Everything was nice except our waitress kept disappearing? Every time we needed something more drinks, wine, desert, check, etc we had to flag down one of the busboys to track her down? And even then it took a while?

I really like the fact that Willard Hicks does not charge a corkage fee for the first bottle of wine that you bring with you to enjoy with dinner. Great!

Just coming out of Covid. You can tell they are short-staffed, but they’re doing a pretty good job. Food was great as usual (get the ribs). This is one of our go-to places and will continue to be so.

Willard Hicks is our go to place for special occasions, and we were thrilled to return for our anniversary. We both had the blackberry glazed filet, and it was amazing! We also shared a delicious chopped salad and the macaroni and cheese. The mac and cheese was beyond wonderful, probably the best I’ve ever tasted! Our only disappointment was that we wanted to share a dessert, but they were out of creme brûlée and the only sorbet they had was lemon mint. Nothing else on the dessert menu looked even remotely interesting, so we left without. Service was, on the whole, good but there was an error in our bill, and we waited a long time for it to show up. But all in all, it was fine. WH is still our place! Frankly, I think their steaks are the best in town.

Food quality is nowhere close to the prices for meat dishes. The $48 steak is closer to Applebee’s quality than to a comparable steakhouse. Service was okay, considering post-COVID opening, but should be better. Atmosphere is decent.

Short story: Got reservation, went there on time. Got seated and everything went fine till then.
No server or host showed up for 20mins. Not a single person stopped by at the table. After 20mins we just left and went to another restaurant

I think our server was new. She had no knowledge of the wine menu or wine list. Also limited knowledge on the spirits selection, had to go back to the bar 3 times to ask if they had something.

We've eaten here numerous times. Normally I would give 4 points or more, but last night the service was appallingly slow. There seemed to be enough staff roaming about, but no one seemed to understand the timing of a meal. We waited a LONG time for our first drink, waited even longer for the second. The food was good as usual. The drink menu was fine, but needs to be changed. It's the SAME as it ever was.

Always delicious. Grateful your restaurant is still in business. We came with intention to relax and not worry about how long the service may or may not take. Especially with how difficult it is to run the restaurant during this transitional time. Enjoyed every minute to be out with friends. Thank you for all the hardworking staff. We appreciate it.

This use to be one of my favorite places. Loved the ribs, calamari, and atmosphere. Something has changed, as this trip the ribs went from being a nice tangy to very hot and spicy. The calamity looked and tasted like it had been microwaved. The green bend where old and dry. We told the waiter about the berms, he said he would check on it…we never saw him again, a diff waiter served us afterwards. The atmosphere is quiet and lifeless now. This went from one of my top 5 places to a place I won’t go again for a long long time. Disappointing.

This Place is amazing, the friendliest staff, Great service, Foods is just unbelievable.
Everyone is so nice that you feel like part of the family, we ended up with a larger party than what we have anticipated and they have upgraded us to the private room, Service was one of a kind. don't get me started with the drinks:):) amazing Bar and selection. it was just such an amazing experience. made reservations through opentable for 4pm. arrived right on time and was seated promptly. no one else was in the restaurant and maybe two tables occupied outside.

our server took our order of the abigail, privileged sidecar, cheesy pesto bread, pancetta mac and cheese, peppercorn new york steak, and ginger ponzu bone in ribeye.

the drinks and cheesy bread came out first, giving my friend and i time to catch up. 15 mins later the main course came out. sadly all the toppings that were suppose to be on the ribeye were no where to be found. super disappointed because i raved about willard hicks to my friend since she’d never been and they didn’t present things like they normally do.

they are on point with the 1.5 hour limit when dining in ... which was weird because again no one was even there. it was pretty dead for dinner to be honest.

I need to first start off by saying its been over a year since we have been back. Over the last two weeks, every time I wanted to book, there was no open slots. So when we had the opportunity, I knew exactly what I was going to order.

Now the let down:
*Host was not confident in getting us a table, he looked lost.
*We waited for 10 minutes and still no not greeted.
*Three tables in the same general section was seated and had water service
*My wife went to the host and asked who was are server and se said he would get him
*Waited another 7 minutes and still nothing
*Went to the hostess stand and we asked who was our server and he pointed to the one serving the people in the same section
*A manager was also at the host stand and was apologetic, but by that time, nothing was going to taste good. She offered to seat us, and give a free appetizer. This situation was well beyond an appetizer for the recovery. She did not try to keep us, not by offering comps, but be apologetic?

I am not sure if Covid and the return to work has been difficult, but I can say these types of situations will ruin your repeat customers. Very unfortunate that this happened.

I am a hospitality advocate and have been giving back to do my part in the recovery of our food industry. I have been in the food industry for over 35 years, and that was one of my biggest disappointments. Even on busy days, we were never treated like this. Hopefully for others the service and integrity of the company will get back to the standards that they had.

Food and ambiance is great but unfortunately, we were there for the filet mignon but they run out of it. A bit disappointed that a steakhouse runs out of steak in the 1st seating in the afternoon. Overall, we replaced it with Ribeyes and still taste good.

Hate to complain because I know restaurants are trying, but didn’t feel like our bill for $198 for 2 people with no starters or dessert- just 2 entrees and 2 glasses of wine total were worth our experience. Sat for 10 min before anyone said hi or brought water. Sat with our dirty plates for 15 min before someone came by.

I'm completely disappointed. We have lived in Campbell for almost a year and have looked to this place as a "fancy, once a year celebration" kind of place. Not so much. The service was awful (I was a server for 3 years, so I'm usually incredibly forgiving), but our server had 4 tables and we saw him maybe 4 times total. Never asked how our food was, never apologized that our drinks came out 20 minutes after ordering. The water guy was 10/10 though, he tried to refill my water when it was still full, but it's probably because they were overflowing from liquids by pulling it out of the chicken. Whatever you do, don't order the sticky chicken. Unless, you like having to gnaw on a carcass for about 30 minutes each chew. I ordered my filet mingon medium with a side of spicy sauce and it came well done without any sauce. Our $9 "enough to feed to table" side of mashed potato's were 100% instant (again I have been a server so I know the difference between instant and hand peeled). If I had to come again, I would sit at the bar (no server needed) and order cocktails and pesto bread- those were the stars of our night. We were looking forward all week to a special once a year date night and walked away disappointed. Went to Vesper and immediately had a better experience, should've gone there from the start.

Went here looking for a steakhouse for a family dinner. Overall it was an okay, but unremarkable experience.

First the food:
French Onion Soup - Just so-so
Caesar Salad - It was one of those deconstructed caesars that I would normally dislike, but this one was quite good.
Steaks - Got the Fillet Mignon Medium and the New York Well done. Both were burnt on the outside, more than a nice char from the grill, and surprisingly tough. The rub they used on it was flavorful, but clearly sub par cuts of meat. Also, the presentation is horrid, just meat on a white plate. The sides come separately.
Scallop Risotto - The scallops were surprisingly good. Risotto was well cooked (not mushy), but a bit bland.
French Fries - unique jumbo fries that were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Pretty good.
Carrot Cake - A huge slice for $10. It was enough for the 4 of us to share. Pretty good.

Drinks:
Stella Beer - first beer came with no head/foam in a cracked glass. It was replaced but it is clear that the beer glasses were not properly cleaned, there was no lacing from the beer in the glass
Fancy Pants - decent gin cocktail.

Service:
The service is slow. It seemed like the staff had too many tables to attend to? We were there for an hour before we got our entrees and we didn't do much in the way of appetizers or drinks.

Ambience:
The decor is a bit somber and the music was too loud for my tastes. More suited to a younger brunch crowd as opposed to the family crowd. Also the booths were strangely tight with little room to the table. Fine for me, but anyone who needs more room would not like the booth setup.

Price:
The price was somewhat standard for the bay area - $200 for 4 - but the steaks definitely felt like a rip off. $44 for each and they were not worth it.

It was so great to get out with the family. We had a nice time. The food was fantastic. The service was good as well. This would have been a perfect evening...however, the music was so loud we could not hear our server and we had a difficult time hearing each other at the table. I am all about the ambiance, but it was like Studio 54. Way too loud. If you are looking to go out to dinner and not have to talk to the people you are dining with, this is a perfect place. It was not what we were looking for.
Other than that, it was fun!

Had never bee and was looking forward to it. My daughter and I had the baby back ribs. Over done and dry. She ate half of hers. My wife had the tempura chicken breast. Tasted good but it one huge breast and was tough. So disappointed. Service and ambiance nice. Not sure if this was COVID labor related but too many other restaurants to try to make we want to go back anytime soon.

We were very pleased with everything at Willard Hicks. The service was great. We were never interrupted. We had a chance to have a lovely dinner and take our time. We only mentioned our daughter’s birthday once and dessert was presented with a candle. I was very surprised and equally pleased. I will be back very soon! I highly recommend this as a dining destination.

I really like the food and cocktails here, which is why I always return. However, as usual the hostess was rude. It is interesting because it is not the SAME hostess each time. It just happens to be the personalities they pick. The servers are always great!

The silverware were dirty and had pieces of food stuck on them. They had a lot of empty tables but there were no servers. After 20-25 minutes of no service we got up and left. Terrible service. I will not go back there.
