Willow Street Pizza & Taproom - San Jose
Service was prompt and friendly, food was hot and tasted great, and Thursday was no-corkage on BYOB. Perfect night!
Our Waitress was not very attentive, took a long time to get place our order, get our drinks, get our food, etc. food was excellent as always.
Chili peppers on our Italian pizza were way too salty.
Food was good. Service was a little slow but we were a fairly large group so it gave us time to socialize a little more.
Enjoyed a lunch special of a small pizza and salad; both tasty and satisfying. A lot of food for the price 🤗. Our server was great; Polite , friendly and attentive
We had a group of 14 people. I didn’t think we could get a reservation on open table for 14. So we booked two tables of seven, and requested that we sit together. The staff at the restaurant was very accommodating and grouped us all together. Service was great, food was good. We definitely go here again, especially for some of the weeknight special events
Good food and experience. The venue is loud, so don't expect to have an intimate conversation, but it is afterall a taproom.
Food was good, there with girl friends for my birthday dinner. Good for groups of friends.
Great customer service, amazing food & very quaint & home like atmosphere
Great place for all ages. Have a family tradition of eating dinner here and then taking in the Christmas lights of Willow Glen.
Not as a once and while. Maybe if you live local and your used to the slow service and attitudes. We came as special occasion. For viewing willow glen lights and wish we prepped for the slow service and sour attitudes when asking for water or more drinks in general. Or napkins for the messy wings. I’m pretty sure it’s called “ anticipate the customers needs” in service but not considered a standard here unfortunately
Food was decent but overpriced. We would have preferred more vegetarian options. Appetizers were more pub style than Italian. Service was terrible, they forgot about us on multiple occasions. A drink that was ordered at the beginning arrived after we had finished eating. We had to ask multiple times for some of the kids meals.
I’ve always liked the food and ambience at Willow street, and I really like the beer selection, but we were surprised with the “surcharge” to make up for the minimum wage hike. I don’t remember even seeing it on the menu. Not a big deal, and not much money, but a little bit of a sour taste
The Warm Brussels Sprouts Salad was delicious and big enough to share. We also shared the Italian pizza with the gluten free crust which was very good. Nice interior. Has a full bar which is a plus. Looking forward to returning.
our new favorite restaurant for casual comfort food
Dinner was good except for the fact the person that brought us our food was carrying too many plates and our pizza went on the floor the salads fell on his shirt and then still tried to give us our salads. They had to re-make our pizza, forgot one of the entree salads and still charged us for everything. We also had to keep asking for water and constantly looking for our waitress. Not sure I will go back to this location.
The menu has changed a lot. Garlic fries are good, but not as much garlic as I remember. Prices have gone up a lot too. Overall, we still love the place but have memories of it being a bit better.
We've been loyal customers for years and will keep coming back. There are some great new items added to the menu recently.
Great food for a casual family meal or even a date
A little pricey, but the service was decent and the food was above average. Not crowded and parking was reasonable.
Food was delicious. Portions were a bit small but it might have been the fact that my raviolis were so good I just wanted more. We had beer wine and cocktails at our table, everyone really enjoyed their drinks. Service was just as good as the food. To top it off the restaurant is beautiful. Will definitely be coming back.
The only thing I would recommend would be the appetizers, drinks and the kids menu
The salmon dinner with potatoes and green bean was delicious!
Pizza was delicious, service was great, overall great experience. We cannot wait to go back....
Great service, excellent food. Highly recommend the trip.
Fantastic service and some of the best shrimp tacos I have ever had
I love the fresh thyme on the combo pizza.
There was only one waitress. So the service was really slow.
The food was good, but not exciting. The mini pepperoni pizza did not have enough pepperoni. The server was kind and attentive.
We had dinner with friends and looked forward to the taproom offerings, cocktails, as well as the variety of food choices on the menu. The drinks and food were all very good. Our waitress, however, seemed a little anxious on getting our order and then pulling our plates as soon as we were finished. The restaurant wasn't overbooked, so it wasn't that the table needed to be turned. We felt rushed and not what we were looking for in our Saturday night out.
I’ve been a bit disappointed with service last few times. They just don’t seem as efficient or organized as in the past few years. More of a wait in general & to order even when not crowded. Bread was cold, used to be warm. Oil & vinegar had a ton of garlic. Entree was good.
Met up with friends for a quick casual dinner. Enjoyed sharing the Kale, Herb Chicken & Roasted Butternut Squash salad and the Crispy Pesto Cauliflower shared plate with cider and wine beverages. The bread at the start was warm and delicious.
Great pizza and service!
Restaurant was too hot. No air conditioning or fans
Was a birthday celebration with daughter and her husband. Waiter brought complimentary ice cream Sunday but otherwise service was spotty. Didn’t refill water or bread or check on how we were doing. I had a 20% off coupon I showed when we sat down and he did not deduct it from the bill. Food was fine be, $16 for a burger and fries. Wasn’t too busy
The wait staff seemed more interested in talking with each other than paying attention to the customers. My lime chicken salad was tasty but not up to par. Limited beans and corn compared with previous times. The presentation was unappealing. I did mention this to wait staff and he wasn’t quite sure how to respond. We won’t rush back.
Salad was average. Shrimp tacos had very little shrimp on them, I think one of the tacos had exactly one shrimp on it. Pretty expensive for what you get. Service and servers were great, took care of a wrong order right away but kitchen was very slow to get out a replacement.
The soup was very good and the hamburger was delivered while hot and very tasty.
For the most part the service was just ok not great. Mainly the gal that opened our wine that we brought was sub par. She poured my wine glass way to full and also spilled it while doing so. I gave her a suggestion when outing white wine especially that to keep it cooler only pour a little at a time. She seemed mad that I gave her this advise and never returned to our table. Management needs to do more to produce friendly wait staff.
