Happy New Years
We took three families to celebrate NYE. We had a great time. The food and service were great.
Great location, clean and friendly service. Food is okay. They have a wine retail shop that also sells beer, milk and other beverages to talk back to your hotel room.
Went on Christmas Day but didn’t know it was buffet only so was a bit disappointed as the menu looked quite good!
Willows is part of the SeaCrest Resort, which by all ideas should be as nice as the resort itself...but isn't.
We had Christmas dinner "buffet" which was a hodgepodge of traditional foods. The roast beef was very good but seemed to be limited supply. The cocktails were very good. Buffets are hard to gauge, but more detail to presentation and cleanliness would be appreciated.
I will say that when you receive the Complimentary Breakfast it was more than expected. And the servers were nice and always offering more, so well worth that value!
Sort of sports bar place without the interference of blasting sounds
Food fine and filling
Nice daily happy hour specials
Lots of parking (even RV with tow vehicle
Keep in mind that this reviewer prefers casual dining
We had a great Christmas Eve dinner at Willow. Would definitely go back.
Spacious clean restaurant with ocean view and stunning sunset. Plenty of tables are available. The wait staff is competent and attentive. Willow has a very affordable happy hour menu. From fish to steak, their menu is varied, prepared with fresh local ingredients and the food is well seasoned. I go there by myself about once a week and have been most satisfied each time.
Waitstaff unprepared. Food prepared wrong and had to be returned. Replacement was not good. Overpriced for quality.
The Willow restaurants in Pismo Beach and in Nipomo are our favorite restaurants to enjoy a great meal, ambience and service. We are locals and appreciate having these restaurants in our backyard.
The tacos were delicious and it was a fun atmosphere.
Bar drinks were good, service good. Food was coffee shop quality. Maybe a sandwich, pizza ok but entrees way overcooked, poor quality in general. Not good food. Need to change chef, manager. A local who won't go back after three visits.
Worth the jaunt from SLO. Clean and upscale not cheap price but great time
Food at the Willow was very good, however, when serving a buffet, the server should make sure the used plates are removed before the customer brings another plate of food to the table. Also, new silverware should be provided before customer returns with new plate of food. it is absolutely necessary that the table be clean at all times.
We enjoyed the partial view. window, waiter and meal. not so cozy and inviting and loud music that was moderated for us.
We had a table of 10 for a birthday celebration & our waiter was very attentive & helpful! Everyone seemed to enjoy the food & desserts:))
Great service and food was perfect.
Nice light from wall-to-wall windows. The food that was provided in new breakfast buffet was generally of good quality -- but far too limited for $25. (Included 'self-make' waffle bar that is the same as those provided in my hotel's free breakfast!) Deserts, which are usually the highlight of buffets, were very lacking -- only 2 previously frozen generic pies. Their lacking was emphasized by placement of the buffet "desert" table which was situated next to deserts-for-sale display which showcased far more decadent options.
We were staying at the hotel nearby so we went for lunch and dinner. Lunch was pretty good, it was very slow. The fries were great, salad and tacos good, but caprese sandwich just ok.
We went for dinner and it was more crowded. Service was extremely slow, had to send back the salmon because it wasnt cooked, and no cherries in the shirley temple!! They were friendly, but overall the experience was not great except for the amazing view. I'm sure there are plenty of other restaurants that are much better with a similar view for a better experience for the money.
Love the ambience of Willow. The servers are very good and helpful. We went for an early family dinner and were very disappointed in our meal. The others had pizza and said it was good but we both had the Wine and Prime and were very unhappy with it. The Prime had so much Liquid Smoke on it, it totally changed the flavor and in fact made hubby very sick. You cannot call it Prime Rib when you don't cook it correctly....... we didn't send it back but I brought mine home and dumped it in the trash..... such a shame when It is in a great location and is a fun place to go.
We had the Sunday special of Prime Rib with a glass of red wine included in the price. The soup and the drinks from the bar were excellent. The Happy Hour menu was terrific. Recommended !
The coconut shrimp was a big disappointment. Small and overcooked. The older version was much better. Cup of soup was really minimal too.
Nicely decorated restaurant with great views of the ocean. We had a 6:30 reservation on a Saturday night. The place was busy but not packed. I had the prime rib special and it was tasty and tender. The brownie sundae for dessert was delicious! I'm hoping to go back soon to try their weekend brunch buffet.
The food was good I really liked the pork belly tacos the service was awesome as well
Good food in a pleasant environment at reasonable prices. Went twice during our stay. Would go back if in the area.
Fish sandwich & Moscow smiles the favs. Fish & chips just okay.
Very fun and super casual place for Happy hour or dinner, even lunch. The service is great, the staff super friendly. We went to Happy Hour then back later for dinner. Both were great! Went back the next day for Happy hour again. The food was great at happy hour. So fun.
great food, great view, friendly staff. House chips are wonderful!
A little bit of an awkward environment. Wasn’t crowded, menu is hard to follow. No indication as to what they actually specialize in food-wise. Salads were good, but fish tacos and fried fish were okay. Space seems too large for the concept and service was slow despite only 20 patrons in the whole restaurant. Also, we decided on the place for the advertise daily specials, only to find out that they did away with the specials.
We were here for my niece's graduation and they capped off a terrific day with a terrific meal. The special was an herb crusted prime cooked perfectly and the server, Chris, handled every odd request perfectly. Thank for a great evening.
Sunday sit down brunch used to be great. Really enjoyed the lobster benedict. The buffet was not so good. No carved meat and all the buffet tray covers have to be held or moved to another tray in order to get the food out. It's fairly priced for what you get, but the order from the menu brunch was way better.
Our reserved table was at the window and we had great views of the ocean. Our server was prompt and courteous. The good was good and the portions were big. A nice time overall,
The food is really good. But just with most Pismo beach servers. Nothing to speak about. Waited a long time for everything to happen. Front desk even started it off by making us wait. Nearly empty dining room....wth?
When we came in, it looked pretty good. We were seated at a window table. The hostess was friendly, cleaned off the table we wanted. After that, our server(s) were just OK, not overly friendly or attentive.
The prices are high for what we received. My husband ordered the filet ~ it came out just so so. The broccoli and cauliflower were very overcooked, the small round potatoes were just plain, and tasted it. . For the same price, we can go to Chipinot's in SLO and get so much better service and food ~ no comparison.
Willow is more of a burger type place, and you need to either up your game with the food, or offer more value with the meal. Some places have it ~ like Guiseppes or Ventana Grill ~ and though they are priced
somewhat the same, they give you an appealing experience and much better food.
Great ambience, great food, service was awesome too!!! Highly recommend this restaurant .
We had about 15 ladies that were VERY excited for my bachelorette party haha. Our server was wonderful. H feel terrible that I can’t remembwe her name. Very friendly. Everything overall was great
We’ve been here a few times now. The service is always great. My boyfriend always gets the cheeseburger and likes it. I’m pescatarian and there are a lot of options. They brought out a special dessert for my boyfriend’s birthday. I recommend the berry froze!
Not the greatest buffet.
Prime Rib & Fried Chicken were good
Wish they would have a lower cost for teenagers who are not drinking
or an off the menu option
Brunch was great! Good selection of food. Desserts were good but the Bloody Mary bar was better. Nice bartender!
Staff was super friendly and the food was great
