We have ALWAYS enjoyed Wildflower Cafe; however, the service was poor (our waitress was inattentive), they ignored my husband's request for a special birthday acknowledgement, and the food was only mediocre.

The service was excellent! They called ME to confirm reservations. They also remembered to sing happy birthday to my friend! The food was great. Everyone was so helpful and friendly! I loved the paintings on the walls and the relaxed atmosphere!

Food was good waitress was friendly sly but it took two hours to get food. The kitchen was overwhelmed and the waitress made excuses and told us we were third in line for getting food. I could see the kitchen window and watched five tables receive food before we did after she told us we were third. Waitress also disappeared for long periods of time and told us we were her last table and she had a long drive home.

We’ve always loved this restaurant. We’ve eaten here multiple times over the past 4 years on our trips to Mentone. Unfortunately the price has almost doubled since last year. We were served on paper plates and plastic cups but our steaks were $60 each. I understand covid has made everything harder on small businesses but the prices were really ridiculous unfortunately.

Maybe all the hype about it being ”amazing”, featured in Southern Living Magazine, and reservations highly suggested due to crowds had me expecting a unique and “extra” experience. The waitress was pleasant, the live guitar player/singer was nice, and the food was good - just nothing really exceptional. I realize labor shortages exist with COViD, but paper plates and plastic glasses??! However, your eating options are few in the town.

We actually ate dinner at restaurant twice, once with reservation for family and once just two of us. Great food and experience both times, our teenage daughters enjoyed the restaurant and the shop a good deal. Highly recommend and will eat there when in Mentone again.

The atmosphere was nice and quaint with beautiful flowers. Food was mediocre for the price. Very little seasoning so good was bland. Tomato pie was good after salt n pepper. Hamburger steak came with sauce not identified on menu. My husband even asked what it came with and no mention of the Alfredo type sauce it was smothered with. Food and drinks served in plastic cups and paper plates. Not something I would expect for the prices.

The blacken salmon had no flavor and was over cooked. They charge $33 for their salmon dinner. I told my waitress about my disappointment with my dinner. She said they would take 1/2 off my meal. Well, their half of $33 is $6 and some change. I guess their math is different from mine. And if you are going to over charge on your food, use real plates and bowls. Not paper plates and bowls. Drive 1 1/2 to be served disappointment. Waitress was awesome.

Excellent food, extremely kind and hospitable staff. Prices were a little steep on the market priced items, which is of course due to supply costs, not the fault of the restaurant. Food here always takes a while, which isn’t a problem, just go knowing that and don’t show up starving! The food is worth the wait. Fresh and made with love. And you can’t beat the ambiance of this country mountain gem.

We took out of town friends to Wildflowers Cafe for lunch. It was a perfect experience. Admittedly, we are great fans of this restaurant and it’s creator, LC Moon. The place and the people are full of personality. Quite honestly, you will not find any place like the Wildflower anywhere else. The character of Mentone is captured and on display at the Wildflower!

I was a solo diner at lunch. I made reservations and arrived early but was seated as soon as they could. I got sat in the area with glass door walls in a booth with bus seats which I loved. The waitress walked past several times before she ever acknowledged me which was the only negative part. Once she waited on me she paid more attention. I had the tomato pie which was delish and the chicken salad sandwich with chips. I was only able to eat half but it was perfect. The place has a hippie vibe which I am totally so I loved that. I would recommend this to everyone!!!!! But make a reservation because they fill up fast. Very popular in that area.
