steak was very generous. Done to how we like it with good flavors. Our guest, a neighbor was delighted and remarked that “we are so happy to have such a good restaurant in our neighborhood. “ My husband loved the fresh sea bass specialty. Of course the French dessert with goat cheese on fig was out of this world. We shall return. Place was happy but quite loud inside.

    It was pretty empty so the service should’ve been excellent. However, we only got 1 round of drinks in and waited long periods between getting checked on. They haven’t been open long so I’m sure it’s a work in process. The vibes were really cool. Food and drinks were amazing! Will for sure give them another chance.

    We went to Wink Wink Modern Lounge for date night. We had the brussel sprout dish as the appetizer. It was amazing! I ordered the poké and my partner ordered the tofu. Again, amazing! I give the food a solid 5 stars. Only room for improvement would be the pace of service. We ordered glasses and wine and they took forever to arrive. Overall…great experience!

    First visit. Last visit. The restaurant is cute. The food was very good. But, the service was abysmal. We literally had to get up from our seats and find a server not once not twice but three times. No one ever apologized. I was really looking forward to dinner with old friends, and it was a disappointment to all of us.

    Our service was incredibly slow. I was super excited to eat here bc the menu is hilarious and clever. The food was just ok and drinks took forever to arrive. I had requested outside and was inside where the noise level was so loud you can’t hear your guests. Not going back.

    A very unique décor with a fun menu. Sadly our server had no idea what the items on the menu were and had negative things to say about the offerings and how it affected her food allergies! What should have been a fun meal at a unique venue was ruined by the surprising uninformed server.

    Was quick met by the hostess and I said we had a reservation in 30 minutes and want to have a cocktail at the bar. The bar was slightly busy. It took a while for a bar tender to greet us, and then immediately dropped menus in front of us. After about 10 minutes we got drink orders in and explained we had reservations and and were just having a cocktail. The bar had the appearance of not operating like a well oiled machine and found out two of the three were pretty new so just figuring out where everything is. The waiter at the table was very nice and helped us order a appetizer and main course and his selections were spot on and nicely done. We ordered 1 salad to split and they were nice enough to split in the back and both were plenty. Food overall was good the menu had a fun way of naming the entrées.

    The brussel sprouts and mahi mahi were excellent and the overall menu is very innovative. Atmosphere is kind of typical hotel restaurant… nothing to rave about there. We are locals but there is no parking nearby and the hotel charges $14 for valet even if you just go in for dinner or lunch. Staff said they can’t change those rules though it’s been a point of contention for other diners too.
