About
I always enjoy dining here. A wonderful neighborhood place.
Excellent as always. A quiet respite from a noisy world.
Thank you for the wonderful Dinner. It was fresh and tasty. The service was also great. They social distanced they parties and we were all safe.
Food was very good. Ambiance was pleasant. Service was a bit slow. Prices were on the high side for a strip mall in the suburbs.
We shared the lamb meatballs appetizer. We asked for the shredded bread, and they graciously gave that to us, which was great with the meatballs. We both got the Amish chicken--it was nice and moist, and very flavorful. We got glasses of the Jackson Estates cabernet. All in all an excellent meal. We went early (5 PM) because of coronavirus concerns, and it was nice and quiet. Server was very helpful answering questions. To top it off, we took some of the chicken home, and they gave us extras shredded bread as well to take home. How nice is that?
Our favorite neighborhood place. We've been many times - enjoy the food and the ambience.
all was good but the service was very slow. We had not seen our guest for a while so we did have time for catchup while waiting.
Wildwood Kitchen is a neighborhood restaurant with extraordinary food at a reasonable price. The kitchen creates imaginative and favorable twists on dishes. The service is thoughtful without being intrusive. The noise level is reasonable for a DC area restaurant. Overall, Wildwood Kitchen is good enough to be a "destination restaurant" and not just a neighborhood one.
I have eaten here probably a dozen times. Never a bad meal.
Food was great and came out of the kitchen quickly we enjoye the kale salad, beet salad and crispy cauliflower appetizer. We had the pasta entree which was delicious. We also enjoyed dessert. The manager checked on us a few tines during dinner which was nice. We enjoyed our meal very much.
. . .
Excellent food in a quiet setting. Beautifully prepared and presented. Selection is varied with something for everyone. My spinach crepe and passion fruit sorbet were delicious. Our group had not seen each other in a long time and our server did not press us to order quickly.
Awesome lunch.
Delightful menu with a great mix of flavours and tastes for every palette.
Wonderful service, attentive but not obsessive.
Great prices. WInderfuldrinks menu too.
Wow. The bartender had no personality. Disappeared to wait on tables. And when my guest asked for another drink to get one in under the wire for happy hour, was told by the bartender she could only serve her one drink at a time. I asked for another drink and was told when the bartender returned she would make it for me. Then, she returned and never looked my way. So i decided to order something simpler that the maitre’d could handle. He proceeds to tell me that they can only serve a max of 3 drinks per hour in the county. I was there an hour and had two very weak margaritas. I told him I only had two and would like a vodka on the rocks. I was not inebriated and people sitting near me were amazed he said that. Too bad The food is great. The service sucks and the bartender has absolutely no personality. I think they were annoyed we were ordering from the happy hour menu — then why have one. Even though for two we spent $100. Won’t be returning there.
The service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was superb. The wine pour (single glass) was generous and the NZ Sauv Blanc was excellent. We enjoyed the salmon which was plated medium rare. Again right on the mark. We lingered after two espressos and felt no pressure to clear the table. We will be back.
Thank you!
While over-priced, the food and the service is top notch.
short menu, but very encompassing. soups are outstanding! service is excellent. Very Highly recommended
We had a good dinner at Wildwood. The service was excellent, except there was no salt or pepper on the table. The atmosphere is a little barren and thus cold. It is a good neighbor restaurant, although slightly pricey for that .
Fabulous friendly neighborhood restaurant. Warm and welcoming staff with a very low-key environment. Great specials and amazing pizza!
Maybe it was what I ordered (spinach crepes) but they were just OK. I think the restaurant is very high priced for lunch.
Had a lovely experience with all things except noise level. Difficult to hear persons at own table!
The food was delicious. The cauliflower appetizer and the kale salad were amazing. I will definitely go back. It took a long time for our server to ask for our drink order, and a long time to get the drinks, but other than that the service was great.
Wildwood Kitchen never dissappoints. The food is delicious and service outstanding. Last Saturday afternoon I met a close friend and we spent a long time enjoying lunch and catching up. Everyone was very professional and warm. Both of us enjoyed a crepe with spinach and gruyere chesse. It was served with a side salad and delicious. I always find it always a pleasure to dine at Wildwood Kitchen. It is a neighborhood gem and a place any foodie can count on getting a delicious meal made with very fresh ingredients.
Absolutely delicious Valentine’s Day dinner. Enjoyed the selections (and wine parings) for the pre-fixe menu.
Wish Wildwood would add new items to the menu!
We have dined at Wildwood Kitchen frequently, but unfortunately the menu seldom changes and the number of specials is few. Beyond that, our waitperson did not approach us for more than 10 minutes because she was describing her law school experiences to a couple at the next table. To top it all off, the restaurant did not have any of the first three bottles of wine we ordered, despite the fact that they were on the by-the-bottle wine list.
We are great fans of the Wiedmaier restaurants, but this dining experience did not live up to our expectations.
As WK regulars, we've come to expect a lot, and once again we were not disappointed. Especially good were the kale salad (yes the kale salad) and the hanger steak.
It was our first time dining at Wildwood and it was AWESOME!! Everyone made us feel so welcome and the food was dynamite! We will be returning real soon!!
We were celebrating my daughter's birthday. She is a vegetarian and was able to find many things on the menu that she could eat. As we left she said she was going to recommend the restaurant to her best friend who works in the food industry. My only disappointment was, even though I mentioned when I made our reservation, that it was a birthday celebration, no mention was made of it and no token dessert was offered as is done in so many restaurants. We spent $100+ dollars for lunch for two, which I feel is pricey for two pasta entrees, some cauliflower and carrot soup and one glass of wine. Everything was delicious and artistically presented, so it was worth it for an occasional treat. However, it will be a while before I will be going back.
Always tops!
The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The wait staff was attentive and professional.
Lovely little place! The food was delicious! Our waitress was extremely helpful as well. Will definitely go back.
This is the same server I had last time. Nice but tentative. Does not anticipate well... omelette was disappointing but pasta was excellent.
Great food! Seafood Tangine and Duck Confit were excellent! Server was lovely and very helpful. Spoke with Nick the manager-very kind!!
My wife and I ate dinner with a couple of friends. Overall the food, especially dessert, was excellent, but my wife was not happy with her hanger steak dinner, which was skimpy and tough. As always, the service and atmosphere were excellent.
Really nice neighborhood restaurant in an upscale strip mall. Excellent food created with care. Wonderful service. The ambience is fine but not particularly special.
It was very expensive for what we
Great for a small get together.
Everything was great! Food and service both excellent. Highly recommend Wildwood Kitchen.
Wish this restaurant was in my neighborhood. It's comfortable. Classy without pretension. The food was excellent. The service was the same. I would be a regular.
