Wine Cellar Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Food was very tasty,. Good selection of entree salads. Good wine list, reasonably priced. Service was good. We were there at the height of lunch hour and the noise level was borederline difficult. After the crowd thinned out it became much more enjoyable to stay and chat, so we ordered desert - which turned out to be an absolutely yummy apple pie.
We came here because we received a gift certificate. Family of four for a Sunday brunch/lunch. We had no expectations and were pleasantly surprised. The staff and our waiter were super friendly. The food was REALLY good - we ordered the calamari for an appetizer (crispy and cooked perfectly), the shredded BBQ beef sandwich, portobello mushroom sandwich, French dip sandwich and the cellar special (two huge pancakes, eggs and bacon). The sandwiches came with salad and fries (regular or sweet potato). All the food was excellent and the portions were huge. We were totally stuffed. Hubby and I also got some bloody Mary's which were very tasty. We were surprised with our bill, just over $100. Definitely great value considering the quantity and quality of our meal. Would highly recommend it you are ever in the area.
Honestly not very good. Had better expectations for dining out. Waited 75 minutes for. Salad that had nothing that needed to be cooked! French onion soup was burnt. We ended up getting food boxed to go bc it took so long. Waiter was nice and comped our appetizer and didn’t want to take money for a tip. It wasn’t his fault but very disappointed
Always satisfies. Excellent wine list, varied menu and easy, professional service. Food is excellent and always a wonder at how the chefs can turn out such fine meals in such a small kitchen. Dinner is a bit pricey but consistent with the other fine restaurants in Los Gatos. Been going to the Wine Cellar for years for special occasions or a nice patio lunch with my special lady. The fish tacos are the best. This last dinner was excellent and praised by all in our party. Will be back in a couple of months for another special dinner.
Patio lunch is a nice place to grab a bite to eat, weather pemittinf. Service is slow and they have to go down to get your food and drink. The food is always good and Ruben sandwich is to die for! I have been here for lunch many times and food is always good and delicious.
We were very disappointed by the quality of the service. When we arrived I let the hostess know that we were there for my daughter’s bday & ordered a tiramisu to be brought at the end of our meal. The dessert never arrived and then our check appeared. I left our table to inquire and the response of the hostess was dismissive and unapologetic. The fondu & calamari appetizers were good, but due to the poor service our family will never be returning.
