We asked for outdoor seating when the reservation was made, but we were gonna be sat inside. They were able to accommodate the outdoor seating request after all. The server took about 20 mins to take our drink order and then another 20 mins before taking our food order. After receiving the bill another 20 mins past before I took the bill inside to pay because our server didn’t come back.
Waiter was great, food was mediocre, hostess and manager forgot they work at a restaurant

The waiter was nice, but got 2 out of 6 entrees wrong and missed one side. It was nice to be out in a restaurant, but expect more for the money. ,
Food was mediocre.....wife and I both had steaks, lacking flavor and side dishes were a little cold.
Drinks are fancy and yummy. They had a DJ on Friday night who played some smooth 90’s R&B.

I spent $48 on a tasteless steak. I had been dreaming of this night out all week and it was such a let down. The kids Mac n cheese was yummy, but the burger was over cooked and the swordfish was not the swordsfish steak I would expect to see at a place like this...it was tiny and thin. Very disappointing
We were disappointed tonight. We were there about a year ago, and the food was great. So, we came back tonight hoping for great food on our anniversary. The food was okay overall (steak was great, scallops were underdine, risotto overdone, creme brulee WAY too sweet and heavy) but the service was terrible. The waitress did not come back after taking out order. A different waiter served us (who didn't know who ordered what). Then he was about to bring our check before asking if we wanted dessert (we did). Some of the staff were standing around, chatting, while our waitress was nowhere to be found. We're not snobs; the service needs SERIOUS help.
Hostess never greeted us nor welcomed us. Took her a bit to figure out where to seat us which was odd as we had a reservation and the restaurant was almost empty. Service was on the slow side and food was okay. Not a customer experience you would expect in a restaurant trying to survive.
Enjoyed the new reopening due to the new COVID tier. There are no paper menus and you must use your phone to scan the QR code on the table to get the menu. Not convenient and the hostess' instructions were not clear, but she was friendly. The ribeye was delicious as was the pancetta mac-n-cheese. Our server/Otto was wonderful, attentive, and efficient. Looking forward to a full reopening. We will be back.
Food ad service was great. Only bad item is that they didnt check me in for OpenTable and I received an email that I was a "No-Show". I had to take the time to fix that mistake by providing them with details from my receipt.
although I got the wrong type of protein on my salad, everything else was great.

The food was excellent. The order was wrong. The wait time very long. Service was non-existent. I had to keep waving the people at the register down to get anything. It was my first dining out experience in a year. If restaurants want people back they should do better than that. They didn’t charge us for one of the meals but overall it could keep me from going back.

I’ve been to WH many times before and during the Pandemic, but this recent experience was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. It was as if they just opened.
My reservation was at 7:30. I received a call at 7:32 asking where I was. ....I was 30 seconds away, but still off putting.
We were seated quickly and then sat for 15 minutes before anyone came back to the table.
We received wine before water and the only water refill we received was after the meal, despite numerous requests.
Our waiter was new, and he was eager to please, but neither he nor the kitchen knew the menu. The pork chop I ordered did not come as described in the menu. A plated chop with an apricot chutney, mashed potatoes and brussels arrived as a chop alone on a plate with a side of tasteless mashed potatoes. I eventually received the brussel sprouts only to have to ask for them to be removed from the bill. I never got what I ordered and nobody knew what an apricot chutney was. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and was delicious, but I never did get the meal I ordered.
Our appetizer had to be sent back as it was cold in the middle.
I realize expanded capacity requires some time to work out the kinks, but at no time did management check in, apologize for the errors and or offer any compensation or fill in for a staff that was clearly not ready for the change in capacity.
I don’t like to write poor reviews but hope this one gets the attention I wanted at the table.
We were seated pretty close to other tables despite COVID and we had to go ask for service because our server never came by. When he did, he wasn't friendly at all. The food and atmosphere are good.
It was my anniversary. I specifically requested outside but there wasn’t anything when we got there for our 530 reservations. We waited another 20 for a table to finish but turns out they hadn’t ordered yet. It was a beautiful day and we were stuck inside. was a slight let down truthfully. if it wasn’t for the sword fish and waiter the stars would be less .
Great ambiance and setting, and food is fine. However, hosts need to learn how to provide guests with reservations actual seating. Like that's the point of a reservation, right? Guests with reservations were treated indifferent than walk-ins.
Would normally have rated higher, but first host was blatantly rude when we arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation expressing an interest in outdoor seating, and more than happy to wait. When our appointed time arrived, there was no call out, handoff or mention. When we re-approached the checkin desk, the hostess had no idea we were waiting. Other guests with reservations were equally confused.

It was my birthday and I had two tables of 6 it took some time to get drinks and my other table of 6 it took over 2hrs to get the dinner and it took another 2hrs to get my table of 6 dinner.
Service was over all horrible and not planning on going back.

Excellent experience at Willard Hicks! Great food, great drinks, and great service. Had the rum runner's old fashioned and a classic martini, and my date had rose. We shared pork belly bites, crab cakes, and steak tacos. Everything tasted great. Friendly, attentive service! Highly recommend.
Took my niece & her 2 friends who were visiting me. We all enjoyed our meals!
The only issue we had was that it took over 15 minutes for someone to come take our initial drink order. Everything after that was excellent.

Fantastic back to indoor dining experience. The food and service was exceptional except for the dessert (they were out of nearly every dessert and the creme brûlée was mediocre at best).
The restaurant had run out of propane tanks the night before as well as celery’s for the Bloody Mary’s and creamers for coffee.
It was disappointing to freeze outside without working heat lamps and have the restaurant be out of so many items while still paying high prices.
I understand everything is a little compromised these days due to the effects of COVID but the quality at WH has really suffered. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and only 1 was really enjoyable. We left half of our plates untouched as it was almost inedible from quality of product, temp, over salted, etc. For the price paid I just don’t feel the overall experience was matched. I hope that they can fix these issues and get some better chefs in the kitchen as this used to be a favored spot. These days more than ever restaurants should be trying to raise the bar and going the extra mile to deliver as we all need it. We’re routing for you!
We ordered chopped salads. Half the ingredients were missing. Paid 8 extra dollars for cold, old chicken on top. Salads were $25 each.
Our reservation was cancelled upon arrival because we were trying to be placed indoors. When booking the reservation online it wasn't stated that we would be seated indoors. We asked to wait for a table outside and were told we couldn't and that they were full for the night. This is our 2nd time attempting Williard Hicks and both times have been greeted with unaccommodating service and attitudes from the staff. Sad turn for this local spot.
