Michelle was a super server! Another great evening dining out.
Excellent food & service!
We were seated at the entrance to kitchen. Worst experience. Waiters were coming and going. Hovering around in the hallway right where we were seated. This table should be removed. Terrible for any guest that is expecting the Landry way. It was my birthday and wasn’t expecting to defend against this management decision. We are seniors 69 and figure the person up front sized us up as not worthy of a decent table. I am long time member of their signature club. Stinks!
Great location with awesome sea food and atmosphere.
Very good service and excellent attention to details from the complimentary valet parking to the exit out the door.
Willie G’s is overall a nice place to try, however it’s hit or miss with many items. We started with the oysters “French quarter” app, which were excellent, however the lobster bisque must have been a Cajun version, using a dark gumbo roux, not the best. Interestingly the Greek salad doesn’t contain any leafy greens, but is a tomato and onion salad, but it worked, and was great. The salmon Benedict was ok, but again their version uses a bagel rather than an English muffin, which the menu doesn’t mention, and not sure if it really works? Regarding fish and chips, the potato croquettes were fantastic, but covering fried fish with a thick gravy like sauce wasn’t a good idea. They do make a great Bloody Mary.
Made a reservation and wait was still an hour. Had to sit outside where it was so uncomfortable and loud with the waterfall we could barely hear each other. Server rushed us the entire time. Food was great.
HRW- great service and food!
This was our fourth time in the past year to eat at Willie G's and the food and service are always outstanding. We always make reservations and made this one for 7:45 on a Saturday. We arrived on time and were told that the table wasn't ready and to check out the bar. Well, there was no seating at the bar. So, we asked the hostess to text us when the table was ready and went to check out the hotel. 45 minutes later we came back and surprise, the table still wasn't ready. We waited another 15 minutes and were finally seated at 8:45. This has happened every single time we have come to varying degrees and it's really getting old. If you can't meet expectations with reservations you might as well not take them.
Fifth time here at this location . Never have been let down with the quality of food , beverages or service . This time service was terrible to the extreme .
1st Ordered iced tea and glass of wine for my wife . One iced tea and glasses of wine , didn’t say anything . I drank the additional glass , my thoughts just pay for it .
2nd Ask for bread and butter never came .
3rd Ordered cream spinach with entree . Nope broccoli with entree .
4th Ask for bread and butter again . Server comments he will be back in 2 minutes with bread .
Five minutes later he shows up with cream spinach , no bread .
I am hoping management deals with this . I spoke to a floor manager regarding issues .
Was offered a complimentary dessert . But already had decided to visit “Bocche” . Loved dessert there as always excellent pastries and coffee , oh yeah friendly and excellent service .
And no doubt I will go back to “Willie G’s . And just hope we don’t gat same server. By the way after management removed glass of wine and broccoli my tab was approximately $100.00 I still left a $20.00 gratuity ,
See you soon !
Food was good, but expensive. Was quite loud and table was small for 6 people. Service was responsive but our server was like a robot. She worked quickly, but didnt explain much, I asked if they had plain ice cream, her response was basically only what's on the menu. Didnt offer to help me choose something else. If I visit again would sit on bar side
Smaller portions. Very busy menu. Loved how the waitstaff helped one another. Excellent Valet Service!
Delicious food. Excellent service. I love the fried shrimp with FF potatoes and onions.
The experience was great! The restaurant was comfortable, the hosts were inviting, the service was fast and polite. It was just an overall great experience. The only down side was it was a bit noisy for me but it probably wouldn’t bother most people.
Great food and excellent service. The seafood is really good. Restaurant is quite noisy, so be prepared for that atmosphere. .
So incredibly good. Food was delicious, fresh and very impressive. I will come back many times!
Service and food was spectacula
It was Restaurant Week and we had no problem getting a table. They do cram the tables close together but after taking a seat it wasn’t that bad. The waitress was cute and sweet and very good at what she does. Her timing was right on target and she went out of her way to understand our orders. I’m on a super strict diet and she said the kitchen can do whatever I want. Grilled asparagus vs the asparagus on the menu that had bacon and other things. Grilled red snapper was perfect. My sister had a salad and the crab cakes as her main course and she said the breading was very light and the cakes were delicious.
We had a very nice dining experience.
The restaurant week brunch is an excellent value! The Post Oak Oyster Bar Trash omelet is delicious! It came with a dessert course. I chose the blueberry cheesecake and it was wonderful. My daughter had oysters and sushi and loved it. We split the cauliflower and kale salad. It was a winner. My husband was pleased with the gumbo and eggs Benedict. Our server, Janelle, was exceptional! Can't go wrong with Willie G's!
One of the servers kept rearranging the table, jokingly in the name of OCD, which, if she doesn’t have a clinical diagnosis, is pretty insensitive.
Amazing Experience! From the Ambiance to the Food, everything was prepared Beautifully!
We had a great dinner and our waiter was very attentive to our requests and did a wonderful job with service.
Servers should be more discrete when bad mouthing guests.
Our service was awesome the food as always was amazing. Our waiter baljeet was awesome and attentive and made sure we were taken care of It was my mother’s 75th birthday and she enjoyed it.
Seemingly more formal than the old location, the food is still very nice and the service attentive. It seems a bit pricier also than the old location, but that may or may not be actually so. It just seems that way. Very friendly staff from the valets to the hostesses and hosts to the wait staff. This seems now to be more on par with Truluck's than the old location ever was.
I loved the service from getting out of car until leaving. It was our 36th Anniversary! When we were seated they brought out the flowers my husband had delivered there right away. The food was good and the desserts were even better! I loved the bread pudding!! Mrs. Rita is wonderful!!
Our server was allot of fun. My coworker and I are trying some special new diet and our server did her best to accommodate with a smile and fun attitude.
Seafood tower had spoiled lobster. They brought a new one which had no flavor like it had been frozen. We didn’t even eat it. We didn’t order entrees and went to Mastro’s. Either way Tillman made a lot of money from us.
Overall it’s not a 5 star restaurant but it had 5 star prices. There’s a disconnect.
I took visiting associates from Michigan to Willie G's on Monday evening and we all enjoyed the experience very much. They had been to the old location but this was their first time at the new facility and they were most impressed with the ambiance and overall atmosphere.
As requested, they sat us in a quiet area where we could visit without being disturbed.
The food was outstanding as always and we all enjoyed everything that was ordered.
First class establishment and service & food to match. Can never go wrong here.
This was our 1st time at the NEW Willie G’s...we always loved the original location and had tremendous dining experiences there. The new restaurant is beautiful but crowded - the booths are tone and the tables are WAY too close together (I had to move our table a little - a lady sitting at the next table was so close her hair was about an inch from me). The food was average at best and the entree (red snapper) was very dry, not much flavor. Oysters Rockefeller were tough, the sea bass appetizer was very good. We asked our waiter for some fresh bread when our entree arrived - much later, when we were almost finished, he brought the bread along with a side order that we had made - onion straws and shisito peppers - apologized that he had forgotten it - but didn’t offer to take it off the bill. Very disappointing- especially considering the 2 restaurants we considered going to but did not, where we most certainly would have enjoyed ourselves MUCH more Cafe Annie or Oceanaire. We won’t be back to Willie G’s.
This definitely is of my favorite places. Excellent service
Good wine, waitress was very good, excellent food- but probably will not go back due to the valet service. Sent a written letter to the manager about valet issue. Hope they take it seriously so someone else with a high-end [$100k plus] vehicle does not have to go through the same thing.
Our first visit to this location. Great service and enjoyed the whole fish menu option.
Very loud! All food came out not hot!
Excellent food and service!!
Nathan was our waiter and the food and service was impeccable. Started w the poke and sashimi as apps
And moved to wood fired yellow tail which was exquisite
All a great lunch on a quiet Saturday afternoon
Food was excellent. Our server was Victoria and she was outstanding with her knowledge of the menu, suggestions and attentiveness.
Great food and ambiance ! My Heineken was a bit warm.
We had an all around good time, the service to food was excellent, will be going back! New favorite!
