Wine Cellar Restaurant
It was great. We went for Sunday Brunch. It was very casual and relaxing. The food was great and the server was outstanding. He didn't try to rush us and was attentive to our needs. What more could you ask for?
Overall, it was a lovely afternoon!
Very nice to eat al fresco. Summer at it’s best. Food was entirely decent and our waiter was appropriately attentive.
Wonderful! The food was great, service was nice, overall we had a great experience. We will be back!
Most amazing restaurant ever. 10/10 and I absolutely loved it.
Service at the bar was excellent and The abalone is to die for. Pair it with a selection from the good wine menu and you're set!
Easily one of our favorite restaurants in Los Gatos. It never disappoints!!!
Our entrees were good. The French onion soup was very salty as was the steak with pepper sauce.
Love the variety of the menu. There is something for everyone.
Very nice dinner and reasonably priced. We ate out doors on the patio. Service was professional an competent. WE shared heirloom tomato salad that was good. I had the stuffed pork chop that was delicious and my wife the beef ribs. We were both very satisfied by the preparation. We each took a container home for a delicious lunch of left overs. I would go back and do recommend it.
Food and ambiance was excellent - server was prompt and polite
We always love the outdoor patio at the Wine Cellar on warm evenings. One of my favorite places for early dinners in Los Gatos.
Although I have had a 5 star experience there in the past, this time, not so much. Our server (same as last time) got several things very wrong, including dinner order and cocktails. He just wasn't listening.
Then, When I asked to take half my dinner home, the guy who packaged it left off the delicious sauce. So basically I got half a piece of salmon and white rice, with all the great flavor missing. Overall, this was not a good experience and it'll be a while before we go back.
I love the Wine Cellar. The menu offers so much diversity and wonderful choices. Our server Garfield was personable and efficient.
I love the Wine Cellar!
Excellent food and service as usual!
Our go-to restaurant for special occasions. It was my daughter's 30th birthday and they didn't disappoint. We started with the fried calamari, which was crisp, tender and tasty. We also ordered a bottle of sauvignon blanc and enjoyed a glass with our starter prior to ordering. The sea bass was amazing, with a lovely crisp outside, tender succulent inside, served on a bed of white beans in a savory sauce of some sort. Green beans were done perfectly (not crunchy!, not mushy!). The rib eye was perfectly cooked to medium rare with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts - enough for a second and possibly third meal! The stuffed pork chop had a lovely stuffing, and a sweet savory glaze. My daughter had the tortellini with chicken and noted that it was a perfect, comfort-food meal. Since it was her birthday they brought her an ice cream sundae with a candle. I didn't have to say anything, but had included that tidbit of info in the reservation. All in all, a lovely meal, in a beautiful outdoor setting.
WAY too loud at once lunch rush arrived. Otherwise, all good.
My girl friends and I have eating here for many years and we are never disappointed.
Everything on the menu is yummy, the wait staff all friendly.
Fabulous meal celebrating our son’s graduation.
Very nice brunch, graduation celebration with family and friends. We will be back!
Garfield was very attentive and very personable. We had a good time celebrating two birthdays!
The Wine Cellar is an outstanding place for a nice dinner. They are consistent and always deliver a nice experience. The patio upstairs is nice when it’s warm.
We love the Wine Cellar! We had dinner with nine adults. Everything was delicious! Calamari was cooked perfectly, Poke Tower was delicious, Stuffed Poblano Pepper, Double Shrimp salad (I have every time I go, split with my Husband), Beet Salad, Fisherman's Pasta, Ribeye Steak, Filet Mignon Steak, New York Steak and of course Dessert Fondue.
Excellent restaurant with great food. Food is always outstanding as well as outside ambiance
Movie business meeting
The food has gone down hill in my opinion, the chicken on the Caesar for the additional price making our salads nearly $20 each ... 3 ice teas, a $75 lunch is a joke for what we got and how understaffed patio is.
WHEN YOU HAVE THE BEST AND ONLY LARGE PATIO IN Los Gatos, MAYBE ONLY GIVING WAIT STAFF 3-4 TABLES IS APPROPRIATE SO THEY CAN GIVE EXCELLENT SERVICE.
THIS WAS WITH CLIENTS I HAVE NOT SEEN IN 40 YEARS! AMBIENCE WAS GREAT BUT FOOD AND SERVICE STINKS...REALLY 3 RD TIME IN MO.
My girl friend and I had a lovely lunch celebrating my birthday, sitting outside and enjoying the gorgeous weather. We come for lunch at least once a month and now in the summer, I am at The Wine Cellar almost every week and sometimes twice in one week. Moses is my favorite waiter and he always makes our lunch special with his fabulous service and his wonderful smile. He is the best waiter at the Wine Cellar!
Love the wine celler!
Best restaurant in Los Gatos!! Our #1 place to eat! Great service and great food!!
It is always a delight to go to Wine Cellar. You can always depend on good food, good service and get the best quality of what you should get when you go to a restaurant.
This review is for their Brunch experience. The food was okay, and over priced for what it was. Most brunch entrees came with access to the "buffet" which seemed to be an assortment of Costco muffins and pastries along with some fruit. There was a small girl who was touching each pastry and putting it back so we declined to try them. I would maybe recommend this to for a larger party with children, and would not recommend this for younger folks looking for a fun brunch spot in LG.
Always wonderful! Even on a rainy Sunday morning. Food was good atmosphere was cozy!
The duck confit is delicious, everything was wonderful, service was fabulous
We had a family luncheon here for my son's 21st birthday. The service was excellent and food is very good with a wide variety of choices on the menu. The restaurant has very attractive decor with a wine cellar theme. It's not too loud to have conversation. They allowed us to bring in our own cake and they sliced it at no charge. We saw their great private party rooms and decided we'll plan my son's graduation party here next year.
The food was good, albeit overpriced. But our dinner was not enjoyable. While waiting for half of our party to get to the restaurant, my wife and I heard many staff complaining loudly and cursing about stupid customers and about how they hate the restaurant.
After we were seated we were rushed to order as well.
We won’t be going back
I have been going to Wine Cellar for over 10-years this is the first time our service was bad. My wife's crab salad was on the counter for over 30-min and when she told the waiter, he said he will get her a new one, he walked away and brought the same one back. We ordered 2-Rib eye steaks and when I get the bill I noticed he charged me for 3. I called him on it and he was like it was not a big deal. Wine Cellar is one of our favorite restaurants and I am sure this waiter and this service was a fluke, I hope.
We visited on mother’s day and sat on the patio. The server was delayed in taking and delivering our order but the food was absolutely amazing! The portion sizes were generous and the ambiance was great.
First visit and it was worth it. The food was really good - the portion sizes were more than enough. The make-up of the plates was good and the service was good as well. Will definitely go there again!
We had a great time. My date was beautiful an we thoroughly enjoyed our food
We had a lovely late lunch on the patio. Everyone really enjoyed their food and wine. They have a great wine and beer list. We had the french dip sandwich which was really stuffed with roast beef and a salad.
