    We always get the prefix menu to enjoy a little of everything. The bread was hot and delicious. The salad was fresh and large. The filet, mashed potatoes and asparagus was all cooked perfectly. The steak cut like butter and the flavor is out of this world. The chocolate coconut cow cake is heavenly. I would highly recommend going here.

    As I have often heard, it is way over priced for the quality of the food I had a filet that was delicious but not a great value. Next time, I would have a salad ; my Caesar was excellent. Awesome service which made our evening.

    Wow!! I was staying at The Virginian and decided to make reservations at William and Henry. I have never had such a fine dining experience! The staff was wonderful and our server was the best! He was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu made sure I had everything I needed. The food unbelievable. The steak was cooked to perfection and the crab cake was amazing! The whole experience was perfection!

    If you want a top notch dining experience, William and Henry is the place. We were greeted by the hostess which sat us promptly. The restaurant is beautiful. From my seat I had a direct view of the kitchen pass, which I absolutely love watching them in action. Our waiter, Cha Chi was phenomenal, right there with our drinks and special buffalo shrimp appetizer promptly. We were celebrating 25 years of marriage, Cha Chi brought us two glasses of complimentary champagne while we waited for our entrees which made our evening that much sweeter. My husband chose the pre fixe menu which was an enormous salad which we ended up sharing, a 8oz filet mignon, and dessert was key lime pie. I had the pan roasted breast of chicken which was served with fresh arugula, asparagus, mushrooms, sliced onions and a delicious pan sauce. For my dessert, I had the creme brulee which was perfect. We were in at 5:10pm and out at 6:30pm, plenty of time to check into our room upstairs at the Virginian Hotel and make it to our 7:30pm show at the Academy Center of the Arts. We arrived at the Hotel at 4pm and had drinks and the fried oyster appetizer up on the rooftop bar Skyline, which was also amazing. We sat at the bar, drinks within 3 minutes, appetizer within 10 minutes, refill on drinks and leaving by 4:50 to head downstairs for our 5pm dinner reservations at William and Henry. Everyone we encountered this evening were 100% on their game. We had a fantastic evening!

    Menu didn’t list all the ingredients in items. For example. “Baked escargot” just said garlic butter, but when it came it was 90% mushrooms. If you don’t like mushrooms you will not enjoy this! My husband got the ahi tuna. Menu did not say it was drizzled with wasabi and he hates wasabi! Bottom line, ASK for the complete list of ingredients for each item. Service was impeccable!

    Had Surf and Turf was ok but Lobster tasted funny .. I wasn't impressed Steak was tender but lacking in Flavor! Service was good but don't see my self going back I will stick with Shoemakers !

    My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here. We had stuffed mushroom appetizers which were scrumptious and we both had the surf and turf. The lobster was grilled, our favorite, and the filet was to die for. It was the best surf and turf we have ever had. The prices are very much in line with any upscale full service restaurant. The restaurant is like everything else at the Virginian, absolute first class!!

    Everything was perfect for the evening. Our table was ready right on time, our waiter was very good and attentive, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was very good. The only down side-and not a huge deal-the question was asked on the reservation about whether or not we were celebrating anything. It was my wife's birthday so I noted that. But nothing was said about it until I mentioned to the waiter that my wife enjoyed her birthday dinner. But like I said, that is a minor thing. Everything else was top notch!

    Really nice place. Waitress was spot on! Great service! I got the 22 oz wet/dry aged steak. It was fatty along the edges. Asked for med-well; it was medium Did have great flavor though. You will be treated like you are special here. I recommend everyone to try them! Little expensive, beware of that!

    Holy moly!!! This place 1000% lived up to their fantastic reviews. Run, don’t walk, for these steaks. Chef Toby blew us away with our aged steak and filet mignon. We were celebrating a birthday and had the most moist cow cake for dessert. We left so appreciative and grateful for an excellent meal. Highly recommend!

    We enjoyed our meal. The Shrimp Rockefeller was good, but mostly a big plate of vegetables with a few shrimp (4) - not what I was expecting as an entree. The Tomato and Burrata salad was very good. The cheesecake tasted burnt on the crust (I only ate the filling). I would try it again, next time ordering other things. I would recommend, with caveats to perhaps try dishes other than those I mentioned here.

    We went last night with business friends and had a lovely and enjoyable meal. Cocktails were beautifully crafted - the old fashioned is one of the best I ever had. I had the pre fix dinner. Fabulous salad with the most amazing lemon ranch dressing. The 8 oz filet mignon was tender and on point. Whipped potatoes and asparagus were perfectly prepared. But the show stopper was the chocolate cow cake with coconut and buttercream frosting. I'm not even a sweet lover as a rule and I went nuts over it; it's crazy good.

    Sadie was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and was checking in on us and making sure everything was great. The food was prepared perfectly - the mahi mahi special was amazing per my wife, and my NY strip was prepared perfectly. The only complaint...the portion sizes were too large! =) We had a wonderful evening dinner.

    Besides the other guests, it was a wonderfully quiet atmosphere with gentle music playing. The service was excellent, Stephanie was truly an angel to have serve us, and the other staff were lovely as well. We got the New York strip, whipped potatoes, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and the creme brulee, all were very good. The steak was so juicy and flavorful! The whipped potatoes were my favorite, but the home made cocktail sauce for the shrimp cocktail did leave an impression on me. I'm grateful to the staff for such a wonderful experience for me and my fiance's anniversary.

    This place is delicious. If you are looking for a high class, high quality steak dinner, don't go any further. William and Henry is one of the best places I've had a steak. I'm only sorry it was so big I could not finish that evening. But leftovers were great, too. Be sure to ask for Chachi, the waiter. His service also exceeds expectations. He met every request with kind, timely, personal and personable service. You can't go wrong at one of his tables. Highly recommended. If I go back to Lynchburg, this restaurant will be on my "must stop" list again.
