Wish Wildwood would add new items to the menu!
We have dined at Wildwood Kitchen frequently, but unfortunately the menu seldom changes and the number of specials is few. Beyond that, our waitperson did not approach us for more than 10 minutes because she was describing her law school experiences to a couple at the next table. To top it all off, the restaurant did not have any of the first three bottles of wine we ordered, despite the fact that they were on the by-the-bottle wine list.
We are great fans of the Wiedmaier restaurants, but this dining experience did not live up to our expectations.
As WK regulars, we've come to expect a lot, and once again we were not disappointed. Especially good were the kale salad (yes the kale salad) and the hanger steak.
It was our first time dining at Wildwood and it was AWESOME!! Everyone made us feel so welcome and the food was dynamite! We will be returning real soon!!
We were celebrating my daughter's birthday. She is a vegetarian and was able to find many things on the menu that she could eat. As we left she said she was going to recommend the restaurant to her best friend who works in the food industry. My only disappointment was, even though I mentioned when I made our reservation, that it was a birthday celebration, no mention was made of it and no token dessert was offered as is done in so many restaurants. We spent $100+ dollars for lunch for two, which I feel is pricey for two pasta entrees, some cauliflower and carrot soup and one glass of wine. Everything was delicious and artistically presented, so it was worth it for an occasional treat. However, it will be a while before I will be going back.
The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The wait staff was attentive and professional.
Lovely little place! The food was delicious! Our waitress was extremely helpful as well. Will definitely go back.
This is the same server I had last time. Nice but tentative. Does not anticipate well... omelette was disappointing but pasta was excellent.
Great food! Seafood Tangine and Duck Confit were excellent! Server was lovely and very helpful. Spoke with Nick the manager-very kind!!
My wife and I ate dinner with a couple of friends. Overall the food, especially dessert, was excellent, but my wife was not happy with her hanger steak dinner, which was skimpy and tough. As always, the service and atmosphere were excellent.
Really nice neighborhood restaurant in an upscale strip mall. Excellent food created with care. Wonderful service. The ambience is fine but not particularly special.
It was very expensive for what we
Great for a small get together.
Everything was great! Food and service both excellent. Highly recommend Wildwood Kitchen.
Wish this restaurant was in my neighborhood. It's comfortable. Classy without pretension. The food was excellent. The service was the same. I would be a regular.
My husband and I love this place. Great happy hour, fabulous dinner menu, and wonderful staff, especially the host/bartender, Nick. perfect for a date night, a girls' night, or a quick drink at the bar.
Great neighborhood gem with a great menu and a very cool vibe!
The food is fundamentally good but the menu is quite limited and does not change frequently. Cost is fairly high given average decor and good but not fabulous food.
Food excellent and chef customized our selection due to food allergies.
our waiter was a bit terse. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Felt like it was good food but nothing special. And expensive for what you got. There was not anything unique or interesting about our meal.
My only suggestion is to have the light fixtures over the booths
set at a lower setting . It was a little too bright.
Great service, help with wine a meal that was spot in!
Duck was expensive, but good for two meals and we have to come back for more. Please don’t remove from menu!!!!
Cozy, casual, local restaurant. Food is very good, though fairly pricey.
We've dined at WK many times, but this was our best meal to date: superb salads and beyond delicious steak.
The braised crispy duck is superb
I like this place and it’s ambiance. Food is usually good to very good. But unfortunately this day food was very average 👎
Delicious New Year’s Eve celebration.
Our friends were apprehensive about the price fix menu for New Year's Eve, but we all loved the food and had a great wine recommendation!
This a special New Year’s Eve for their Prix Fixe Menu review; not the normal menu.
We love Wildwood and wanted to have a quiet and intimate meal. All expectations for the service was there and we were seated quickly. The Prix Fixe Menu was well laid out and the choices were good. The price was $85 per person and that was a reasonable price for NYE.
At the same time; the food was well prepared and tasted fantastic; I just wish the portions were slightly bigger. Don’t get me wrong; I am not expecting a huge feeding trough... just a little more.
The Chestnut/Foie Gras soup was amazing, but was seriously like 10-12 spoonfuls. The peppercorn steak was great by being perfectly prepared. It would have been great to be just a little bigger.
Anyway... we love this place and will be back many more times in the future.
Great food! Nice waiter but he asked too many times how the food was.
We had a great anniversary dinner at Wildwood and I plan to buy a gift card for my bro so he can do the same this summer. Great food, great service, and lovely anniversary perks! The only odd thing I found for the evening was the choice of music. I thought the 80’s rock music was a bit antithetical to the dining experience. As a musician, I would have opted for jazz or classical, only because the average age was mid 60’s, and I doubt those folks are into 80’s rock. A little food for thought...ba dump bump!
The pasta we ordered had no taste whatsoever and we returned as uneatable. The cauliflower we were served instead was pretty good.
The duck, the second dish ordered, was good but not as good as it should or could be.
Both the appetizer (Lamb meatballs) and the dessert (rum cake)were excellent. If only the main dishes had been as good.
We had eaten at Wildwood Kitchen several times in the past and therefore again expected food of outstanding quality. All in all, a very disappointing experience.
Enjoyed a delicious Christmas Eve lunch.
The bread, the meatballs, and the vanilla ice cream were amazing as always.
This is a good, not great, neighborhood restaurant. It's got quite a limited menu and is expensive.
Food was really great. A nice quiet place to sit and talk with friends.
Entree choices are limited. My choices were tasty but not what I really wanted.
Tgeur good id too salty and the service was very slow and the place very noisy. Maybe there were many holiday lunches that day.
