Once upon a foggy day, the trade winds blew a warm streak of tropical sunshine across the San Francisco Bay and dropped it right in the heart of Downtown Napa. Like wind on a sail, the spirit of Wilfred arrived among the vines with his trusty ukulele and a little Tiki spirit.

Many moons ago, Wilfred’s big sister Flora found a Spring and cultivated some very special wines in St. Helena. Wilfred was home in Honolulu, welcoming guests to his bar where the drinks were strong, the company was charming, and there was always “just one more” story to tell.

We enjoyed our visit here. The restaurant has a tropical theme which we thought was very nice. The food was good. I had the salmon which was delicious. It seemed as thought my companions also enjoyed their food. I wish they had a kids menu.

First visit, excellent service from caring knowledgeable server who made perfect recommendations and checked in on us just the right amount of times. Hot toddie drinks and dinner were fabulous. Wish that you were busier on a cold winter week day but we did appreciate the chance to enjoy conversation without too much noise. Looking forward to the next visit. Thx

We went for lunch for my husband’s birthday. He had a traditional Mai tai and I had the ube mock tail. The drinks were wonderful and my hubby is picky about his Mai tai’s. Our appetizer was coconut shrimp, which was crispy and full of coconut flavor. We both had chicken katsu entrees. Just like the shrimp, our chicken was crispy and flavorful. Since we were right there when they opened for lunch, it was quiet. This was our second time there and we plan on going back!

I had an extreme sugar hangover the next day. High priced appetizers which were decent but nothing special. Everything literally is served with sugar sauces, sugar drinks and sugar rock candy garnish. The ambiance and decor is lovely. Nice view from roof top. I’d return but only if I really am craving sugar.

The tiki theme was inviting. The drinks were good and followed the tiki bar theme. It seems like a fun place for evening drinks. The food was dull in flavor. The Kailua Pork although tender had no flavor. When we asked the server for a dipping sauce, she was not pleased. We asked for a sweet and sour style sauce, which we received after a short lecture on how real Hawaiians eat the pork dish. Note two in our party ordered the Kailua Pork. The other ordered a burger which he ate half. Go for the drinks, skip the food. Evenings and nights are probably better than lunch. With fabulous restaurants in the Napa Valley we will not return to Wilfred’s Lounge. This restaurant is not recommend by this long time Napa resident if you are looking for food as your priority.

Service was lousy, the ambiance is cute but the food took forever and wasn’t worth the wait. Coconut prawns tasted frozen and still took a long time. The pineapple fried rice was too sweet but the presentation was nice. Mai tais were just ok too. Not sure if they weee having an off night or what. Not what we expected and wouldn’t return.

Service was great, but had much higher expectations of the food. Shrimp appetizer was over cooked with dry hard shrimps, poke salad was excellent though. Two people in our party order the pork fried rice, one with Spam and the other with pulled pork, but both dishes were quite slaty. Kind of expected with Spam, but not the pork I would have sent them back. The pulled pork main was nothing special either, just pork. My sticky ribs were fall off the bone very good, subbed the macaroni salad for green salad best dish on the table by far The Hula pie, which is actually ice cream on a chocolate gram cracker crust was great but the pana cottta was almost tough and actually hard to spoon out, although good flavor and the pineapple upside down cake was dry. However, most importantly, all the drinks were great. "Batten Down The Hatches" was delicious and did the trick.

Ingrid really helped make our parents’ first dining experience a wonderful one! I’ve been to Wilfred’s myself one other time and appreciated how attentive the servers and staff were. Never felt rushed, always felt at home. Super convenient to walk to before or after a Blue Note concert. Would recommend!

We ate early as we had a Hawaiian show to see at Blue Note around the corner. Had reservations and got to to our table early, ordered drinks, came right away, ordered dinners, also very prompt, smiling happy servers. Food was delish and reasonably priced. Finished with plenty of time to see our show. Overall a very pleasant evening. L&Y Napa

I really enjoyed the ambiance of a tiki bar theme. It was really nice to be able to order at the bar and transfer my card from the bar to my table that I reserved. The drinks were very fun but I felt like there was too much ice and less liquid or alcohol inside. The food was delicious. At the end I felt like our waiter was rushing us to leave and it was only 930 and they closed at 11pm. Overall I would come back but maybe at an earlier time so I don’t feel rushed.

Chicken was over cooked and dry. Had the spam sliders again and this time there was the thinnest smallest piece of spam on the Hawaiian roll. It was nothing but bun. Server was very nice and attentive. Tiki drinks were not well balanced. Third time I’ve been and the quality really fluctuates depending on who is making them. Same with the food.

Me and my husband at dinner here here during the Labor Day weekend and heatwave. Took forever to get the waiter to bring us water. We almost left because of it. It was hot, the restaurant didn’t have air conditioning but we finally got water after 20 mins after my husband had to chase down the waiter. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the burger and my husband the Katsu. The dessert was pie was amazing! We enjoyed the nice ambiance by the water and inside we love the decor. If customer service was better this would have been. A great experience

Amazing tiki bar. Drinks were great and authentic tiki. Decor was fresh and inviting. Bartender Josh made us feel welcomed and knew his craft as well as other tiki bars in the region. Great tiki mugs, too. We both had the teriyaki burger and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients, light teriyaki sauce and fresh pineapple. After lunch we sat on the upper deck outside and right next to the river. Fantastic view.

Wait people have been uniformly great on all 3 visits. Fun place. Orchids in drinks are cool. Drinks are trippy. Food is good. Menu somewhat limited, but OK. The manger "Doc" is awesome. River view is cool if the tide is up, otherwise its a mud flat, but still a lot nicer than being in a "parklet in the street.'

Great food. Made a reservation. It asked if it was an occasion. It was but from the time we got there no one mentioned it. Then why ask ? Busy restaurant. Someone other then our server delivered drinks. I questioned my mai tai as they put it down. They said it was a mai tai. I believe it to be a mojito. It had mint and lime. The ice was good the drink was too strong. Appetizer came out with dinner. We ended up with a different waiter with no explanation. Food was good but with so many other choices and odd service at that price point I won’t be back.

Decorated very nice and the food is average not a lot of food for the price you pay the music playing was salsa not Hawaiian music and I don’t think I’d go here again Maybe okay if you’ve never been to Hawaii

Such an adorable tiki bar in downtown Napa! The live entertainment is top notch, the cocktails are delicious, and the food is very good. I do wish they would offer a few more traditional Hawaiian dishes such a loco moco and more fresh fish.
