Wilson Hardware Kitchen & Bar
Wilson Hardware is a multi-level contemporary American restaurant.
Our restaurant experience combines new concepts in food, beverage, entertainment and ambience. The spacious venue allows for several individual experiences in a variety of indoor and outdoor areas, including a rooftop bar and an outdoor patio.
Brunch first time and everyone was happy with their food. The monsieur hardware is delicious!
I asked the waiter for my bill it was me and my girlfriend and he bought one bill without asking me if I wanted to split the bill the food was just OK service just OK
Sat outside out front. Not much ambience compared to the rest of the establishment
The food and cocktails were delicious. And Ben, our server, was outstanding! We will definitely be back on our next visit to DC.
Wilson Hardware is a great place for brunch. I met a friend I hadn’t hung out with in a long tome, and the day was perfect. We sat outside on the patio, which is perfect for people-watching, drank hibiscus mimosas, and ate every morsel of our food. The service was great! I intend to go back very soon!
Service was slow, made a reservation yet was seated at a high top in the bar. Food was just okay. Seems like a decent place to just go grab a drink but wouldn’t bother eating there.
The food and service were excellent. I loved the hibuscus mimosas. Kamilla, our waitress was very nice and attentive. Alex, the manager came by and talked with us and gave us a sample of a new drink. We had the best time and the bathrooms were very clean.
I’d definitely come here again. Great service & the small plates for brunch were all delicious- we enjoyed the hash browns, omelette, eggs benedict, waffles, French toast & deviled eggs. Probably even better as an evening venue as has little natural light. Overall great.
Good food and service. Unfortunately they had a poor selection of beers
We had brunch at Wilson Hardware Kitchen and Bar. The service was incredible and the food was delicious.
Their drinks are awesome. Their food is mediocre and too expensive for what you actually get. And their credit card machine doesn’t work (this has happened twice now) and they make you write down your cc information
Wilson Hardware was a great spot to celebrate my birthday at! Came here for dinner and had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded amazing! Settled on the Avocado Burger and was so happy I did it was delicious! Also shared the corn fritters appetizer, which was very scrumptious! Would absolutely come back here for dinner again!
The food was up to par. Nothing special. Service was not good at all. The waitress checked in 3 times and the drinks were slow. The space is beautiful though.
The food was delicious. Service was slow. I think during our almost two hour brunch, we saw our waitress MAYBE three times. The food runners and bussers were incredibly helpful!
Service was slow but the were understaffed but apologized
Food was excellent
This is my second time at Wilson Hardware's brunch, and I seriously have not found a better place yet. Excellent food, great deal for bottomless, and a wonderful place for a group. Our friend group has a mix of vegetarians/meat eaters, and we were all full after our visit. Every round, someone ordered the deviled eggs and french toast. Can't wait to go back!
We had the best service from Molly who has traded her bartender gig for a server when they needed an extra set of hands! The manager was awesome and helpful when she came ovee to see how our experience at Wilson Kitchen &Bar were going. The food was unique but not so far outside the box as to be intimidating. We had the panzerotti, corn fritters and cauliflower shareables and they were quickly devoured. I had the short rib hash ans the only critic I had was it waa under seasoned for my tastes. I never add salt to meals when eating out or even after I have cooked at home, but I definitely had to add salt and a little pepper, however the ingredients were fresh and the short rib meat melted in my mouth. My boyfriend has the diver scallops and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned and our friend had the kale salad with added chicken. She said it was crisp and fresh and very yummy!!!! We finished with tiramisu and every thought it was delicious.
My only other "complaint" if you can call it that is they were out of one of their signature cocktails we ordered and the espresso/cappuccino machine was down when we ordered an after dinner espresso.
Overall the whole evening was a great way to spend a Saturday night!!!
Small plates were a bit disappointing. I did not expect that looking on the menu. Breakfast items did not come with your regular items like piece of toast, hash browns and / or breakfast potatoes. Food was underwhelming. Service was ok, but we did have to ask for water refill twice.
Nice ambiance outside (if they only fixed the floor so that the tables are level and even). The rooftop bar is very pleasant albeit small for the crowd that wants to enjoy it. Inside is too noisy and dark. Alex was a fabulous server: knowledgeable, funny and a good sales person.
The happy hour specials are great here, especially on Tuesdays when they have 1/2 off bottles of wine. The service was not fantastic but I believe they were overwhelmed.
It was loud during brunch and our wait staff was a little too eager to take our plates and silverware, making me feel rushed.
We tried this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday night, mostly because we were looking for a new place to try in the Clarendon area and had seen some positive reviews. We were quite impressed with both the quality of the food and the service. Since it was a nice evening we chose to sit outside at street level and were therefore Subject to the normal Clarendon street noise, which we found acceptable, but for those looking for a different environment, the restaurant has indoor and rooftop seating options which look quite nice. The menu is not lengthy, but there is enough variety to satisfy a range of preferences. We ordered two appetizers and two main dishes. The appetizers were a tomato salad and roasted cauliflower, and both were outstanding. The two main dishes were stuffed chicken breast and diver scallops. The chicken breast was juicy and flavorful, with a nice white truffle sauce that added flavor while not smothering the chicken. The diver scallops were pan seared very nicely, and accompanied by a quinoa/rice mixture as well as roasted asparagus and small potatoes. I thought the potatoes were an odd combination with the rice, but everything tasted great. The server was willing to substitute more asparagus for the potatoes, had I wanted. The food was served promptly, but we did not feel rushed. We shared a tartufo for desert, which was good, but nothing special. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and will definitely return.
Service was super slow, but the food was good and the outdoor patio was lovely.
I love the bottomless brunch and mimosa option! The Hibiscus mimosa is a must try and a break from the normal orange juice. I will for sure be back again.
I planned a girls brunch at Wilson's Hardware. The were very accommodating for one of my friends that's vegan and could really partake in the bottomless brunch. The rest of us really enjoyed the food, especially the cauliflower and egg! The mimosa was great. It's a steal! Would definitely recommend it.
First visit, enjoyed food quality and variety. Small plate concept is nice for brunch.
We had a delicious meal. Our waitress was very attentive. She went out of her way. It was my husband 's 70th Birthday and she brought out a complementary dessert. Very sweet and thoughtful! Would highly recommend!
Good service. Convenient location.
The service was slow at times, but they made up for it with free drinks!! Our waiter was great! It took the manager 30 minutes to find hot sauce though!! Food was yummy!!
Typical Clarendon bar/pub. Solid but nothing special.
Though the booth was comfortable and limited the noise, it was too loud. Was service stretched thin? It seemed less than attentive though quick once you made the order. The dishes shared were OK, but those who ate the scallops liked them best.
The food was fine, nothing special. Very loud and very slow service. Waited almost half an hour before someone came to take order, half an hour to get bill during normal dinner hours
Fun decor and vibe. Should have stuck to “bar food” instead of seafood and salad. Drinks were very sugary. Switched to wine/beer after the first drink. Would recommend a stop in for 1 drink only.
Enjoyed the bottomless brunch and inexpensive yet delicious mimosa carafes! What an awesome find- celebrated a 50th birthday but will be back soon. The wait staff was also amazing. The small plates were served family style with the bottomless plate option and everything we tried was fantastic- some favorites were fried chicken on a waffle, brioche French toast, the salmon and egg dishes.
Based on reviews, I had high expectations for Wilson Hardware. From start to finish there was need for improvement. There was at the host station upon arrival. Several staff saw me standing waiting and made no effort to see if I needed help. I made a dinner reservation but was seated at one of the hightops in the bar area.. i found this to be odd given there was plenty of available space in the restaurant. It was loud and hard to carry on a conversation in that area. Our server was polite but we were clearly just a number not a guest. We had to go in search of the serves in order to get our bill. Food.... I'd caution people to expect nothing spectacular. There was nothing memorable about the food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't outstanding and nothing I can't find at any number of Arlington restaurants. I don't see going back or recommending this place for food. I might suggest it for drinks... Might.
The staff was accommodating in helping us get a quiet table. The brussel sprouts are always great and the steak frites was prepared perfectly. The menu is reasonably priced so it's one of our regular spots. I wish they would add fish tacos to the menu!
Great food, great service, great drinks and great fun! My friends and I had an amazing time celebrating my birthday. Would definitely recommend this place to others!
Its a really cool, chill place to hang out with friends, and enjoy food and drinks.
Obviously brunch was busy which is totally understandable, but things like plates when you're a group of 8 is really important. We always needed utensils or plates or an order taken. The value is there for sure though! Food was great
The purple lighting over our table hurt my eyes and distorted the color of the food. So bizarre. Why would you do that in a restaurant? The food was good, but I’d have enjoyed it much more without that lighting. I can’t say I’d go back, or recommend it to others.
