This is a really excellent place. Ben’s combination of flavours and use of local ingredients are star quality and the vibe is relaxed and personal. My fave place in Hastings

We had an absolutely fantastic evening out at Winifred's, amazing flavours throughout and such attentive service, in a cosy room off the courtyard. We demolished the marmite butter before I even had time to take a photo 👌🏻👌🏻. For me the highlights were the 3-cheese dumplings and the delicate grapefruit meringue pie, but so hard to choose. This is the sort of cooking that deserves attention, and will surely get recognition soon. As noted by others, Ben is such a humble guy and really cares about the food and where he sources his ingredients. One to watch, we'll definitely be back

Just brilliant a refreshing dining experience with passion for what they do, delicious ingredients beautifully presented and an exceptional but small team.. if your local you won't regret and if it's a journey to get to them you'll love the experience, I travelled from london and was joy disappointed well done Winifred’s

Good energy in the room. Innovative menu. Everything we had was really well cooked and presented. Caeser salad; scallops w cauliflower and punchy sauce. Lamb breast. All very enjoyable. Standout was sourdough w marmite butter, yes you read that right. Sourdough w marmite butter. I'd like to see a few more options on the wine list.

We had an out of this world meal at Winifred’s, chef Ben is a miracle worker with flavours and creative food combinations; subtle, tasty, ingenious. I don’t want to spoil the pleasure or anticipation of other diners by listing what we ate: suffice it to say that it was all fantastic accompanied by some excellent English wine and great table service. Thank you, Winifred’s😍
