This distinctive restaurant is located on Jacksonville's Southbank. With its French Country atmosphere, Wine Cellar is loaded with charm. An outdoor brick paved garden set beneath a majestic oak tree is the perfect place for a romantic luncheon or dinner.
While constantly evolving with eclectic new world dishes, Classic Continental Cuisine excels here. To add regional flavor, local produce and indigenous fresh seafood have become integral elements of the recipes.
Wine Cellar is consistently rated as one of "Florida's Top 500 Restaurants"; as one of "Jacksonville's Top 25 Restaurants" and the wine list perennially wins the "Wine Spectator Award of Excellence".

The Wine Cellar has been and continues to be our favorite restaurant in Jacksonville. The food is exceptional as is the service. We love going there; it's a wonderful evening for us!
Service was impeccable! The food was so good and cooked to perfection!
Wine Cellar outdid themselves this time. They are always superb, excellent, and the top of the line. Their Covid sanitation procedures and social distancing protocols are excellent. Their waiters are fantastic, the venue is perfect for quiet dining and special occasions. There’s not a single thing I can say bad about Wine Cellar. The food was superb and every single person in our party of five agreed that their meal was just fantastic.
I can’t say enough good things about Wine cellar but if people do not patronize it and trust them, even if they eat in the outdoor dining area which is very cute, they are going to go out of business. Do not let it happen!!!
Birthday dinner, great service, good menu choices, well prepared food and cocktails, variety of wine choices...nice ambience.
The service was great and Gary was extremely attentive and experienced at what he does. Overall I would give them 4.5 stars. 110% would go back!
Wonderful and delicious
And this app can be obnoxious.
The food is always spectacular however the AC is not working properly and it's difficult to enjoy a fantastic meal when you are sweating onto the plate!
Excellent food & service !!
Wine Cellar has been a favorite since we first moved here 37 years ago. If you are venturing out during these trying times, I would highly recommend you try the Wine Cellar. Hopefully they will survive this mess.
It was fantastic love it always recommended to people to come there to eat
My birthday dinner was exceptional. From the food to the service; it was a five star experience.
Delicious food, peaceful setting!
Wine Cellar is probably my most favorite restaurant in Jacksonville. The food is always great, the service fabulous and the atmosphere spot on.
Perfect for a date. Cozy and quaint setting. Food was delicious along with drinks and dessert. Recommend the key lime pie, bread pudding, mojito and margarita.
We were tentative about eating inside but our table was very private and it was such a pleasure. We could talk with our friends and actually hear one another. The food was delicious and our waiter did not rush us. Taking a temperature at the door and spacing the tables really made us feel very safe and we look forward to another night out at this great restaurant!
This establishment is a hidden gem in Jacksonville. Anyone that has not experienced the most intimate restaurant in town is missing out. It is a little pricey but it is well worth it . You get what you pay for.
Leave the kids at home, please. This is not a place for little ones.
Got together with some friends that I had not seen in person for months. Our server Kay not only took great care of us she had a wonderful personality and added immensely to the evening. Food as usual was excellent.
So great to have a wonderful lunch at the Wine Cellar. Service was great and, as usual, the food was too. Glad to be able to eat out.
They say they are following CDC guidelines for dining but they were a bit slack. One waiter with a mask. Ours did not. They were seating people fairly close together too.
Covid-19 has forced the restaurant to downsize. That was good in that our group of three had a room of our own. It was bad in that the menu has been reduced. I had checked the menu on OpenTable and had chosen my order but the NY Strip was not on the menu. I chose the filet and that was fine. Food was delicious. Service was attentive and we are having leftovers tonight at home!
Very nice ambiance. Service was excellent and our meals were delicious.
The wine is always a great time. The food is delicious and the staff is always pleasant and accommodating.
It was such a pleasure dining at the Wine Cellar. It was our first outing since Valentine's Day. Other than having to move to a different room because of a two year old who kept screaming at the top of their lungs. Our waiter made the move simple. I feel like writing a blog on parents who take very young children to an upscale restaurant with no care for others who also want a quiet pleasurable experience. I know that baby sitters are expensive but if you can afford to eat the at Wine Cellar then you can afford a baby sitter. Our first attempt at dining out since February and it was lovely.
Michael was a great server. The food and ambience is always wonderful.
This place is ALWAYS top notch and the ambience, food & staff are very appreciative of their customers. Great place to impress and proves why they’ve been in business so long!!
As always, the food was excellent!! As one of our first ventures out to eat after 3 months of stay-at-home quarantine, I would have given the Wine Cellar an excellent rating all around except that we were quite surprised that the servers were not wearing masks. Ours was standing over us talking and bringing our meals without a mask. Another walked by with his mask pulled down at his neck. While there is natural division with multiple rooms within the restaurant, we were seated at table near the entrance of one room. While tables were spaced well within the room, the server had to walk by our table every time he wanted to serve us or any other table within the room. We were handed single use menus, but the wine list was in the usual leather folder. I used the hand sanitizer available at our table afterwards, but it had such a strong fragrance, I needed to make a trip to the rest room to wash it off. Our meal was excellent, but we were uncomfortable due to the lack of server masks. We will wait until transmission of the virus is less of a concern before we visit again.
Escargot, lobster, trio and of course the Keylime pie!!! Perfect
Great place to go with your favorite people. It's quiet enough that you can have a conversation but plenty of energy.
We had a wonderful time! The wine, the food, the atmosphere were all perfect! Always consistent fine dining!
Excellent in all respects, as always! Suggest people get out of their houses and apartments and condos and have a great meal!
this is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service is always good.
Ambiance and noise levels were good. We got a complimentary glass of sparkling beverage in honor of our anniversary. This was very kind. The server was nice, but not knowledgeable about the difference between whiskey and bourbon. Our old fashioned had mutilated (seemingly muddled) cherries and oranges. The server also proclaimed that my husband ordered his “favorite dish on the menu”. When I asked about a recommendation between two items, I got the canned response, “every item on the menu is fantastic”. My husband’s almond encrusted fish was heavily BREADED and tasted previously frozen. My salmon was dry and burnt on the bottom. Very disappointed.
This was our first time there and we loved the place everything was great!
Great food and wine selection. Great place for a special night out.
This has been a long time favorite for both lunch and dinner. Everything is always top rate and it's decor is charming. This is one of the few places to go and have a quiet meal.
Honestly not a fan. Food was not great. Service was though. This is what we call one and done
The food was delicious. The ambience was great. The service was amazing.
