Felt like it was good food but nothing special. And expensive for what you got. There was not anything unique or interesting about our meal.
My only suggestion is to have the light fixtures over the booths
set at a lower setting . It was a little too bright.
Great service, help with wine a meal that was spot in!
Duck was expensive, but good for two meals and we have to come back for more. Please don’t remove from menu!!!!
Cozy, casual, local restaurant. Food is very good, though fairly pricey.
We've dined at WK many times, but this was our best meal to date: superb salads and beyond delicious steak.
The braised crispy duck is superb
I like this place and it’s ambiance. Food is usually good to very good. But unfortunately this day food was very average 👎
Delicious New Year’s Eve celebration.
Our friends were apprehensive about the price fix menu for New Year's Eve, but we all loved the food and had a great wine recommendation!
This a special New Year’s Eve for their Prix Fixe Menu review; not the normal menu.
We love Wildwood and wanted to have a quiet and intimate meal. All expectations for the service was there and we were seated quickly. The Prix Fixe Menu was well laid out and the choices were good. The price was $85 per person and that was a reasonable price for NYE.
At the same time; the food was well prepared and tasted fantastic; I just wish the portions were slightly bigger. Don’t get me wrong; I am not expecting a huge feeding trough... just a little more.
The Chestnut/Foie Gras soup was amazing, but was seriously like 10-12 spoonfuls. The peppercorn steak was great by being perfectly prepared. It would have been great to be just a little bigger.
Anyway... we love this place and will be back many more times in the future.
Great food! Nice waiter but he asked too many times how the food was.
We had a great anniversary dinner at Wildwood and I plan to buy a gift card for my bro so he can do the same this summer. Great food, great service, and lovely anniversary perks! The only odd thing I found for the evening was the choice of music. I thought the 80’s rock music was a bit antithetical to the dining experience. As a musician, I would have opted for jazz or classical, only because the average age was mid 60’s, and I doubt those folks are into 80’s rock. A little food for thought...ba dump bump!
The pasta we ordered had no taste whatsoever and we returned as uneatable. The cauliflower we were served instead was pretty good.
The duck, the second dish ordered, was good but not as good as it should or could be.
Both the appetizer (Lamb meatballs) and the dessert (rum cake)were excellent. If only the main dishes had been as good.
We had eaten at Wildwood Kitchen several times in the past and therefore again expected food of outstanding quality. All in all, a very disappointing experience.
Enjoyed a delicious Christmas Eve lunch.
The bread, the meatballs, and the vanilla ice cream were amazing as always.
This is a good, not great, neighborhood restaurant. It's got quite a limited menu and is expensive.
Food was really great. A nice quiet place to sit and talk with friends.
Entree choices are limited. My choices were tasty but not what I really wanted.
Tgeur good id too salty and the service was very slow and the place very noisy. Maybe there were many holiday lunches that day.
Entrees were well prepared and delicious. We definitely plan on visiting Wildwood Kitchen again.
We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated immediately in 2-person booth (as requested). It took more than 5 minutes for us to get the attention of someone (the bartender) that we had not seen a waiter or received water. He kindly got things moving and a waiter showed up a few minutes later. She was not apologetic at all but was very attentive for the remainder of our meal. My advice -don’t seat people if the wait staff or other helpers aren’t ready to acknowledge the guests. A greeting, some water, and “I’ll be right over to get your drink order” is more than sufficient if the restaurant is busy turning over tables. The staff clearing tables could have greeted us but we felt that we were ignored. We ordered the paella and sangria. It was delicious and remainder of our meal quite pleasant. We were even treated to a bit of champagne to toast our special occasion.
Excellent service and food, well displayed on plate. The salmon with risotto was superb. Highly recommend.
We shared the braised lamb meatballs, then we both had the Loch Duart salmon. All the food was excellent. The two meatballs are really good, and the salmon comes with Pumpkin Risotto, Swiss Chard, and a Basil Sage Emulsion. The combination is inspired. We had glasses of a nice cabernet -- Jackson Estates. The ONLY negative is that we were looking forward to the shredded bread that we've had there in the past, but they've discontinued it. They serve the same bread, but it's not the way it was shredded and toasted with olive oil on top--we hope they bring it back!
We had a terrific dining experience at Wildwood Kitchen. The atmosphere is quiet and attractive. The service was friendly and professional. The food was off the chart! My butternut squash soup and Chilean sea bass were super. My partner loved her food as well. We highly recommend Wildwood Kitchen!
Best gourmet restaurant in Bethesda!!!
The food here is delicious and beautifully presented. I've never seen a lovelier plate of short ribs. The other diners were similarly pleased with their choices.
The service was above and beyond. I booked for a business dinner, and we were a party of 4, then 5, but maybe 6, but actually 5. My colleague and I arrived early to pre-meet, but then so did everyone else, and it was a tad confusing. The staff at Wildwood handled it all graciously, not rushing our pre-dinner conversation and moving us from bar to table without missing a beat.
Highly recommend for date night, business meals, or really anything.
We have ordered the dinner special dinner (paella) and it was awful. Never had an any paella that tasted so bad. It
came with unlimited sangria but the waitress never came back to fill our glasses. I would not recommend this restaurant.
This a very nice place to have an early dinner before a concert: the food is very good, the ambience is pleasant, and Strathomre is less than 10 minues way. Been there a few times, will come again.
Good service in a popular place. Diverse menu, food was prepared quickly and was good. Cozy place with nice ambiance. Only complaint, brewed coffee pretty awful.
Not as it used to be, leading me to believe might be closing or different chef. No cocktail menu, unusual. Food was nothing special and the Malabie dessert was a let down. Used to be my go to restaurant for a special event so rather disappointing.
Intimate and beautifully designed restaurant space. We enjoyed a special meal for two featuring delicious vegetarian appetizers, an over the top seafood paella and an ingenious chocolate bombe with nods to s’mores (including some yummy toasted marshmallow sauce! Our server was friendly and helpful plus the manager stopped by twice to make sure everything was perfect! We will be back!!
Superb service. We felt valued. Sea bass entree was terrific.
Very good food, Our table had salmon, chicken, duck, and spareribs. All were presented in a very appetizing way and were indeed as delicious as they looked.
We have enjoyed many outstanding meals at Wildwood Kitchen since it opened. This was the first disappointment. The preparation of the shortrib turned out to be a disappointment. The meat was tough and there was not the excellent sauce that is anticipated. Sorry to be negative about one dish, but it lowered my rating this time.
Bread and beet salad! Delicious!
Delicious food, although not too inventive. Server was inexperienced but very pleasant. Comfortable , pretty room. Best of all, it was quiet enough to be able to have a great dinner conversation.
Smallest portion imaginable—-especially for the price.
We had lunch at the restaurant. It was a very nice experience. Everything was delicious.
Had a wonderful meal but missed the bread they used to serve!
Wildwood Kitchen never disappoints. Great service and beautiful food.
