Great Restaurant Week lunch. I'm ready to return any time my budget permits it. Limited selection for RW, but every bit of it delicious and beautifully presented, including chilled corn soup, lamb meatballs, entree salad starring peaches and shrimp (I wanted more), chocolate "halvah" dessert, and a strawberry, lemony cheesecake of sorts. The bread (crusty) and infused oil was great, too. Although there were only 2 of us, we were seated at a large, comfortable booth. Restaurant was almost empty. We discovered why in a few minutes - the a/c had failed, and people had walked out. But I'm very glad we stayed. 4 stars on service only because we weren't offered a glass of wine, or ... in light of the a/c issue.
Our lunch salads were rather heavy, too much oily dressing. We wished a lighter summer meal.
Always wonderful. DON’T skip the bread and herbed olive oil!
Truly a neighborhood gem. The restaurant is slower than usual because of the parking lot construction. It's a good time to go and get a table or seat at the bar. The manager really seems to know the customers and clearly cares about his work. The bar staff have my wife's drink memorized. And to have a 4.4/4.5 restaurant in the neighborhood is really terrific. I haven't mentioned the food, which is consistently very good and the bread, which is unique. I encourage people in the area to go and support the restaurant during this slow time.
Wonderful caesar salad with perfectly prepared salmon (medium rare, as requested). Anchovies on the side. Mouth watering bread slightly toasted. A treat!
As a French restaurant they could not deliver the steak as requested so had to be sent back. Food otherwise was good.
Wonderful birthday dinner! Creative dishes, thoughtful service and good drinks!
I had been to Wildwood before and was pleased. This time not so much. Sending private note to restaurant.
This was not the best experience we have had at this restaurant. My husband got the red wine flight, two of which were oxidized and terrible tasting. The bread we were served was burnt (we were so hungry we at it anyway). My dish, the sea bass was tasteless. However, my husband had the beef and it was very good. They tried to make up for it by giving me a corn soup and an extra glass of wine and also a new entree, but it still was not a good experience. We eat out alot and have rarely had such an overall poor experience. It may have just been an off night but we won't go back.
It’s decent value and good quality, but ownership needs to diversify and expand the menu. It’s getting a bit stale.
Inventive and different— a real gem for Bethesda
Great food. Perfectly prepared. Our waitress, Dimitria, was fantastic. She offered suggestions from wine, to drinks, to entrees and they all exceeded expectations! Awesome to find people so helpful with great personality ! We’ll be back!
Great food, great service, in a very comfortable environment,
Went to celebrate a birthday. The beet salad and duck pate appetizers were bright and flavorful. The scallops were perfectly sautéed and generous. The duck breast was rich
Food was fresh and delicious. Cocktails custom made. Service was A+.
Stopped by for lunch for to reviews. The duck was fantastic. The house bread was warm and cooked to perfection. Accompanying table olive oils were a nice pairing. The lamb was just ok but the side dishes were nicely coordinated, colorful and flavorful. The service was top notch. Prices were on the high end but comparable to Bethesda eateries. I’d go back & have desert next time.
Intimate restaurant small. Can’t go wrong ordering specials outstanding food presentations
We stumbled upon this restaurant purely by accident, but we're so glad that we did. We thought we were making a reservation for another restaurant at the other end of the plaza. Wildwood Kitchen was a fantastic find. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Delicious food! Portions where on the small side.... cozy little place, very hot inside...asked for the ac to be cranked multiple times
A little pricey for lunch, but the seafood tagine was outstanding! Very accommodating kitchen. Food timed nicely. The octopus appetizer was very good. Getting out of the shopping center after the meal was a real struggle however. A number of eating places in a small center made it very congested at lunchtime.
We were celebrating two birthdays, and all had a good time. I liked the proportion of protein to grains and vegetables. A healthy meal and very tasty!
Chef is an excellent cook. Food is well prepared and very tasteful. Should modify the menu periodically. Always a very good meal.
Food was mediocre, not great but not bad. However, prices are pretty high. Thus, not a great value.
Great bistro food and drink...new favorite drink a specialty of the bartender...Mediterranean Mule made with black fig vodka
Wonderful meal -- both salmon and steak were delicious and perfectly cooked. The Orange- flavored dessert was superb. Thoughtful, friendly service. A favorite place that we return to often.
John was our server. He was outstanding—decidedly knowledgeable, and excited about doing his job well and making our experience wonderful, which it was. The food was exceptional. We chose wisely at John’s expert recommendation. This was our first time at Wildwood and it won’t be our last! Great food, great drinks, great ambiance ... exceptionally great service!
Excellent, as usual! My very favorite restaurant!
Unlike previous visits, this one had a dish that was overcooked at best and past its freshness point at worst. The seafood stew was overcooked, except for the octopus, and had a very peculiar odor. Because I was with a friend who had suggested going there, I didn’t complain; but shortly after had a bout of stomach cramping, etc. The beet salad and the chocolate bombe were delicious. I would eat there just for that dessert.
Hats off to Chef Brandon Shapiro. His food never disappoints!
An intimate restaurant for reasonably quiet dinner with friends or a special occasion. The decor is warm and comfortable and the staff is friendly and attentive. The menu has just enough offerings to be happy with your selection. Of note was the eggplant hummus appetizer and the grilled lamb striploin entree. Save room for dessert, the dark chocolate mousse bombe was very good.
Service was extremely slow! Food was fair. Not worth returning
This is a fine restaurant, with attentive service.
The menu is a little bit salmon-heavy, and does not change very often. They do have daily specials, but on the whole the restaurant might get more repeat business if it varied its offerings more frequently.
Portion size is too small to justify the cost for lunch. $15.00 for two meatballs, $17.00 for a chicken sandwich which had very little chicken.
Great food! All of our dishes were great. Steak was tender and juicy! Salmon was amazing and so was seafood boules as
Nice ambiance and attentive service. Very few gluten free options. Server didn't know where food was sourced from, had to continually visit the kitchen. Food wasn't that flavorful; I ordered the beet salad with chicken and both were kind of bland, lacking seasoning. The chicken was a bit dry and not as flavorful as I'd expect coming from "Pennsylvania" -- could have been a factory farm there for all I know. My friend and I were allowed to linger over coffee and didn't get the sense we'd be kicked out. I would not go back.
Consistently good. Love their lamb balls. Ambience a plus
The food was excellent. Location easy to get to and park.
We celebrated my son’s 22nd birthday. Lauren was amazing and the food was delicious!
The food and beverages (wine and cocktails) here are consistently very good. The soups are amazing and at our recent visit we had a smoked eggplant hummus that was so tasty. Plus, the prices are reasonable and the ambiance is very pleasant. The service is good, as well.
Very nice meal here with my husband and mother-in-law. I picked it because the food is great and you can hold a conversation. The grilled halloumi cheese starter was especially tasty but everything was good. Love this place.
