Very nice meal here with my husband and mother-in-law. I picked it because the food is great and you can hold a conversation. The grilled halloumi cheese starter was especially tasty but everything was good. Love this place.
The veal burger was the best thing I have eaten almost ever. Our waiter was great.
Delicious ! Small, intimate restaurant with great menu. Would definitely recommend.
Delish and great service!
One of the much better options in the immediate vicinity, creative middle eastern themed food. Our only complaint was fact that it took about 30 min for our entree to be served and it wasn't that busy when we first ordered.
We have been here a handful of times and have never been disappointed. Excellent dinner all around. The eggplant hummus with balsamic drizzle was served with warm pita - I could have just eaten that for dinner. My husband got the scallops and cleaned his plate. I had a fish special which was outstanding. Interesting and unique ingredients. The best may have been dessert- warm ricotta pie with crispy phyllo dough shreds and pistachio ice cream. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely be back!
I was extremely disappointed in Wildwood Kitchen. I specifically booked this restaurant for a girls' BRUNCH because their website advertises brunch on Saturday and Sunday. However, when we arrived, we were told that they no longer do brunch on Saturdays and that their website needed to be updated. They acted like it was no big deal and just eat lunch instead. But we didn't want lunch, we wanted brunch. Then it was like pulling teeth to get them to make a bloody mary. They didn't want to but we insisted. I mean, every bar that serves brunch at some point during the weekend has the ingredients for a bloody mary! The food was good but because of the fact that they don't even take the time to update their website and ruined our brunch, I will not be back and I most certainly won't recommend them to others. Who knows what you might get if they don't update their website. This is the age of the internet. Come on.
The entrees were outstanding, and the service attentive. Our only disappointment was with the dessert menu, which featured nothing that appealed to us and, at $12 per dessert, seemed overpriced. We didn't get dessert, opting instead to go to another restaurant that featured a "peanut butter thing" that was irresistible.
A gem. Foodies should go. First time while in town from Houston. Will return.
Everything here is always wonderful - my only comment is on the prices. I find the cost of the food and the drinks to be about 20% over every other restaurant in the area. Not that it's not worth it, but everything here is VERY expensive.
Yet another wonderful meal at Wildwood Kitchen. Great place for conversation without shouting!
Traffic delayed our arrival a bit, but we were warmly welcomed, and within minutes the ambiance and a happy hour drink provided a calming influence. Wait staff rendered attentive service at the start and remained attentive even as the restaurant filled. Menu includes many tempting choices, and our appetizer (duck liver pate) and main courses (a special, duck confit, and an entree from the menu, bistro steak au piovre) proved beautiful to look at and wonderful to eat. Instead of a dessert, we split the honey crisp apple salad. Great idea! We'll look for an excuse to return soon with friends.
Visit with my mom who I haven’t seen in years.
OUTSTANDING! Food and service top notch!
Steak tender as can be.
Will definitely be back!
Small plates/first courses tastier than mains. Too many flavors on one plate and taste of scallops gets lost in the stronger flavor of the sides. Price of main courses seems high given the small quantity.
Lovely neighborhood gem! Definitely would recommend for a special occasion. The food was delicious - salmon exquisite!
Was just okay this time, not anything more. Disappointed.
One of the best meals I've had in the DC area in years! EVERYTHING, from start to finish, was outstanding.
Food provided did not correspond with menu and waiter did not forewarn us before food was delivered. Food was a huge disappointment and not as described on the menu. I would be afraid to go back and order as I would not be comfortable with what we might actually be served.
Sister and husband were in town and we wanted an opportunity to try someplace new. Overall the experience was very positive. Food was very good and service was attentive without being annoying. Especially enjoyed the mediterranean seabass that was crispy on teh outside and moist in. Had a great time and the decision to try was worth the somewhat out of the way drive.
I love this place. It never disappoints. The food, the service, are very impressive.
As usual, a very good experience. The only negative — and a minor one — was having to wait on ordering because of what must have been some confusion regarding who would initially take our order. After that, the service was very good and the meal excellent. The duck breast was outstanding as were the other entrees. Also, the place is fairly small, quiet and a great place to catch up with friends and family. Thanks Wildwood team.
Delicious food - just not a lot of it. Price fixe menu for Valentine's Day, which I was not aware of when making reservation on Open Table. $80 pp. Restaurant was half empty - maybe next year ditch that and allow diners to order from regular menu.
Great server, good food. But the restaurant ran out of lobster as it’s special surf and turf entry and rather than tell patrons, they substituted shrimp. Not exactly the same thing. It’s best to not surprise guests - especially negatively
Food was average and serving sizes very small for the price.
Our second visit and each time impeccable service and great food
We went because someone who worked there suggested Wildwood Kitchen had an excellent menu. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent; the service was excellent (attendant but not hovering); ambiance was just right. We will be back and will encourage others to have a meal at Wildwood Kitchen.
Wildwood Kitchen is a lovely place to meet friends for a delicious lunch with nice service
Food was great, as usual. I usually order the chicken. My friend had the salmon. Great flavor.
Food was delicious services great
We were 3 high school friends (many years out of high school) meeting for dinner as we try to do a few times a year. One of the gals had been before but 2 of us hadn't. Food was delicious and the restaurant was very nice and very quaint. I wouldn't have expected as much in this little shopping center but I was very pleasantly surprised. I will be back!
This is my go-to place in Bethesda--easy parking, great cooking, excellent wait staff.
We really enjoyed our food, the service and overall experience at Wildwood Kitchen. We will definitely be back again.
Went in on a Monday night to try something new with the wife. Had heard great things from a few friends. Definitely did not disappoint. We had the grilled octopus and the duck confit special. Both were amazing with outstanding flavor. Our service was top notch also, if you go in ask for Lauren.
Mary was our server, she was fantastic. She helped us navigate their menu since I have dietary issues. The food was perfect, we can’t wait to return.
We feel lucky to have this "neighborhood spot" that's worth the drive from somewhere else. As always, service was friendly but not nosy, helpful yet fun, and read our whole party well. The food is inventive and satisfying, and yet we can eat here with "plain eaters." A win-win place. PS - eating a stolen quiet lunch at the bar for a working mama is a real treat!
The food, and its combinations, is incredible. This is my new favorite restaurant.
Great food and wonderful service! Amish chicken a great choice.
Always great - thanks
