Wildwood Smoke Craft Whiskey - Firewheel
garlic cream, caramelized onions, bacon, asadero, balsamic, blue cheese, cilantro
Gulf Shrimp & Grits
eight gulf shrimp, cheese infused poblano grits, bacon, roasted corn
Pecan Crusted Chicken
Wildwood mash, green beans, peppercorn demi-glace
Outstanding food. The beer cheese and pretzel bread was the best and outstanding meatloaf and mushroom gravy. Great old fashion also. We’ll be back often
Service - Pleasantly surprised to see several servers doing a great job, but we barely saw our waitress & she seemed stand off-ish from the beginning. I doubt the service would've been the same if we were at another table.
Drinks - my husband was happy with his draft Guinness. My martini was half water & half vodka with a splash of olive juice. Absolutely not worth the $8 happy hour price.
Food - husband had the Caesar salad, Dragon burger, & fries. He said the dressing had an off taste to it. The burger lacked seasoning & was over cooked. The fries were ok.
I had the artisan salad & shrimp & grits. The salad was really good! Dressing was light & flavorful & I enjoyed the seeds & dried figs in it. The grits were ok, but not as creamy as expected. I didn't like that the shrimp still had the tails on, but they were cooked perfectly. I'm used to shrimp & grits having a little kick & this version did not at all.
The bill ended up around $60 before tip. This was our one kid free night of the month & a bit of a letdown so we went elsewhere for dessert.
Excellent experience! The menu was varied and I easily found something I wanted to eat! The Southern Shrimp and Grits was excellent. Tasted yummy and was a generous serving. The ambiance was perfect for our special dinner. Our server was very attentive and we so appreciated him working Christmas Eve!
We had exellant food and service. We will go back. It was a pleasant surprise and a bargain.
This place was great. Went on a Sunday afternoon, and was seated immediately. Drinks were strong, and cheap. Food was piping hot and portions were huge. The sweet tea chicken takes the cake! Requested a spicy Bloody Mary and it did not disappoint.
Delicious food and excellent service!
Sunday brunch was delicious and affordable. We had a great time with friends
We really want this restaurant to be awesome because it’s the only semi nice, fun bar place around us. Since reopening after Covid it’s been an increasing disappointment.
When we first sat down it took forever for the server to greet us, take our drink order and actually bring them to our table. It was no less than 20 minutes and probably longer! We finally ordered and I chose the rotisserie chicken but about 30 minutes later the server came to tell me they ran out of chicken. Really? No chicken? Ok, I didn’t want the other three people to wait, so I just ordered the flatbread pizza. My wife ordered the salmon and requested it to be cooked through ( She orders this exact same dish every time we eat there) When the food arrived her fish was dried out, overcooked and charred. There were no side fish vegetables on the plate as usual. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich ordered by our friend… the bun was rock hard and dried out. The chicken was dry and over cooked. The server gave the aura of “ I could not care less”. And by his service and responses that was exactly what we got.
Overall, we have been regular customers at both the bar area and the in-dining section and this restaurant SHOULD be awesome. We want it to be awesome! Last night will most likely be our last patronage due to the food and service being increasingly sub-par quality.
Food was terrific, but like most restaurants they just don't have enough servers. We waited 20 minutes at the table for any acknowledgement that we were there. Finally went and found someone to bring water. The rest of the meal went along those lines for a couple of hours. Good food, nice servers, but complety insufficient staff. On the plus side, we didn't feel rushed! ;-)
Food was terrible. Ribs were rubbery. Kids pizza was borderline inedible. Kale and Spinach Salmon Salad had no Kale and was fish slapped on top of warm spinach.
Great food (Flatbread with steak was outstanding snd the salad as well as the meatloaf) , drinks (Old Fashioneds) and service
Good selection of beers and craft cocktails. Great Tuesday night specials. Wife had salmon and I had the southern meat loaf.
It was a celebration date. It was loud, the service was slow. Food was pretty good.
Food was great and great customer service very attentive and courteous.
We had a wonderful brunch, the food was great, and the service was excellent and fast. We looked at the extensive regular menu also and plan to come back soon. We highly recommend the brunch, though. $2.00 Mimosas and $3.00 Bloody Marys are an added treat. Good food, Good Service!!
Food and service was great.
Pretty disappointed with our experience. Manager was not hospitable, would rather sit down visit a table of guests he knew versus checking with other dine in guests. Our server was smoking outside when we pulled in at the back of the restaurant. Server failed to return for refills. Meat loaf was dry, fries were limpy, mash potatoes were cold. Will not recommend and will not return again.
Don't sit by the windows or you'll be swatting flies throughout your dining. We asked for clean silverware twice and two of the four still had dirty knives.
The steak was cooked perfectly - on 1/2 of it, the mahi and salmon were both overcooked but all the food was very flavorful and serviced hot.
Sammy was a good waiter. Careful when walking around, their vinyl flooring is oddly slippery. I'd give them another shot though.
Salmon was good, but the rice has a tomatillo sauce, which it is swimming in. Something like that should be noted in the menu as Tomatillo would have been a no-go for the Salmon.
Also, the pecan crusted chicken - great concept - but was drenched in a brown gravy. Not mentioned on the menu. One would think this would be either on the side or at least mentioned. Also, that type of a dish seems like it would be far better paired with some sort of light jelly/jam spread to off-set the heaviness of a pecan crusted chicken. Had a great flavor - but gravy was a bit off (fine for brown gravy, but not expected on that dish).
Ordered some roasted brussel sprouts off the app menu. The pecans and cranberries are a nice addition to that. The brussel sprouts were more side dish quality, not appetizer quality - which is normally a bit more candied and tasty at other places - or at least that is what we expected. Otherwise, it was just down the middle of what we try usually hit at home when we don't cook it quite enough.
Service was great - atmosphere pretty decent.
The food and drinks were excellent and the staff was very friendly. Service was a little slow. But overall it was a great experience. As a side note, if you like Old Fashions try the Smoked Old Fashioned. The tableside preparation was fun to watch and the drink was very good.
The food wasn’t as good as the first time.
Patty was and is AWESOME! I hope she is there my next visit. Very customer oriented, attentive to your needs as a patron, laughed and cut up with my sisters and I. Just kind and genuine.
When we arrived no one greeted us. Several employees saw us standing at the desk but didn’t say a word. We were there 5-7 minutes before the manager came to seat us. He said nothing about being sorry for the wait.
We were thankful we waited because our waiter Tristan was excellent. He was very attentive and hospitable. The food was perfect as always.
I saw the manager standing around visiting with some of the staff during our meal.
We will give them another chance. Hope the staff has it together next time.
Great food. The experience of their smoked old fashioned was great. Over all great experience.
Steaks were not charred and weren't flipped 90 degrees. Mostly grey in color, very little black on the outside.
Drinks were good.
Great service and food. A bit noisy so conversation was challenging
Great food and very attentive service. The fish and chips were great and if the fries are to heavy for you sub theme with the jicama coleslaw. We also tried to whiskey flight and were impressed with the selections. Great atmosphere for a casual dining experience
We go there all the time and everything we have tried has been excellent. My favorite is the Atlantic Salmon.
Great food, service and was easy to get a table
Very enjoyable evening with exemplary service. Thanks.
Great brunch!! So glad to have a great restaurant near us.
a little pricey, but the pecan chicken was excellent. the mash potatoes are soft and tasty. i dare say it is the best restaurant around the firewheel area.
The special, choose 2 of 4 for $22, is a great value. There was zero wait for a table for 2 at 6 pm on a Tuesday. We were seated in a busy area with several large parties. One table had crying babies. Wasn’t a deal breaker but did get a little noisy towards the end of our meal. Food was great but we did have to flag down the waitress a couple of times. It didn’t impact our food, but she was busy with the 2 larger parties. Still, overall, a good experience. The shrimp and grits was outstanding
The food was amazing our waitress was excellent, especially with it being Father’s Day. We did not wait very long to get our food. The dessert was also amazing.
Everything was good but it took a long time to get our food. The waitress said the kitchen was backed up but it had not been that busy at the time we were there.
Great food and service. Our party had a lot of catching up to do and we’re not rushed.
First time to visit this restaurant. No one recommended this restaurant to us as we don't live in the area. Very pleased with this restaurant. Good food but service was awesome! Our server was very helpful with menu questions and she was very attentive. Highly recommend.
I prefer dinner here rather than brunch but overall a great place to eat! Recommend the Pecan Crusted Chicken and an Old Fashioned!
Great place and prices are good. Noise level in the back of the restaurant get loud. But all in all I’d rate the restaurant a 4.5 out of 5
Good food and service. The Bourbon Butter cake was very nice.
