   We went for dinner at the Wine and Sausage for dinner on a Sunday evening. Very impressed with the service and ambience and the food was well cooked and presented.

   Winchcombe wine and sausage was a lovely little break for us. The evening meal was very nice, lots to choose from and very fairly priced. All their wines they do by the glass which is perfect if you want to sample them all! hearty well cooked food. You will need to book as they do get very busy. We stayed over and although the evening meal was excellent, the breakfast was not. They forgot items from the full English. I requested something to be cooked in a certain way and it was not.

   Charming place but nothing more! Restaurant prices in a basic pub with the restaurant services! We waited a long time for the starters and had to send one of them back as it was so awful, I order a medium rare Sirloin and it came blue on one half and well done on the other half!

   Starter was really good, mushroom starter and soup were excellent, arrived within 15mins of our order. The main was very disappointing, roast dinner with no boiled potatoes and roast potatoes that were so well roasted you couldn't cut into them. The vegetables were perfectly cooked but lacked any seasoning. Fish dish well cooked but tasteless. It then took over 30 mins for staff to take dessert order (we had to ask), and the dessert arrived another 45mins after that. Some staff were rude.

   Lovely restaurant who catered for our group very well, with a nice a 'la carte menu, an incredible private dining room and attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the food. Food was wonderful, and very reasonable wines too. Highly recommended!

   Wonderful cosy relaxed atmosphere with log fire, the type of place you could just sit and enjoy all day. The sausage platter was good to share, followed by, belly of pork, very highly reccomended! The goats cheese wellington was also very good.

    If you are in the Cotswolds the White Hart Inn is worth a short detour. If you are already in Winchcombe then you have no excuse. A great selection of locally produced sausages served with onion gravy, as well as a wide range of other menu items, and some good value wines. All our food was excellent and I heard many complements from other diners. They are a busy pub though, and consequently some of the waiting staff can be a little impatient. Nevertheless a very enjoyable overall experience.
