Our server was really knowledgeable and nice but everything just came out slowly. We didn’t get our cocktails until we were almost finished with our appetizers which was about 20/30 minutes. Food was yummy and great presentation. Would try again, just slow service.
Good food and ambience but noise was too loud and had to wait for 15 miniutes to be seated, although we had reservations and was on time.
Having visited the old Willie G's repeatedly during the past, I was very disappointed with the new one. You went from a nice. quiet, pleasant atmosphere with great food to a very loud, raucous and chaotic asylum with great food. Unfortunately, the great food does not make up for the totally miserable "energetic" atmosphere.
Overall the dining experience was good, waitress was decent, food was good however the music was really bizarre and the noise level was too much
We were seated promptly and the service was spot on. There is a large variety of menu items and everything we ordered was delicious.
The new Willie G is a very good restaurant but don’t go there expecting any kind of a Louisiana influenced menu. The menu is pretty much the same as you would find at McCormick and Schmick’s, Eddie V’s, or any other top end seafood and steakhouse. The space itself is beautiful and the service is outstanding. I’m going to miss the old Willie G’s! Go to Brennen’s instead if you want the old G’s.
What a disappointment. Looking forward to a nice Valentines dinner. What a let down. My husband ordered the seafood Gumbo. The minute I saw it I knew it was not good. Watery, two shrimp and tablespoon of rice. I ordered the Greek salad. It was good but not great. Nothing like the one at Pappadeaux. My husband ordered the fish of the day grilled. The portion was ridiculously small and over salted. The vegetables were burnt. Had a serving of Cauliflower Au Gratin which was good. I order a steak medium. It came over cooked and over salted. My vegetables were also burnt. Didn't want dessert at that point. We did order a Cappuccino. The best part was the warm chocolate chip Biscotti. So over priced. So not good. Not the old Willie G's. Will not return.
New location is lovely. Spouse and I went for valentine’s day.
Meal - salad dressing was tasty. Thanks for using some dark greens. Nothing irks us more than iceberg lettuce being passed along as healthy greens. Salad was a bit wilted tho and may have been sitting out for a while before it got to us...it was wilted and lukewarm. Food was tasty. Wife ordered the stone crabs claws. She thinks you should add a side or two for the price. The claws seemed small but were tasty. Not all were cracked where she had easy access to the meat so she had to work for it with the cracker that the waiter brought her. My blackened fish was tasty but a little dry. Apple blonde dessert was REALLY delicious!!! Drinks were reasonably priced.
Service- we had Jimmy as our waiter. We really liked him. Very professional, knowledgeable about your menu, prompt, and friendly. He told us about the brunch as well so we may try that one day.
Location-valet parking seemed a must but you should give people a self park option. We didn’t see it but then again that was our first time to the new location. Thank you for taking reservations! The seafood display at the front is a nice touch. Decor and design very nice. Music was way too loud and difficult to have a conversation without having to lean in or speak a little louder than usual. For Valentine’s Day, maybe some more romantic music piping through would have been nicer or balance out the playlist.
Overall pretty good first experience at this location. We would visit again.
