Hands down one of the top 5 meals with wine pairings that Ive had. Not pretentious.

This is an outstanding dining experience. Informal but elegant and interesting. Seating is limited, reservations a must. If you can’t get a reservation, ask to be put on the waiting list; that is how we got in. If you have one dinner in Portland make it here.

The food and wine pairings were innovative and delicious. The number of ingredients in each dish made each bite have a slightly different appeal. When you go there, you will sit and they will bring you course after course of outstanding selections.

We had high expectations and John and Doug did not disappoint. One of the best meals we’ve enjoyed in Portland. Loved the intimate setting. The food and wines were impeccable. March menus include their “greatest hits” - favorites they have served since opening in 2016.

This is a must try for anyone who loves food. The chefs are engaging and excited about the food they're offering. Each dish is a work of love and art and deliciousness!

My moms birthday! And our most favorite restaurant ever we love those guys, the food the atmosphere and the heart of Willow.

Great experience, delicious food, John is so knowledgeable about the wine and food preparation. We will be returning soon.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Portland!

The food could have tasted 20% worse and the entire experience would have still been 5 stars. I feel like I was invited over to my friend's house and they cooked me an amazing meal and explained every aspect of it along the way. Chefs have a lot of passion, but these two share their passion in more ways than just amazing and creative food.

One deficiency, and it was mine, I ran out of words to describe the each course. One can only say "great", "fantastic" and "amazing" so many times before you become repetitive. Prepare ! Look up synonyms for the best thing you have ever tasted. This is a great, fantastic, amazing experience.

This was my second visit to Willow and it did not disappoint. The food and service were great.

Every meal that I have had at Willow has been wonderful, but I really feel like the dishes were even better my life at recent visit. The wine pairing was also delightful, and the service is always top-notch. Willow is unusual in both the fantastic creativity of the dishes and in its small dinner party atmosphere.

This is a place that consistently goes over and above expectations. Every visit somehow manages to exceed our already high expectations. The food and experience demonstrate a rare level of passion often lacking in even the finest of restaurants. We highly recommend Willow to all our friends

Every time I go out to eat at a new place it’s the same...it’s good but can not compare to Willow. John and Doug’s passion for cooking shines through each dish. Each menu we’ve had has been unique and wonderful. Can’t make to make reservations for the future.

Amazing as always

Our favorite place to treat ourselves for a fun date night! John and Doug are both awesome and have created the best space in Portland for an amazing dinner.

I’ve done plenty of fine dining and chef’s counter type of experiences like Willow, but this was the most incredible of all. I have enjoyed gastronomic and experimental menus, but there’s nothing novel or mystifying about the dishes at Willow. Instead, they are familiar and comforting, but meticulously planned and artfully prepared. I would return to Willow again and again, and plan to.

This was my fifth time with Willow. The experience has been superb and consistent. It was such a joy to bring others to enjoy something that is not your every day dining place. My family from California was more than impressed with Willow in food, wine pairing and the outstanding service.

We felt welcomed from the moment we set foot into willow and didn't want to leave. A must do.

Best food experience We’ve ever had. Drove two hours there and back just to eat at Willow. Every minute of the drive and dollar spent was worth it. Highly recommended!!

My wife and I have been to Willow multiple times and we always leave amazed with John and Doug's creations. Their ability to imagine a dish and bring it to life is truly a gift. This last dinner was very special since all the proceeds for the night was being donated to Toys for Tots, including gratuities. We love supporting local business who give back to their communities. We highly recommended Willow!

An incredible meal, easily the most inventive dishes we've had all year. Amazing flavors and attention to detail. Portion sizes were very large and we left feeling so full that we didn't eat until the following afternoon. (Rare with a tasting menu meal.) John & Doug were both highly attentive, John knew every detail about every dish and drink and it made for a super interesting experience. We've been talking about this meal for days and have been recommending it to friends, will continue to, and hope to come back soon.

Everything from the food, thoughtfully prepared and presented to the wine and non alcoholic pairings well matched to the detailed and informative explanation of each course and pairing were EXCELLENT!!! This is a hidden gem, a local treasure that needs to be experienced. It may be a wait to get a reservation, but it is absolutely worth it. The menu is well thought out and the chefs prepare, present and serve your meal. Do not pass up a chance to dine here. You will not be disappointed!
