Filet was over cooked. Waitress Carly was awesome!
Both the food and the service were excellent. It was our first time dining at Willard Hicks. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed. We will definitely come back again.
We ordered two filet mignon and they served one normal filet and the other was butterflied. We asked and they tried to tell say that they were the same steak. Ultimately, we had to explain that we eat at WH regularly and know what a filet mignon looks like. They finally explained it had been butterflied and they could take it back but we were in a hurry at that point and soured on the experience.
Food was fantastic. We ordered a couple of New York steaks, Willard Hicks chopped salad, and the pesto cheesy bread for a starter. Our martini order got messed up, but our server was quick to fix it. Second time around, the martinis were perfect. The pesto cheesy bread was so good, we had to order some to go home with us. The chopped salad was excellent. It was light and perfectly dressed and was not too filling. But the stars of the show were the steaks. They were done perfectly medium rare and were so so tender. They were like large filet mignons but with lots more flavor. Our server Kevin was great and hard working, and the front of the house staff were so pleasant. We can't wait to go back.
My husband got the ribs and they were fall off the bone delicious. I got the scallops & risotto. The scallops unfortunately were over cooked
Friend was moving overseas
Food was terrible, server was polite. Friend was sick from the scallops.
this was our second time at WH both times have been great except our last visit the cornbread that I was looking forward to having again since it is unique to most other places was burnt think the cast Iron skillet they used was to old not sure. But on our first trip we ordered the normal size one it was delicious the last visit our waiter convinced us to go with the smaller cheaper happy hour one which was brought out in a different skillet then the first time we ordered the big one. Outside of that the rest of our meal was delicious and we would definitely go back again.
Overall a pleasant meal in modern surroundings. Service was quite good, as was the food.
The food was delicious and the waiter was awesome. He informed us what was his favorite on the menu and gave us tips on what to order. My boyfriend had the blackberry glazed filet mignon and I had the bone in pork chop. It was both cooked to perfection. The steak was juicy at medium rare and the pork chop was not dry, but juicy and tender. For the sides, we had Mac and cheese, string beans and house cut fries. All were amazing! Definitely will be back to try other foods on the menu.
Great experience eating dinner her with my wife. Our food was great, staff service was excellent, I don’t really have any complaints. As a matter of fact I will definitely go back!
Nice enough place if not looking for “fine dining”. I went planning to have steak and got one of their “best” and most expensive cuts. Cooked well but meat quality disappointing. My fault for not going to a real steakhouse, of which there are plenty to choose in South Bay
I had the swordfish. Portion was very small and it came with some salad. Not enough food! It would have been better with an appetizer.
Loved NOT having the obnoxiously loud DJ! You could have a normal conversation. Food outstanding, jewels... you are a great server!!!
Food was good, service was terrible! Our waitress Julieann, was the worst waitress I’ve ever experienced. Food came out wrong, requests were refused. We won’t be back.
Not on par with other high end steak houses. Seems to provide the illusion of something special, but the food did not measure up. Vegetable sides were very 'gloppy' and meat was fine, but not outstanding. The highlight was our very helphul and personable server.
We always enjoy the vibe and the food. Excellent cocktails and the pork chop was excellent. Fun place to meet friends.
We had ahi and crab cakes first.
Filet mignon with blackberry glaze and NY strip.
Then chocolate mousse.
Everything was scrumptious.
Vanessa was our perfect server.
Expensive- kinda. Worth every cent.
2nd time here. Fantastic again.
The food was cooked to perfection except for the ribs were a bit over cooked.
We will be back.
GOOD food , wine selection , reasonable prices ............................
Food came out cold after waiting 90 min. It never came back out!
Well I always have the best experience at this restaurant, this time the host and the waiter specially the waiter Jesus was beyond amazing we had a great service thank you
Food was very good, but the Caesar salad was a joke--5 lettuce leaves sprinkled with dressing and cheese.
Great experience where. I got the Filet from the grill and was absolutely delicious. Healthy portions across the board with a solid alcohol decision. We sat inside, but they still had a huge outdoor seating area. Service was fantastic and everything was decently price for the food we got. Will be back!
I had the blackberry glazed filet, which was cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth. The Caesar salad was delicious with the sun dried tomatoes, roasted garlic, and spicy jalapeno Caesar dressing. I can't wait to go back to try the ribs. Our service was absolutely on point, which I would expect from this type of restaurant. I was not disappointed at all! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasions, dinner with friends, or date night.
Green beans, brussel sprouts, and squash were delicious. My husband's NY steak was good- but I wished it came with a sauce or something- too plain. My glass of Rosé was very nice.
Great food and excellent service! And I really appreciate the free corkage on your first wine bottle. I will definitely go back!
The food and service was great! I will absolutely return for another round!
We have been wanting to eat here since they opened and finally celebrated my birthday here for dinner.
Excellent food, comfortable and relaxing. Really enjoyed our appetizers and steaks!
First time at Willard Hicks. Celebrating our anniversary Nice atmosphere. Good service. Food was very good The tables:for 2 could be bigger. Not much room.
I have been to Willard Hicks twice, the first time I was wowed with the food, last night unfortunately missed the mark. We ordered the brie and conserves appetizer, but the bread must have been by the steamer because it tasted chewy and sort of stale, it wasn't very good. The fried vegetable resting on top tasted like it had been fried hours before and was limp. The steak was just ok, I ordered it medium rare and it came mostly medium rare, but it wasn't all that tender. Our server however was attentive and great....but not sure I'll be back soon.
First bottle has no corkage fee and the food is good! Careful of the thick fries when you first get them - they’re piping hot! The ribs are a go-to favorite.
We come there often. Love the food.. The Burger is the best.
We had made a reservation a few days ahead of time and were disappointed that we couldn’t sit in one of the 5-6 booths that were empty. In asking to move, we were told it would be a 45 minute wait to get one. The booths remained empty until the time we were paying our bill...even then we could have been accommodated.
Music was playing higher than I’d like, which elevated the noise level overall since our conversation had to compete.
Service was excellent. Our drinks were brought promptly as well as our food. We never had to call for service as our waiter checked in on us throughout our dinner.
Food wasn’t as great as I’d expect with the pricing. Our rib eye was a little chewy and the rest of meals were just okay.
I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this restaurant to a friend...drinks and apps yes, but for a meal out, not so much.
As always- a great place to meet up with friends. We still love the honey-coated cornbread! This is to die for- seriously. 👍 And the steaks, of course, were grilled to perfection, so we left very satisfied. No photos this time-sorry!
Have never been disappointed at WH. the Swordfish is a excellent, as are almost all of the small plates. Many times we just order a bunch of small plates instead of main courses...they are that good!
It was good!
Arrived Sunday night 8pm, 1/2 full at best, plenty of parking around...other reviewers say different. Food was decent, but the ODD & COMMON bad thing was the OVER SAUCING & COVERING of many good foods by yummy but unhealthy & WAY too many dried fried micro onion rings. They say good food does NOT need to be hidden or covered much! I guess that’s not a concern of the $$$$ & biz-focused owners at Willard Hicks?
My swordfish was good but WAY TOO TINY for $25. & WAY too smothered & almost SWIMMING in a less than healthy white sauce. I had to “wipe-off” the fish & remove it from the sauce POOL or LAKE or OCEAN to even eat it. Only that one fish entree offered. My wife’s burger was good, but again, a bit too covered. Server told us NO corn side-dish available by 8pm as it “was all sold out”, odd, sad, bad for us. Who cares about the customer nowadays? Nice corporate buildout, but it feels too cold & sterile. Servers & most staff nice but all speak better Espanol than English. They often “disappeared” for a while, but I guess they had tables FAR away in the back too. Not good for us & the other table upfront, we had to WAVE to get water & ketchup & sharing plates & ....
What’s funny is that a bus boy told us that the Owners are the SAME as next door kinda way too corporate & fair at best Opa & newer Mos. Be careful, as they say, you get cocky & greedy, open up different kinds of places & then too many of them & lose focus...as they say, “Jack of all trades, master of none”! Dilute & you become weak. Weak die. It’s better to focus & master. Oh well, Morgan Hill & Campbell customers may not know the difference? We were one of the few customers in last night without tats or kinda buzzed upon walking out the door to their cars...the cops are waiting in their cars just around the corner! Beware...
Tables are Uncomfortably close together.
I really enjoyed Willard Hicks. The restaurant service was impeccable. We started off with the wedge salad and caesar salad - yum very satisfying. The bone-in ribeye was out of this world, perfectly grilled steaks to perfection. Great sides - bake potatoes, green beens etc. Followed by wonderful desserts. We loved the vibe, complete with dj music in background. One of the ordered entrees was entered incorrectly so it came out later than everyone elses, but the order was credited even without us asking. More important, the food was amazing.
