Fabulous as usual!!
Been coming to Wink for 10 years
Simply one of the best in Austin
The food was delicious and beautiful. However it was insanely expensive ($200 for 2), 2.5 hours for a 5 course meal, and really loud. We were at a two person table and, once the restaurant filled up, we could hear each other. It is shocking to me how loud Americans are in restaurants.
If you go, come early before it fills up (our first hour was fine) and order al a carte.
Great service, delicious food, welcoming atmosphere
Overall the food was good, we were a bit disappointed with the duck, but it was definitely not bad. It’s a bit too cozy, but again it’s a business and they’re doing the best with what they have. Service was superior, wine was excellent. My date loved it!
Some of the best food in Austin. Great service and great flavor with the 5-course tasting menu. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion!
Wink was amazing from the food to the service to the personalized Birthday menu signed by the staff.
Overall good. - I had an early reservation. And ordered a 5 course tasting menu The staff was attentive at first but after tables began filling. They seemed to be a bit short handed - a tasting menu with wine pairing should be special - not sure if got complete value - is had to wait a couple of times for example to ask for bread to dip into the muscles. Another course they served the food course without the wine pairing had to flag them down. - cost $180. Can get better service with other competitors for the price - food was very good but not excellent - couple of dishes were a bit dry. Seemed to sit maybe under the heat bulb for a bit. Everyone nice and pleasant
Only stays in business because it is So Great! It is both where I go after football games and where We wanted to go for anniversary dinner where they met us with a custom anniversary menus! Happy hour is a crazy good too.
Hands down our favorite restaurant. Never fails to please everyone at the table.
Highly recommended! It's on my top 10 in Austin (and I've been here 55 years).
Delicious, beautifully presented food, great service!
The food was excellent and the wine paired with it was excellent as well.
I was hoping they would anticipate that we were vegan and vegetarian by giving us the correct menus when seating us. I wrote it in the reservation notes and reiterated it on the phone when I confirmed the reservation, though we were early so maybe they just didn't get a chance to.
The veg/vegan menu didn't have the 7 course, only 5 course which was amazing, but at first news disappointing. I know it's got to be hard to handle all food preferences though, so don't let any of that turn you off if you are vegan/veg.
Everything was delicious except for the escargot. It seemed a little charred with very little liquid in the cups. The amuse bouche was a very nice way to begin our dining experience. Overall the diner was exceptional and the pacing and waitperson were great, as usual!
Good food, good wine, quiet restaurant, but portions were too small.
First time back in over 5 years. Great as always. Our favorite restaurant in all of Austin.
Menu limited. Hostess cranky. Food unimpressive. Salad awful.
Portions rediculously small. Tasting menu unimaginative. Ambience on a scale of 1 to 10 -- a 1.
We really wanted to like Wink, and the service was really great, but for the price - you can do so much better. We each did the 5 course tasting menu with wine, and the high points were certainly the duck breast and steak courses, but everything else wasn’t memorable or worth getting again. For $130 plus a person, you either need to kill it on the flavors or at least make you feel like you don’t need to hit up another restaurant 10 mins after you leave. Hopefully they up their game or figure out their portion sizes...
Absolutely the best
Ended up eating in the bar area. Fernando was awesome! Food was great and unique. Hidden gem in Austin. You won’t be disappointed!!
I went for my birthday and it was so special! I have to say... for a young adult it is definitely pricey but I’ve had my eyes on this place for awhile because I love that the menu changes everyday and they offer tasting menus that cater to every diet. Expensive, yes, but it was worth every penny! I let them know I was celebrating and they printed ‘Happy Birthday Audra’ on the menu and the chefs and servers signed a copy for me to keep! ❤️ Every course was so flavorful and fresh -it left me saying WOW after every bite. The server was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable when asking questions. The wine list was extensive and impressive! There’s a lot of new, trendy restaurants to try in Austin but if you are looking for a classy and established fine dining experience then look no further than Wink!
Another amazing experience at Wink! We had our first anniversary dinner here and just had our fifth anniversary dinner here the other night. Menu was amazing. Service was amazing. We even got a visit by the owner/chef to our table. Looking forward to the next time we can come back for a great meal.
Excellent restaurant with high-quality food. Service was fantastic. Love that you can bring your own wine.
Very good food and changing menus . Very nice and friendly service.
Wink has a lovely atmosphere, excellent food, and great service.
Always a favorite place hidden away in a shopping center
The food was good and our waiter was great, but there are other restaurants I would prefer to patron at this price point.
The food was outstanding, the could not have been more atrocious.
One of the best restaurants in Austin!
The tasting was delicious and the wines were perfectly paired. Awesome service from our guy Tim! What an enjoyable dinner at this beautiful farm to table concept. We will absolutely visit when in Austin again!
Great service, great wine list, good food. Only thing missing was the ambiance due to the weird motif/layout. Decor didn't really match the rest of the experience, but overall definitely recommended.
Outstanding tasting menu for such a reasonable price!! Definitely a repeat!!
We took a young couple who just got engaged, and Wink personnel REALLY made it a celebration!
They even left them with a menu signed by all staff....and let them know "congratulations" many times.
It really made a nice impression on all 4 of us and especially made the newly engaged couple feel special.
Wink is one of our favorite places for special occasions!
Although food and service was good, the noise level was way too loud so impossible to have conversations.
Always phenomenal food. On this occasion, our server, Mary, was amazing. We wanted for nothing.
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner last Friday night at Wink. We were on our way after dinner
to a concert at The Long Center. Wink is a favorite restaurant and we will be back! ❤️
This has been our favorite place for special occasions for many years. The five coarse tasting menu is our favorite! They accommodate me on a couple of things I can't eat and always make it perfect! You can also add wine pairings which come with each coarse with a brief description.
Great food and well above average Austin fare but not outstanding. We have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world and while this place is nice there are establishments which have outstanding food at comparable price points. The location is ugly (tucked away into a corner of a strip mall next to a dry cleaners). Inside the décor is pleasant but there is no view and the space is tight (less than 2' from your neighbors' table which is a little too intimate in my view and makes it difficult to have a conversation). Our waitress was excellent and attentive.
We settled for the 5-course chef's tasting menu and chose a bottle on Rose to complemet the food. All of the dishes were good except for the hanger steak which was rather blah. The deserts were excellent.
This was a gift from our children. My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful evening.
