We opted for the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Although the food was excellent, the wine pairings were disappointing. I should have ordered a bottle off the list as I felt they skimped on the quality. Also, they pack the diners in too tightly and was closer to the party next to me than my date across the table from me. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would not go back though...too many better alternatives for alot less money.

A lot of fancy words to describe menu items. Appetizer size entrees. Hard to find restaurant. Coffee and water were great. We went out of curiosity. Don’t eat here. You will regret it.

To be fair the first time I ate there was fantastic... enough to trust it for a Valentine’s Day dinner... not up to par, rushed , rude waitress, menu was very one dimensional, mediocre, bread was good wine pours were generous... so the stuff they didn’t make were the best parts

Really great spot here in Austin and love that they support the local farms. Only one con to that which I will go into later. We made a reservation for 8pm on a Friday night and the place was busy as one would expect given it is a small restaurant. We started with a spinach salad and butter lettuce salad and for entrees had the hangar steak and halibut all paired with a bottle of Pinot. We ended with the dessert trio (creme brûlée, lemon meringue, and el Rey chocolate cake) paired with some coffee. Everything was delicious but the things that stood out were the halibut and the creme brûlée. They do offer a 5 and 7 course chefs tasting menu which you can choose to pair with wine if you would like. It is full table participation so we opted out since my wife doesn't do duck which was a part of it. Service was fantastic and attentive and we very much enjoyed the atmosphere.

So why only 4 stars? .... My wife had a little critter come crawling out from her butter lettuce salad which they happily replaced. Given everything comes from the farm and is organic I'm not too surprised but I was a bit surprised they didn't take the salad off the bill or at least give us the dessert on the house. It is a pricey restaurant and that would have let us leave a little happier.

All around a great experience though and delicious food!

I've been wanting to try Wink for a while and I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. The food is fantastic and they have a great wine selection. The dining room is small so it can get a little loud during busy times like Friday night dinner. We had a lovely dinner and our waitress was extremely attentive. Will definitely be going back.

Everything was perfect. Definitely recommend the tasting menu. The entire staff was top notch but Brian in particular was outstanding. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.

Great food and atmosphere. Not really sure the tasting menu price was worth it for the food.

Wink was my first experience with a tasting menu, and they certainly did not disappoint. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about wine, and our server was incredibly helpful and provided great explanations to help us find some lovely beverages. It was an all around, fantastic experience and enjoyable environment.

We decided to go to Wink despite the mixed reviews. The restaurant was a little hard to find, in a not too nice neighborhood. The service was excellent. We were surprised that no cocktails were available. Only beer and wine. We ordered the standard 5 course menu which sounded very good and one vegetarian menu as well.
The food was disappointing and the portion size too small. Very expensive restaurant. I wouldn’t go back.

My wife and I have visited Wink for several anniversary celebrations. The latest was a celebration of the 24th anniversary of our first "non-date." It has a special significance for us, because it began a process of becoming very dear friends, which led to becoming a couple. Wink makes it a point to make your special occasion special to them as well. Every detail is carefully considered and your enjoyment of the dining experience is their singular concern. We will definitely be back again.

Walking in I knew this would be amazing just by the smell, and it didn’t disappoint. I wanted like everything on the menu but settled for the seven course. Scallops won the year

We had a lovely time at Wink. We were celebrating our anniversary and Wink personalized our menu to make the celebration extra special. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed all the dishes. The creativity, presentation and most importantly the taste were outstanding. This is not just a special occasion restaurant, it is a lovely neighborhood restaurant with wonderful ambiance where you can hear your table mate. We look forward to dining at Wink again soon.

Excellent food and wine. Small space so have to deal with noise and outdoor weather every time door opens.
